AV 18 Tag Championship - Blazing Blizzard (c) vs. Novae

With the match getting ready to start in earnest Chelsea couldn't imagine a better time to really get going starting things off with the redhead would be a nice little warm up but before she could even start the girl was coming her way. Trying to start off with a nice big hit.

Her hands were up but not really in a position to block before she was knocked back by the hit. Her legs coming out from under her and her guard dropping asshe hit her but.

Wow, that worked? Tatiana eyes widened, even as she felt the impact, even as she heard the crack of a foot landing flush on a face. Less than ten seconds into a match, and she’d knocked a champion on her butt. That was a good feeling. She just hoped it would last.

”Tat, move!”

Valerie’s advice was appreciated, but unneeded. Tatiana hit the ground running, dashing hard away from Chelsea, she ran to the ropes and bounced off, only to leap at her foe with her feet up on the return trip, attempting to hit with a low-orbit dropkick to the chest before she could stand again.

Well she was fast, that was certainly not what Chelsea was expecting. Worse she had about two seconds to comprehend what just happened as she saw the girl already running to regain momentum and run her through a second time. Coming right at her as Chelsea watched the eager rookie come to flatten her chest with a dropkick.

"Agghh!" Chelsea flopped to the mat when the kick connected, her chest feeling like it had been hit by a raging bull, or an eager one as it seemed the jitters had gone out of the women the second the bell rang.

And another hit. Right on target.

Her heart beating a mile a second, the sweat already beginning to form on her brow, Tatiana didn’t even wait for Chelsea to properly react before she was already thinking about the next move. For a moment she almost thought about going for the pin, hoping to secure a quickie victory, but she remembered the match type and the requirements that came along with it - she needed to keep this woman down and make sure she stayed down. Keep moving, keep moving, keep piling on the damage.

Tatiana rolled away and popped to her feet in a flash, but she didn’t stay there for long. Part of this match was determining who were the real high flying queens in the tag team division, and she decided now was as good a time as any to start making the case.

Her opening argument? She leaped back, tucked her legs in, and came down on Chelsea’s chest with a standing moonsault kneedrop.

The champ was not on the right foot of her first title match by any means. Being downed by the challenger and relatively new challenger st that. Chelsea wasn’t exactly someone you looked at and thought ‘oh she’ll dominate this match’ but she would have liked to show a bit more fire in the early stages of the fight. Thought that was a mistake she was now even more determined to correct.

When the redhead went for her standing moonsault attack Chelsea was all too ready to get the hell out of the way. Turning while covering her chest and letting Tat eat the mat rather then her bosom. And from there the redhead would go to her front before slowly turning to face her opponent, if all went well it was payback time.

...uh-oh.

The moonsault was a great attack. It was fast, it was flashy, it fit perfectly with Tatiana’s moveset, and it was an attack she’d used so many times that she could probably use it in her sleep. But the flipside was that the move could be telegraphed pretty easily that it would resort in her faceplanting hard if she messed it up. She thought she’d judged her foe well enough, that there wouldn’t be a big risk, but…

”Gah!” Tatiana came down hard on her chest and immediately flopped over, squirming about in pain. It wasn’t too bad on damage, but the shock of it all had really rocked her system and left her stunned. She’d need a second or two to get her head back, and she doubted Chelsea was about to give those two seconds to her.

There was no time to waste now she had to act and take her opponent down in fashion if she wanted any hope of beating her and reminding people she was the champ. Chelsea had a lot to prove her and couldn’t just win she had to win in style.

Rising up to look at her opponent who crashed and burned, and tried something similar moving towards the ropes she would spring off them and run at her downed opponent before jumping and looking to drop down on her foe with diving elbow.

Okay, yes. That sucked. Immensely. But, but, Tatiana was far from finished already. She was just winded. No big deal. All she needed was a moment or two to find her footing. She’d be fine.

And yes, Tatiana did indeed start to rise up, was well on her way to maintaining a solid base, could’ve easily pulled this all off and gotten back to her feet - if not for Chelsea. The woman recuperated a wee bit faster than she’d anticipated, a fact that Tatiana only realized as she rolled on her back and looked up to see her coming down from on high. “Uh-”

Down came the champion, crashing down right on her chest and flattening her against the canvas. She let out a croak then flopped back, hissing and groaning and not in the best headspace at the moment.

And that’s how one flies with grace. If there was any doubt she could do it too it was wheeled with that move. Especially since she felt the impact of the attack and how it shocked the cute redhead below her. Though Chelsea want content with one attack she had a lot to pay back and she figured since the match was about taking to the skies, clipping there wings might do her well.

Moving to grab one of her hands and then looking to grab a leg as well she would pull back on both while all’s using her foot to bend her foe as far back as she could. Trapping her in a bow and arrow for a few seconds.

So, this was going in a downward fashion in a hurry. A fact that Tatiana was sure to be reminded of by Valerie, multiple time, regardless of how well or poorly the match went on from here.

Admittedly, the prospects weren’t good. She was pushing up, just starting to get her wind back, when Chelsea came over and nixed her efforts, grabbing her by the legs and arms and pulling her back. The good news was that Tatiana was quite flexible, so getting put into the Bow and Arrow was something she could endure better than most wrestlers. The bad news was that the move was nigh impossible to escape from if locked in properly, and Chelsea’s application was nothing short of textbook.

Aching and hurt, Tatiana could only squirm about and twitch as the champion attempted to bend her spine in half, desperate for relief but too far from the ropes to grasp it.
