Afw or discord matches

Mon Oct 14, 2019 12:10 am by wrestleryu

Hi there guys. I'm mostly seeking female opponents for mixed wrestling matches to be played here or discord. I'd play my boys as either uppity jobbers or switches, depending on scenario settings and personal likings ;p

Since I'm being quite active on discord recently, here's my discord for those who may like to add me:

Powering down for a few Cycles...

Hello. Just joined the site. VHiQxC2

Hello one and all.

First, I would like to apologize for the delays on my threads. I have been pretty silent over the past few weeks on this site, and I haven't been posting as much as I regularly do. I have been trying to keep up, and post something everyday, but at this point, I'm calling it.

My job is winding down, which oddly enough means my workload is at an all time high. Megatron is making me work overtime, and with the past three weeks being some odd …

Unexpected shit has come

Wed Oct 02, 2019 9:07 am by skip-stop

In the words of Zoltan Chivay, "Long to tell, life is shit"

Therefore, I will be brief. A few days ago, something happened and therefore, from today and for an indefinite period, I greatly slow down in the publication of posts. I will continue to write posts as quickly as possible for my ppv thread because it is ppv. But I have to slow down in all other topics. I will try to keep up the pace, but I will definitely be slower than before this day. I could start writing posts of 4-5 lines, but …

Hello all. I just signed up on this site and look forward to meeting all of you. Right now I am busy reading some of your incredible stories but look forward to creating a fighter and actively getting involved. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to create a fighter here? The character, history, personality I get but I see some of you have stats/moves/strengths etc and I was wondering about those. Thank you.

WELCOME!

I am usually more on the softer side of wrestling here, but Scorpion still has the best greetings Smile

Regarding your questions, there is no best way to create a fighter. Make a character that is fitting to your expections and try to find posting partners who also like the idea or who you can win over with good arguments why they should battle your wrestler. Offer stories or reasons for mutual developments. When you read the profiles you will have noticed that some people have meek or also wild dolls ripe for the picking and others have a roster full of behemoth bombshells to battle other bombshells or pick said dolls.

We don´t have a fixed template for characters. You can set stats as and also only if you want, but I would always advise against a character than is good at everything.

A signature move is a move that wrestlers use to set them apart from other wrestlers and that is supposed to signal the fans that he is in control.

Having strengths shows potential posting partners what they can expect from your girl or boy, if it is aq submission based character, a brawler etc etc...

And the most important thing, AFW is not about winning most of the time. Wink

Welcome to the community!

For general info, you can't go wrong with a few of the topics posted in the rules section. I'll relink them here for your convenience.

General Site Rules
General FAQ, which has a good base template for character profiles inside.
Newbie guide to roleplay concepts.

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to create a fighter here? The character, history, personality I get but I see some of you have stats/moves/strengths etc and I was wondering about those. Thank you.

The stats and such are just flavor mostly, with no enforced value. It's just there as an assessment of how you feel that character stacks up, and even then there isn't really a standard followed with that. My advice to you is just figure out what they mean to you, if anything, and work off of whatever baseline you come up with. I know generally speaking I use a 5 star system.
My baseline is:
One star is below average.
Two is average.
Three is above average.
Four is exceedingly good.
Five is top of their game in that field.

Again, these hold no REAL value. They are here for character flavor and potential guides so people know how they should react when they are being hit by something or want to know how likely it is they could defend, etc. The idea is to keep things fair, and don't go overboard. Not everyone is suppose to be the best at everything.

Moves and such are just whatever you feel the character does. If you are having issues figuring out what works best, consider how they look and how good they are in certain fields and possibly find a real world wrestler to pull a moveset from. If you are very familiar with wrestling, you can just hop onto a wiki list someplace and pick things that fit as well.

I always saw 3 as average and 4 above average.
Then again those numbers don't really mean much, for me it just shows how much better they are with one of their own skills compared to another. For example, my high flyer will, of course, have a lot of agility but not to much strength while my powerhouse would be the opposite.

This is actually an interesting question! I've tended to see the star rating system as follows:
One star is basically nonexistant/unskilled
Two stars is below average/rudimentary skills
Three stars is average/decently capable
Four stars is above average/highly skilled
Five stars is top notch/core capability

Then again, I usually only check the stars out to get a general idea of the difficulty level of a character. Strength is something that I compare star-to-star sometimes to evaluate which character would be stronger, but other than that, they don't really mean much more than a general idea of the opponent's style, strengths and weaknesses to me.

Oh, and welcome to Hungrybear!

Welcome to AFW. Smile Everyone else seems to be giving you pretty darn good advice so far, so I don't really have anything to add, but I'll be happy to help you in the future whenever you need it!
