Strategy: Nami is among one of the more dangerous foes one could face within the ring, not because she is inherently skilled or powerful, but because she is unpredictable. Lacking real training, armed with no plan of attack, every match might as well be completely different. Driven by gut instinct and reactions alone, she usurps expectations most of her opponents may have when face to face with her. By all accounts, she shouldn't be here. Her lack of understanding many of the in ring practices coupled with the fact her style is self developed makes her a massive wildcard facing fellow rookies and veterans alike. She won't do what she should do, she will do what feels right, which often has her adversaries playing catch up to her antics.

Signature Moves:

Heavenly Dragon Upper: Nami dashes in to close a short distance, ducking down low as she reaches an opponent. She will then kick off the ground, carrying herself forward and up, trying to catch her opponent under the chin with a massive jumping uppercut to knock them clean off their feet in a fantastic display.

Mighty Soaring Avalanche: From a standing or running state, Nami with forward flip at her opponent to build momentum before aiming to strike them to the canvas with a spinning axe handle smash.

Volcanic Draft Kicks: Nami performs a quick set of alternating high kicks before jumping into the air to finish with with a tornado roundhouse kick.
- Rising Volcanic Draft Kicks: Rather than performing the move while standing, jumps at her opponent to fire off two quick upward kicks, finishing it off with a drop kick.

E-3B (Explosive Big Booty Bump): A simple flying hip attack.

Hyakuretsu Binta: Grabbing hold of an opponents attire or shoulder, Nami will unleash a quick barrage of face slaps and backhands.

Hyper-Dimension Exploder Kick: Nami will run up the turnbuckles or springboard off the ropes before delivering a flying straight kick towards her opponent.

Personality:

With her head buried deep in the clouds and a mind brimming to burst with imagination, Nami can almost always be caught daydreaming when left to her own devices. A well meaning kind girl that is perhaps a smidge too naive for her own good. Her empathetic nature lends itself well to supporting family, friends, and even strangers, jumping in to lend her support in any way she can. Always ready with random fun facts, puns, or cheesy jokes she read somewhere once, she makes for fun and lighthearted company if one can handle her slightly air headed nature. She isn't without her quirks however with a tendency to be a bit forgetful. Names are especially difficult for her to recall unless she has encountered a person multiple times or has linked them mentally with an event of importance to her personally. She gets lost easily, in small venues as well as out in the world. She swears by GPS technology to get her anyplace outside of her home town, the only place she knows well. One of the only things she seems to almost always remember are things that visually impress her.

While her street smarts may be lacking, she has a natural talent when it comes to physical activity be it in sports or competitive combat oriented fields. Nami is an incredibly quick study, often times nailing down the core fundamentals of a technique then developing the rest herself to suit her own body and style. Attempts at long and vigorous training tend to fall flat with her, having only taken a few actual forms of martial arts only to come away with only the basic level of mastery. Rigid structures and formats don't pair well with her creative mind, so she they will rarely keep her attention for long unless presented in a way that catches her imagination perfectly.

On her own, be it cleaning her apartment or fighting in the ring, she is not terribly efficient at completing tasks in an optimal way. Left to her own devices, she can be distracted by her own mind, or simply go out of her way to present herself in a much cooler way for people who may be watching. That lack of winning killer instinct is an incredibly huge detriment in the ring, but it don't really slow her down thanks to how versatile she can be. She is a natural follower, performing with the most precision when paired with someone who knows her capabilities well.  With an ally at her back for support or direction, her talent shines, making her a force to be reckoned with.

Past/History: Nami was a quiet girl most of her life. Content to keep to herself, in her own little world. Her imagination was all she ever needed, an endless source of entertainment at her disposal. It found her often outcast as she grew up, still playing with toys when most of her peers had grown out of it. Always a step behind the trend as it came to social culture for her age group, her lack of development carried into her schooling as well. A sub par student, her grades in primary subjects barely squeaked in to passing while her alternate studies in specialty fields such as physical fitness, art, and music thrived. This was a trend that followed her all the way up into high school.

Nami didn't have very many traditional friends growing up. She was the type of girl who liked to help out, make other laugh, or go out of her way to impress her peers. This often times had her mistaking what she thought was genuine friendship for people simply looking to exploit her for their own amusement. Hinoka was one of this girls. Relatively popular, she treated Nami's presence as a bit of a novelty pet. Asking the girl to fetch her things or do mundane tasks with the promises of hanging out or invites to parties that would never come. It was frequent that Hinoka's clique would pass their blame onto Nami, who gladly sacrificed herself to disciplinary measures to save her "friends" from getting caught. All of this culminated one winter day, when Hinoka goaded Nami to pick a fight with one of the upperclassmen. As she always did, Nami complied and was handily dispatched by the older, larger girl. Before the beatdown could continue however, another girl stepped in to finish the fight and take out the larger girl assaulting Nami.

