Julia Knight vs Starlight

"I know I am that's kinda what the match asks me to do." Julia said like it was the simplest thing in the world. As she pounded her gloves she began thinking of something to do next. Tabitha would likely be more weary a second time around and trying to wait for her to attack instead so she could counter. Maybe she could use that to her advantage?

Regardless she was up and in the moment the bell rang and tried to send light jabs at Tabitha to keep her at a distance while maintaining the image that she was out to keep control. From there she would eventually faint a jab and go for a right hook instead.

"Good, at least you will go down swinging then.. wont you?" Starlight had seen the aggression of her opponent in the first round and would try to stay on the defensive hoping that Julia would overcommit. Seeing how she had opened up the round, Starlight felt like she had seen this pattern before. The last time Julia did this, she went to the body and now Starlight knew that the hook would come after a setup jab.

The jabs were seemingly only to set up the bigger punch after it so Starlight would attempt to simply take them in stride and wait for the bigger punch that followed it. When Julia loaded up for the hook, Starlight knew this was her chance to sidestep it and hopefully get off a kick to the opened area as the punch sailed by her. This was going to be a matter of timing it seemed and Starlight would need to be very precise lest her kick to the body leave her open as well to any manner of counter that Julia may manage to send back her way.

"What and you wont? Who wants to go down just taking it?" Julia said, not letting her words affect her negatively. Her mind focused on getting back into the attack as she moved in with the bell sending out jabs to keep Tabitha at bay before going in for her right hook...that hit nothing but air.

Though Tabitha got something as she nailed her gut with a solid kick that bent Julia up. "Auuff!" she groaned as she took a few steps back with her gloves up and ready trying to make sure that she wasn't going to get hit by something else right off the bat.

"Hmm, you would be surprised.." Starlight would quip when Julia mentioned those who would simply just take it and like it instead of fighting to the bitter end like both Starlight and Julia seemed to be wanting to do. Starlight would be able to land her attack and send Julia back a bit. This was going to have to be the way things went as if Starlight were to try to match Julia's aggression there was a very high chance that she would get caught and it was too much of a risk against too little reward.

For now, Starlight wanted to keep Julia at bay and try to frustrate her to the point that she would make a mistake. Not wanting to try to swarm Julia just yet, Starlight wanted to simply keep trying to use her kicks aimed at Julia's body to get her back to the ropes if at all possible. Keeping Julia at range for the time being would allow her to stew a little on the idea that she could not get close enough to launch an offensive against Starlight for the time being.

Julia wasn't sure what Tabitha meant by that but there was no reason in her mind to ask her to elaborate. She just wanted To get back into action as the two started to get in close and fight to the finish. As Julia got in close she was surpised with a kick to the body that backed her up, on the retreat to avoid any trouble.

Trying to avoid the kicks Jukia needed a bit more time to get back in it as she tried to block Tabitha's kick with her arm and send a kick of her own to her legs to get her to stop and back her up as well.

Starlight was caught by surprise somewhat as Julia would still have the will to fight back after being tagged. Looking to move in now that she seemed to have Julia backing up, Starlight would keep at it with body kicks. Julia however seemed to be a quick to find a way around this as she attacked Starlight's planted leg while catching her own kick meant for Julia.

"Interesting.. I figured you for more of a boxer than kickboxer." Starlight paying a compliment to Julia as she seemed to find a way to go back on the offensive. Starlight was goingto need to do more than just use a few basic kicks if she was going to get anywhere with Julia it would seem. Absorbing the kick as Starlight really had no other choice, she would attempt to fire back by almost leaping forward and trying to land a straight punch at Julia's head. The hope being that Julia might not quite find her balance after throwing the kick and Starlight needed to test her right then and there.

"I am but I'm crafty and quick to think of new ideas."Julia said as she acknowledged Tabitha's compliment but wanting to get right back on the attack. Maybe now that she had shown that side maybe Tabitha would be trying to think of different moves to do when suddenly the girl leaped a her with a punched aimed for her head.

Julia didn't have the time to properly prepare for this one and as she tried to put her glove up to intercept it she was instead forced to take the punch head on and stumble backwards. Her head rocked form the blow hr gloves remained up and ready to to try and defend her as she remained dazed.

Starlight would see that she landed a pretty clean shot on Julia and wanted to try to follow up. With having to land from her leap along with Julia backing away it would take Starlight a moment before she could follow up. With Julia seemingly looking to defend her head, it would allow Starlight to try to move in close and attempt to force Julia to the ropes. It was more an attempt to smother Julia like a blanket and give her nowhere to go than an attempt to do damage.

If Starlight could get herself in close, the idea was to start letting loose with close range body blows while almost leaning into Julia along the ropes. It was not likely that Julia would employ a strategy like Starlight did in the first round by intentionally going down to save herself some damage. Starlight would try to make sure of it by getting in very close so that she could almost prop Julia back up if she attempted to go down.

The redhead was still up but Tabitha was moving to continue her assault as she recovered with the redhead offering nothing but her gloves to defend herself as she tried to keep standing as she was pushed into and nailed with blows to the body. All while pushing her towards the ropes to keep her trapped.

"Ouugh! Auugh! Ouuf! Ouuk!" Julia moaned as her belly was pounded by the close attacks and she was backed up. She didn't want to go down but right now she was too close to do anything. Her only defense ended being for her to try and lower herself so that her belly wouldn't be so easy to strike.

"Keep singing Julia.." Starlight would remark as she could hear the repeated grunts as her attacks would find their mark from time to time. Seeing that Julia was starting to lean over, Starlight would realize that her target area would be almost impossible to hit now. With no real way to attempt to capitalize on the present position, Starlight would try to back herself off so that she could try to change levels with her attack and try to land a big kick aimed toward Julia's head.

With any luck Starlight could end up sending Julia down. Though with the risk of relenting in her attack it could come with great reward when the kick landed. There was a chance of course that Starlight was simply underestimating her opponent and would leave herself open by trying such a big move. If Julia had her senses about her still, it was very possible that she could react in time while Starlight backed off to line up the kick.
