Alaina held the hammerlock but saw Isa begin to move. It wasn't as fluid as she would have liked.... but it did the trick as Alaina tried to keep the hold locked in but failed as Isa managed to work her way behind Alaina to reverse things! "Ngh... all right good job! Now get ready to think fast!"

Alaina said that and just as quickly reached behind her to grab hold of Isa's hair and snapmare her down in front of the amazon! Alaina waste no time in kneeling behind a seated Isa, wedging a shin and knee up against Isa's back as she reached around with her hands to claps them around Isa's chin to begin pulling back! Alaina again focused on a secure hold as opposed to a pressure filled one. "Ok Isa same deal as before! Escape, reverse, counter whatever ya have to do to get out!"

Training An Angel - Page 2 Empty Re: Training An Angel

For a moment, Isa felt quite proud of herself. It wasn't exactly every day that she managed to escape a hold like hammerlock, but she had to admit that it was quite easy and simple, now that she got it. And Alaina seemed happy too...

But only for a moment. Alaina urged Isa to think fast - but before she could really think of anything yet, her coach had already thrown her down with a Snapmare! The move left the blonde stunned for a moment, just enough for Alaina to perfectly lock up her next hold on the Angel.

And boy was Isa glad that she wasn't going full on with the pressure. The move clearly had the potential to be a painful one, and left Isa's best assets, her legs, completely useless for escape efforts. It was obvious that she had to use her arms or hands somehow - but how?

It was quite a simple move really, and the blonde felt a bit embarrassed of being somewhat at a loss of ideas. Should she just try to punch Alaina's arms? That was not really nice...but her coach had said "whatever it takes"! So the blonde decided to start driving her fists to the Amazon's arms...

"Arrgh.... not quite what I had in mind.... but ya listened to me at least!" Alaina said through her grit teeth as she did her best to keep the hold secure. The punches did hurt and Alaina's grip was weakening, however she had managed to maintain it. With a less secure grip however Isa would have more room to maneuver and work around the hold. Alaina hoped she could think of a way out, be create, keep using brute force.... any effective means of escape was a viable option. Sometimes if something works it isn't wrong no matter how unorthodox it may be!

Training An Angel - Page 2 Empty Re: Training An Angel

Post by Jaystar Sun Dec 16, 2018 9:58 am

Isa might have chosen a rather unconventional strategy, but it was the only one she could think of at the moment. She was sure that there was some textbook counter, textbook escape out of this one that she just couldn't yet come up with, and Alaina's comments seemed to confirm that belief. Luckily, as her hold was not applying too much pressure, Isa still managed to reply her, even apologizing a little for her odd performance! "Oh, sorry..."

But the blonde's dilemma was still there. The Angel had gotten a little more room to move with her punches, but she still hadn't escaped the hold. So, if targeting Alaina's arms hadn't worked well enough, maybe targeting her leg would? With that thought, Isa decided to try twisting her arm behind her back, trying to grab hold of the Amazon's leg pressing against it, and yank the leg to the side to relase the pressure against her back to hopefully render the chinlock hold ineffective!

"Don't apologize... keeping me off guard and surprised is what will win you matches!" Alaina said as Isa began to work another route. As Alaina's leg was moved away she lost her counter point and the hold was essentially dead in the water. Alaina let go and stood up, backing off and standing ready to grapple. She would let Isa initiate the next course of action. Now Alaina had to react. Would Isa grapple, come in with a strike or something else? The amazon was eager to see what Isa was going to try and she would try to avoid what was coming although if Isa moved fluidly and with purpose it would make working a counter against the action a whole lot harder!

Isa had felt slightly embarrassed by taking an unconventional route and apologized, which in turn caused her to get slightly more embarrassed as her coach began reassuring her that there was nothing to be sorry about! Even though Alaina was being her mentor, the blonde certainly wanted to avoid unnecessarily showing any insecurity she might have had. Besides, a veteran such as Alaina could have probably sensed any insecurity anyway...

And this time, Isa's escape attempt actually worked! Yanking the leg aside provided the desired result, and provided the blonde the opportunity to get back up again! However, only to find out that this time it was the trainee who was expected to make the first move...