The show of bravery, skill, and overwhelming presence she witnessed that day saw Nami become obsessed with finding out more about her savior. It didn't take long to get the name Natsuko Arisawa, as there were several other classmates who had similar experiences. In her eyes the perfect mix of charisma and physicality, this girl had become her new benchmark of what to aspire for. Desperately wanting to get to know her better, but sharing none of the same classes due to the one grade difference between them, she hatched up another way. Sports! Specifically the schools track and field team. Lacking the courage to approach her, it wasn't until Natsuko came to her that they finally got a chance to talk. The two became fast friends in no time.

Being part of a team in a competitive environment pushed Nami to be more than her limited view of herself. With Natsuko and her other teammates cheering her on, she never felt more alive. She branched out into other fields as well, becoming one of the school's lead forward ends in the football(soccer) team and joining up in a roller derby league outside of school in which she still competes in. Team guidelines in sporting fields required her to keep a certain grade point average, giving her the proper motivation to finally work on her studies a bit more. her overall quality of life increased tremendously over the year to what some would consider a healthy middle ground she had so desperately needed. She still maintains it was all due to Natsuko's influence, regardless of how many times her friend refuses to take credit for it.

It was a conflicting time when Natsuko graduated. Overjoyed her friend was finally able to pursue more grandiose goal, but sad to see her go. The two made sure that it wouldn't come between their friendship though, staying on contact regardless no longer walking the same halls. Perhaps her friends biggest fan, and personal cheerleader, even despite of Natsuko's less than impressive showing in Tension. While her friend was carving out a dream in AFW, Nami was preparing to do the same. A year later, finally out of school, she would head off after her friend. Chasing a dream that they would one day become two of the biggest names in the company, and have a headline match against one another.


Fun Facts:

Derby Dynamo: Prior to joining the AFW, Nami got most of her hard contact kicks not from training or sparring to improve, but being part of a roller derby league. The perfect blend of speed and physicality, it toughed her up a great deal and developed one hell of a charging elbow strike to go along with it. She takes naturally to use of skates in their many forms, and would no doubt perform well when fighting on or in slippery surfaces.

Now I've Got Your Power!: Nami shamelessly makes use of several other wrestler's signature moves and finishers if she thinks they are cool. In the case of more complex moves, she will attempt to mimic them to the best of her ability. She will normally add her own flare to the moves, making them more accessible to her height and weight.

Endangered Species: She is hopelessly addicted to Hello Panda biscuits. While she enjoys all of the sorted flavors, by far her favorite is the original chocolate filled ones. She one day dreams of having a sponsorship deal with Meiji so she can have a lifetime supply of her favorite treat.

Too Spooked: If she can't see it, feel it, or understand it, chances are it freaks her out. While she is fascinated with the idea of ghosts, aliens, and any number of crackpot strange sightings its the sort of thing she looks at while hiding her head and peeking out from behind cover. Her wild imagination tends to blow things with no logical explanation out of proportion. Scary movies really get to her, almost always making her jump or catching her by surprised. She like to think if she was in the place of one of the protagonists in those movies, she wouldn't be so frightened, which may be true. if she could reach out and punch the killer or zombie, it wouldn't be half as unnerving as watch people bumbling around helplessly. Wrestlers sporting supernatural gimmicks can mess with her, assuming they do so extremely well.

Emotional Sponge: Incredibly empathetic, she is very susceptible to changes in her mood depending on the atmosphere of the person or people around her. She will normally always keep her upbeat attitude, it can be a struggle when the mood is somber however. She gets worked up easily, be it excited due to audience hype or anger when someone vents their frustrations to her which often times will lead to an echo chamber type effect.

Two Steps Forward One Step Sideways: In her quest to follow in Natsuko's footsteps, she has tried her hand at more traditional martial arts to mixed success. She found she didn't take well to the slow and rigid nature of self improvement, finding it dreadfully boring. She was told on more than one occasion she wouldn't amount to anything with her lack of discipline. Despite having dropped out of such training, she still wears her first colored belt with her ring attire to show the world even a novice can do great things if they get creative.
