Final Confrontation

Matt was hot on Selene's heels once again. "Smash Mouth?" Matt repeated with disdain. "They suck!" Once Selene rounded the corner Matt intended to follow her that way. If he kept this up he may very well catch her. Then to his surprise suddenly her arm shot out. At the last second he dropped down, and did a slide on his knees across the floor, right underneath her clothesline. After a brief, and in his opinion awesome, slide, he jumped back to his feet, and turned to meet Selene with a glare.

Selene's mouth twisted into a shocked snarl at Matt's sudden dodge, but only a beat later she pursed her lips and threw her hands out as though she were throwing a tantrum, fuming "Well first they're THE shirt and then they suck! Can't you make up your mind?!"

For another beat, she crossed her arms and pouted, but about then the urgency of the situation dawned on her: Matt now stood between her and her quickest route to the rooftops. Her childish pout gave way to the fierce glare of a cornered lioness as she swiftly lifted her leg up just to kick her heel against the ground... throwing her high heel shoe off her foot and up in the air with unusual force, up to Selene's waiting hand, snatching it and raising it up, aiming to use the pointed heel as a weapon. "HAH!" She shouted, half in surprised that she caught that and half brought about by the adrenalin rush. "Enough dashing about! You want to tango with me again? Is that it?!" She shouted, her outward posturing disguising her inner calculating ways to at least get by and around Matt. The roof access door, and her escape, was down at the far end of the hall.

Matt's inner music lover was screaming with each incorrect statement Selene made. The fact that Selene didn't know what band she defaced made the act all the worse. "Are you completely ignorant, or just stupid?" he snarled.

He gave a surprised and somewhat impressed look as Selene managed to kick her shoe up and effectively turn it into a handheld weapon. Weapon were not something he took into consideration when he came here. "Oh, did you figure that out, missy?" he said disdainfully when asked what he wanted.. "Man, don't let anyone insult your intelligence! You're just a fountain of brain power!" He was just stalling now, trying to figure out what to do if Selene should put that weapon into effect.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" She shouted sarcastically, "I'm so stupid for not memorizing Daft Pumpkins or whatever crap you brand yourself with, and you're such a genius for wearing your good clothes TO THE SHOWERS IN A WRESTLING COMPOUND."

"You are an asshole, Mr. Floyd. How many times do I have to beat you down to get you to quit STALKING ME?!" She shouted, punctuating her final outburst with a lunge forward to strike at Matt's face with the shoe. She wasn't really aiming to nail him so much as to drive him back, or, the best outcome, have him try to struggle against her for the weapon so she could circle around him.

"Oh, well EXCUSE ME!!!" Matt retorted loudly. "I guess it didn't cross my mind that a spoiled brat of woman would steal it, then WRITE on it! How very stupid of me!" His intended talk with Selene was quickly escalating into a schoolyard fight between the two of them.

His eyes widened when Selene suddenly came at him, looking to do some damage with that shoe of hers. Fortunately he was ready, and caught her arm before she could hit him, and now struggled against her for contol of it. "Oh please, flater yourself a bit more, why don't cha?"

Selene grunted as Matt caught her arm, quickly trying to bring her free arm to bear against Matt's. "Psh... Like you really only happened to be... at the showers when I was there... by accident!" She spoke through grit teeth. Her mind wasn't quite on what she was saying, hence the patent absurdity of her accusation (In all honesty, she had stalked him a great deal more than he had her...). Her mind was more interested in trying to twist Matt off his feet, slam him into the wall, or at least get him out of her way... "Or that I was the first person you sought out charging in here like a lunatic!"

"YOU pulled ME into the shower!!" he shouted right back, struggling against Selene to keep her from doing damage with that high-heeled weapon. "And I'm sorry if I don't take abject humiliation lying down! I guess I'm just stubborn that way!" In an unexpected movement Selene would sucessfully knock Matt backwards into a wll, where he would slam against with a grunt.

As Matt slammed into the wall, the jolt would cause Selene to lose her grip on her heel, sending it falling to the floor. Barely noticing, she would hiss, "You talk as if you didn't start this with brutalizing and humiliating ME!" Selene would try to wrench her arms free of Matt's grasp only to try to slap him across the face.

Half expecting to fail, she was prepared to knee him in the stomach should he catch her hand.

"You mean when I won the match?" Matt asked disdainfully through clenched teeth. "So sorry! I didn't realize I was breaking the rules there!" Seeing the slap coming Matt quickly used hiss free arm to catch it. Unfortunately he was unable to stop the knee to his gut, releasing Selene and doubling over with a pained grunt.

"Oh, is THAT what you call abusing me well after I submit?" She scoffed, pulling her hand away, and watching Matt's pain with a small amount of satisfaction. Even though she was caught up in the moment, and even though she emerged victorious from their last confrontation, Selene was still innately wary of Matt. Her first loss to him was something that still rung with her and she did not want to risk a reenactment of that. She'd never show it, but she was definitely afraid of Matt.

Which is why she jeopardized her rooftop trap ploy by backing away now, when she seemed to have the upper hand. Using her bare foot to pull off her other heel, Selene folded her arms, "That said, I'm already tired of this little slap fight. Go bother someone else." She'd wave softly at Matt and quickly try to retreat behind her, back to the staircase to the roof.
