Kena vs. Hina

So... I'm fighting a ninja? Kena was reading through her opponent's information again. Hina Sarutobi... there weren't many details on the person, only stating she was apparently a ninja. Kena knew some wrestlers went for that whole ninja shtick and were (hopefully anyway) just decent martial artists with a lot of their non-combat information classified for the sake of keeping their past mysterious. Or at least that was what Kena hoped. Seriously, ninja existing in the modern world holed away in some forest in secret... that kind of thing was only in manga. Though if ninja were to still exist, it'd be a real pleasure to do battle with one. She thought, giggling a little at the thought. Yes, an epic one-on-one match with a deadly shadow warrior, it'd be like something in the martial art movies she had. "And getting to crush such a mighty foe under my hell would be nice too." She said to herself, smirking at the thought.

Once she finished reading the last of the info she needed, her theme music began to play and Kena walked out of the locker room. Kena had the same attire as her last match, a black kimono with her sports bra and shorts underneath. And also like last time the crowd really reacted to her entrance. Mostly catcalls and whistles, but hey, it was something. Once she reached the ring, she removed her kimono and sandals before sliding inside. Hopefully this Hina was tough, probably not as tough as Maddie was, but this also another Friction fighter, so who knew.

Hina prepared for her match with some light meditation as she sat on a bench in the locker room. She removed her shin and forearm armor before hand and had her mask pulled up over her face. Not knowing much about her opponent and this being her first match, Hina had her luck bell tied to the end of her long braid.

Sometime later she was called to enter the ring and Hina rose to her feet and made her way to the ring. Hina didn't have her entrance music play as she wanted to listen to her bell. Despite being one bell, it made a unique sound and was loud enough to silence the AFW fans as if the bell's tone left them wanting more. The bell jingled once more before Hina stepped out onto the ramp. She calmly walked toward the ring and the way she walked made her braid swing side to side causing her bell to ring at an even beat. Hina walked up the steel steps and into the ring as she removed her bell and placed it on the steps. Eyeing her opponent, she sized her up in her mind and bowed to her. After doing so she got into position and into her signature fighting stance as she waited for the bell to ring.

It wasn't long before her opponent step out, though it wasn't a change in music that got Kena's attention. No, it was the chiming of the bell around her giant braid. Kena found herself staring staring at it. That was a very large bell for a hair accessory, and the sound it made had entranced her. Hina's outfit also captivated her. She really did look like a traditional ninja. Wow... if I didn't know any better, I'd swear that was an actual ninja. The costume's a little pandering for my taste, but... well, this will be an interesting fight.

As her opponent came up to the ring and bowed, Kena bowed in return. This girl didn't seem to be one for words or greetings, so Kena promptly got into her fighting stance as well and waited for the bell. Wow... even silent like a real ninja. I wonder how she fights. After a few seconds longer, the bell rang and the fight was off. Kena didn't waste anytime, quickly closing the distance between the two and going for a quick jab to Hina's face.

Hina watched Kena go for a jab and stepped to the outside of her punch and gauged the length of her arm as she pulled it back. Stepping forward into Kena's reach, Hina lowered her form and launch an open palm strike to her chest.

Kena's punch just barely missed it mark, Hina practically predicting where and how to dodge before nailing her with a palm strike to the chest. "Guh!" Kena staggered back slightly, surprised back the sudden counter attack. That wasn't luck, this girl was trained. Luckily that blow didn't do much damage. Alright... For now Kena would continue to test the waters and see what her opponent could do. She could take a few counter hits for now. Raising her right arm up, Kena swiftly brought it down for a chop to the Hina's head.

Hina watched Kena's reaction after her palm strike landed and knew that it didn't do much. Watching Kena raise her arm for a chop, Hina stood her ground and copied Kena as she too went for a chop to her opponent's head. Hina wouldn't try to dodge this move as she wanted to have a test of strength with this woman.

Feeling Kena's hand chop the top of her head, she reeled back a step and forced herself to shake off the pain.

Kena gave a small grunt of pain as Hina matched her chop with one of her own. The strike to the head hurt a bit, but she could shake it off. It looked like Hina was trying gauge Kena's strength as well from the looks of things. It seemed deliberate when she took Kena's chop. "Hm..." Alright Sarutobi-san, I think I know what you're trying to do now. If she wanted to test Kena's abilities she was more than welcomed to try. If she had to guess, Hina probably wanted to make sure her Kawaii opponent wasn't too weak to go all out against.

Kena took a few steps back, getting back into her fighting stance. Okay, she has training, this is will be a battle to see who's trained harder. She gave a smirk, then beckoned Hina to come over to her and attack her. "If you wish to test my mettle Sarutobi-san, then by all means attack me." She offered. "Just prepare yourself for a bit a of pain as we continue to battle."

Hina listened to her opponent's words and closed her fists as changed her stance. "I wouldn't have a chance of winning if I never attack. Also there won't be anymore testing. Such hesitation could lead to my own defeat."

With that being said quickly moved forward and shot her hands forward for a double palm strike to Kena's chest and followed up with a delayed axe kick as she pulled her arms back and lowered her head. If Kena dodged the kick as it came up, Hina would hold her leg above her head for a bit before bringing it straight down for a second kick. Hina movements was similar to 'quick step' as she lead with her hips and by keeping her legs in front of her she could attack continuously.

It was a surprise to actually hear Hina speak. Kena figured the girl would remain silent throughout the fight. So you were testing me. She thought. "I see..." Given the shift in Hina's stance, it seemed she was ready to get serious now. Kena brought her guard up as she waited for her opponent's next move.

As fast as Hina was, Kena was ready for the double palm strike, easily deflecting the ninja's arms aside. The kick, however, she did not see coming. "Ah!" The blow landed, striking Kena's chin and making her stagger back a few steps. Thankfully she was far enough back that she didn't get kicked again as Hina brought her foot down. "Gh..." Despite Kena's steps back, there wasn't much change in the distance between them. Quick step... That's a karate technique, right? Looks like this fight got a lot more interesting.

Alright then... Time to go on the offensive. "Hah!" Kena twisted her body around, swinging her leg at the girl for a round to Hina's side.

Hina stopped her assualtrifle after Kena staggered back from her kick. Since her second kick missed, Hina stood her ground. Normally should would have advanced and kept on the pressure, but her opponent was too fresh to be beaten down so easily.

Watching Kena spin around, Hina prepared for any spinning attack and watched as Kena's leg came for her side. She could have countered this kick in some way, but she wanted to control her opponent.

She moved into her kick to cut off some of its momentum at the sacrifice of taking the rest of the kickhead on. Feeling the pain in her ribs, Hina quickly wrapped her arms around the imposing leg. From there she would try to twist under Kena's leg for a Dragon screw and flip her onto her stomach.
