Catch Your Breath

Ace had to admit, that was a good question. What was next for her career? The Entropy belt seemed out of her reach...but if she was honest, she wasn't sure she even wanted a shot at it, even if Alaina and Julia won it. It felt...almost beneath her. Like she should be going after bigger and better things. It was an odd feeling.

"Yeah...this was fun, but I'm ready for some food, a warm bath, and a soft bed. Maybe we'll meet up in a few days or something?"

She suggested, avoiding looking Alaina in the eye. She had been extra rough on the Amazon at the end of that spar, and she wasn't entirely sure why. Anger that she made her Doll bleed, or jealousy over Alaina's career moving forward while her own had stalled. It was a lot to ponder, but for now, she just felt embarrassed over her actions.

It looked like no one wanted to head out shopping or for lunch. "Oh, all right. I will see you guys later!" Alaina said as the others left to get changed and go. Alaina lingered in the ring a bit, going over what she did wrong and how to make a few corrections. Ace literally ran circles around her, setting up moves so quickly that Alaina didn't even register what the hell happened until after it was done. Ace improved, and it was clear that she was on the rise. This didn't shock Alaina in any way.... it was just the perceived gap that did, as its not like Alaina didn't train non-stop all the time.

Back to the drawing board. Today was one of those days where Alaina would head back to the dojo and put in a bit of overtime.