Alaina certainly knew where Isa needed still development. This was one of those classic situations - being faced off against a strong opponent, needing to somehow get her to the ground - a situation where Isa still felt insecure in. She knew the double leg takedown and had certainly used it earlier, but the blonde felt like it would have been way too predictable for Alaina at this point. Honestly, it felt like nothing could surprise the Amazon... But maybe the blonde could get a little sneaky!

With that thought, Isa began charging towards Alaina... But she actually tried to just run past her, then bounce off the ropes towards her again, and try to use her momentum to see if she could down her coach with a Spear!

Alaina was ready, or so she thought. Alaina moved to the side as Isa ran past but as Isa rocketed back off the ropes the amazon was caught full force by the spear! She groaned and coughed as she crashed to the mat, Isa's size as well as power adding to the force of the spear! Alaina kicked the mat and tried to shove Isa off of her but the damage had been done. Isa was showing her potential and Alaina was excited about that. However, she couldn't let herself get beat down and be a punching bag if Isa was going to learn.

However, given the pain she felt from the spear her options at this point were limited!

Training An Angel - Page 2 Empty Re: Training An Angel

Post by Jaystar Sun Dec 30, 2018 1:08 am

Isa had been faced with the task of attacking the Amazon, and the blonde had chosen to try playing some tricks on her coach. Luckily, her bluff clearly paid off, as Alaina had turned out to be totally unprepared for her bounce back from the ropes, resulting in the trainee's Spear sending the veteran forcefully down to the mat!

Isa had to admire her work for a few seconds... Seeing the Amazon go down like that was certainly an empowering feeling, and honestly, probably a testament to some of the power and strength her training had granted her already by now too! Talk about a nice boost to confidence...

But now that Alaina was down, Isa was sure her coach expected her to keep her down. But how? Instinctively, Isa would have wanted to just go down herself too, position her body next to Alaina and start scissoring her coach... But maybe this time, she should try something different!

Isa decided to try out a move she had used once before, against a rather small and weak Tension wrestler called Ataru. It had seemed quite effective, but the blonde wanted to find out whether that could be the case against some bigger and stronger opponents too, or whether the move had some fatal flaws in it... So, the blonde pulled Alaina on her knees with a headlock, before positioning herself in front of the Amazon's body. Then she tried to tuck the Amazon's head between her rather mighty thighs for a tight, scissoring squeeze, while pulling Alaina's arms uncomfortably behind her back, almost as if the Amazon was getting crucified!

But Isa had no idea, whether her plan would work this time or not...

Alaina felt herself pulled up and before she could react she was being yanked up, her head stuck between Isa's legs! Her arms were pulled up by Isa, but Alaina tensed her muscles, trying her best to pull back to prevent her arms from being hyper-extended!

Alaina had an idea for a way to power out but it would take time. While she struggled to breathe she would try to get her legs underneath her, hoping to stand up and lift Isa off the ground with her body, hoping to arch her back in order to send Isa crashing to the mat! The hold was good and it would be hard for Alaina to be able to pull this off without telegraphing her intent, but she did not want to be stuck in this painful hold one second longer!

Training An Angel - Page 2 Empty Re: Training An Angel

Post by Jaystar Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:49 pm

Isa was very curious to see how well this new move of hers would go down against Alaina. It had worked fabolously before against Ataru, but the Amazon was an opponent of a whole another caliber. And luckily enough, she was the blonde's coach now, providing the Angel the perfect opportunity to try it out in a low-risk environment...

The results seemed to be decent enough! Alaina seemed to be definitely struggling in the hold, and for a moment Isa actually thought she was able to fully control the Amazon! Well, until she noticed her body getting pushed up by the Amazon, that was...

As a testament to her strength, Alaina was able to power her way up, and arch her back so that Isa was eventually sent to the mat. But all that happened rather slowly, providing Isa some good time to prepare herself for the impact. As a result, the blonde was able to cushion the impact with her hands, and while her coach had now been able to free herself, after a brief roll Isa was already getting back up herself too.

Her new move appeared to be definitely decent, maybe even had potential as a submission finisher against weaker opponents. And even against stronger ones like Alaina, it seemed to be easy to cushion the fall should they have powered their way out of it... Although Isa was curious to hear whether her coach had any comments on what she had just pulled off.
