The town of Avondale was a peaceful place that relatively kept to itself. It was famous for its red apples that grew indigenously here. Taking a breath against the glassy, perfect texture of the crimson red apple, Victoria the black knight took a crunchy bite with a groan of satisfaction. Tossing the apple into the air as she walked in the town's center market which was littered with the unconscious bodies of the village guards who thought they could turn her in for her bounty. The fools just didn't know their place but, they would know now. She began to chew the apple making crunches as she really was enjoying these apples. As she walked across the square clearing as the crowd watched in petrified silence, a body began to stir. A girl with red hair who appeared to be eighteen, clad in leather armor whimpered as she was on her knees trying to pick up the sword to defend herself only to find Victoria's foot pinning it to the ground. Her eyes widened with fear as Victoria grabbed by the girl's beautiful red hair, getting her to her feet. The girl cried and shivered in pain and fear as she was forced to looked into Victoria's yellow eyes as the black armor clad girl smiled with the juices of the apple dripping from the corners of her mouth.

"No please!" The girl begged, "Please let me go!"

Victoria smirked as she would lift the defenseless girl up by her hair and slam her helpless body to the ground. The black knight would snicker as the guard girl screamed as the air was knocked out of her chest by the hard impact. The black knight then placed her foot between the girl's breasts and pressed down with her weight as the guard girl began screaming with pain. Taking another bite of the apple and swallowing it, she turned to the crowd.

"Hah, were these the best fighters you had?" Victoria said, "If your fighters were half as good as your apples then maybe... I would've had a chance to use my sword..."

Looking out into the crowd, they stood their like cowardly sheep. Her challenge was left unanswered and the people were even too afraid to help the poor girl that was screaming in pain under her foot.

"Ridiculous..." Victoria would say under her breath kicking the girl's body away from her as it rolled out into the crowd. "You guys are a waste of my time..."

Victoria would turn around and begin to walk away from the town market square as she picked up a sack of apples as she flung it over her shoulder. She would hum a song to herself as she would stop as she thought she heard something.

A Duel in the Town Square A908dfecee7d6c5b0d0375878907ce9c04ff9d07.jpg?395942

Finding herself traveling from town to town as she has been ever since the incident that occured in her own town, Trisha Birkin was stopped in Avondale for what she was planning to be up to a month. She heard of the town's peaceful atmosphere, and that was something that she's missed for quite some time. It's been a couple of days since she moved there and she was in the lobby of the local inn, talking with one of the citizens of the town. The conversation wasn't of any great importance, but it was quite the calming one.

Trisha felt as if she had finally found a place where she could just relax. This was something she didn't even get in her own town before it went to hell. The focus was always on training, and while she would never give that away for anything, it would have been nice to live a normal life like it looked like the people of this town was living. Everything seemed all too good, and from what she heard next it was clear that that was exactly the case.

Hearing screaming and fighting coming from down in the market square, Trisha would immediately leave the inn, saying her goodbyes to the woman she was talking to as she would quickly hurry to the source of the commotion. Seeing the big crowd, she would make her way through until she would see the girl on the ground in pain, and a woman in black armor walking away.

"You! What is the meaning of this?" Trisha would yell out, stepping forward, her sword still sheathed by her side as she did, taking a quick look around at all the unconscious guards sprawled out on the ground. "Did you do this??"

Victoria stopped in her tracks, she tilted her head to the side her left yellow eye looking back at Trisha. The black armor clad girl turned her head back as she laughed at the appearance of this new challenger. The girl really wanted to get herself home so she could savor each bite of these apples. However, by the look of things, the girl who had stepped fourth sword drawn in hand things weren't going to be that way. The snow blonde swordsman turned around to face her as a gust of wind grazed her cheek, looking at Trisha with a cold grin and an eerie colder smile. Tilting her head, the black armor clad knight stepped forward and would stop until there was 5 feet between them. The armor was pretty standard she was wearing but, the sword-. She glanced at Trisha's sword examining it from pummel to tip. It certainly wasn't your standard make and it wasn't forged by your average blacksmith either. Victoria couldn't help but, think this girl was some traveler who had money on her hands and thought buying a pretty sword with a lot of gold could protect her.

"And what if I did?" Victoria said non-nonchalantly, "Whatever do you think you're going to do with that sword. Do you even know how to use it? A pretty girl like you should put swords like that down before they hurt themselves."

The Black knight would turn face and begin to walk away as she was bored of fighting peasants. She was saddened by the fact she thought the girl that called her out was a real warrior.

Trisha would hold her sword in ready as she saw Victoria turn to face her. She couldn't lie, the expression the black knight was showing her would send a chill down her spine. She had quite the air to her that made the atmosphere thicker than ever. It almost seemed like she was corrupting her surroundings. However, that wasn't making Trisha back off. She would watch as Victoria would approach her, standing 5 feet from her. As intimidating as the atmosphere was, Trisha wasn't going to let the girl ruin the peace of the nice town that she was in and get away with it.

"..You have no idea who I am do you?" Trisha would let out at Victoria's words as she would give a deep glare to the girl. She wasn't one to take insults like that lightly and if she wasn't against taking cheap shots, she would have tried right there to cut the girl down just from those words. There was no one that would question her abilities until this girl, and she wasn't going to let that stand.

What was even more insulting though was when Victoria would turn and start to walk away, causing Trisha to grit her teeth and draw her sword up, pointing it straight at Victoria. "You will turn around now and face me or I swear I will take your head right now for what you did to these people and for the insults you've given to me."

Victoria stopped in her tracks as the other girl pointed her blade at her back. Either this girl was very brave or very stupid Victoria thought to herself but, she began to wonder if this girl really was a fighter. The notion intrigued her as she wanted to see how strong this girl was.

"Turn and face you now? or you'll decapitate me?"The girl chuckled a bit as she shook her head slowly. "You shall regret the day you pointed a blade at Victoria Caliburn The Black Knight. What shall I call you black haired girl..."

After hearing her response, she would say, "Very well... (Trisha)"((If the name was given.)) The girl turned and utilizing her gauntlet, would try and knock the tip of the blade away from her. The armor clad girl charged forward trying to send her fist into the other girl's pretty little face. This girl would learn her place as the others did.

"Let us begin...shall we?"

"That's right. I don't like killing when my opponent's back is turned, but for you I'll make an exception." Trisha would say to Victoria's words before the girl would introduce herself, asking for her name in return. "..I am Trisha Birkin...Daughter of Theresa and Nathan Birkin..Though I'm sure even someone as mindless as you would recognize those names." Trisha would say as she would narrow her eyes.

She would soon hear Victoria's response to her words before suddenly she would turn and hit her blade with her gauntlet, causing Trisha's arm to fly to the side with the blade, soon her feeling Victoria's fist collide with her face. She would let out a little grunt, stumbling back quite a bit before she would shake her head.

"Gh..You..." She would let out, charging towards her, trying to turn her sword and ram the edge of it's handle into Victoria's gut, following with trying to slash her sword at the girl's legs.

Victoria did hear those names before, she was slightly impressed but, none the less attacked her. She grinned as her punch connected but, was surprised that Trisha was able to withstand her attack and even more surprised she was able to counterattack. The girl groaned as Trisha's sword handle had clashed against her body armor but, the girl possessed some strength. This caused the dark knight to stumble back a little as she clenched her stomach with one hand even with the armor, the force of the blow was still transmitted to her. Stepping back quickly, Victoria barely avoided her opponent's blade as it had nearly cut her bare thigh.

"Hmpf... finally, a challenge!" Victoria declared ass he reached to her side as she wrenched out her accursed weapon, Clarent. The blade of the long sword was 48" long and forged of an odd black mineral with red circular symbols across its beautiful but, deadly blade. Running towards her opponent, she would rotate herself with a balls of her feet swinging down at her foe with a horizontal slash to her opponent's neck!

Connnecting with the shot with the sword handle onto the girl's body, Trisha would be more than pleased to see that Victoria could still feel the force of her hit even through her armor. That wasn't it though, she was ready to follow up. If she could slash at the girl's legs and get deep enough to injure her, it would put her in an advantage to punish the girl. However, she just barely missed her, her blade grazing the air instead. She would click her tongue, going on the defensive as she quickly checked her face to make sure there wasn't any blood drawn from the girl's vicious punch.

Trisha would just keep her glare directed at the girl as she seemed happy with knowing that she wasn't going to be a pushover. She would be glad to have proved herself, but to someone like Victoria she didn't really care for impressing her. She would see Victoria draw out her blade, the black and red design giving it quite the deadly air. Narrowing her eyes more, ther would suddenly widen as Victoria would slash out at her,Trisha would quickly take a short step back, launching herself forward immediately after, looking to slash at the girl's chest, hoping her sword could contest with the girl's black armor.

Victoria grunted as her swing met nothing but air, her opponent was quicker than she anticipated. As Trisha slashed at her chest, her sword managed to create a scratch across chest plate. The blonde girl would then back away and put on a more serious face as she was getting schooled by her opponent. She would have to put her guard up this time, she would keep her sword between her and her opponent. Victoria would circle her opponent carefully as she would slowly grip Clarent with both her hands and try and force the two swords into a deadlock as the Black knight would try and push Trisha back trying to overwhelm her.

"Hm.." Trisha would let out as she saw the scratch she made with her sword. The girl's armor was definitely durable enough to stand her slashes. She would just have to hit her more directly or try to stab her in a spot where she was exposed or where her armor was weak..once she could somehow find that spot IF the girl even had any on her armor.

She would watch Victoria grip her sword before she would force Clarent and Alastor into a deadlock. Gritting her teeth, Trisha would try her hardest to push Victoria back, but somehow the girl was ending up forcing her back instead, Trisha having to take a step or two back. "Gh...No one..in my town could even dream of matching my strength...What are you?" She would say, trying to keep her ground as much as she could.
