If someone made a bet with Karen that she would take her opponent and send his face directly to the floor at great speed, and after that this person would just stand up as if nothing had happened, then the girl would slap herself in the face from the madness of these words. However, the girl did not judge other people on her own. Maybe someone had a fairly solid skull, but she was an ordinary person. Therefore, the combination of pain and dizziness made her stay down almost until the end of the count. But still her mind cleared, allowing her to break the pin.

It seems there is a need to act rudely...” - she thought.

Hawk Moth has always been tough in exactly the same degree as her rivals. However, she was not going to lose, much less going to let herself be beaten. So she rolled over on all fours with the firm intention of kicking the Black Fang's ass. However, by the time the street fighter shook her head and stood on one knee, she was in for a surprise. Her rival was already on her feet and was ready to send Karen to a knockout. For a moment, the Japanese girl's eyes widened when she saw Ryoko’s leg begin to rise.

“Your problem is that you do not recognize the angle of a kick. In muay thai, you rarely do kicks above the middle of the body. However, in taekwondo kicks are always aimed at different points. Watch the angle and you will find out where the kick is aimed. Evade. And if you can’t, then block it, pain in the hands is better than a broken head, believe me”, - Karen remembered her training with her new teacher, who was much more experienced in various martial arts.

Although you don’t need to be a genius here to guess that Ryoko’s kick is aimed roughly at the head of Hawk Moth. Taking a deep breath, the girl bent her left hand at the elbow, tensed it and lifted it up. Lowering her chin, she covered with her hand all the space from the neck to the crown. And she was not mistaken, despite the fact that the kick was directed not to the head, but to the neck, she managed to create a barrier.

- Ppphhhh... - Karen exhaled painfully.

Even despite the block, this kick was very good. Her biceps and radial bone, which took most of the impulse onto themselves, were even numb because of pain. Charlotte was right, that was better than a broken head. But if you block such powerful kicks with your hands all the time, then you will probably quickly break your bones and tear your muscles. Therefore…

I'll show you something, Black Fang”, - thought Karen.

She intended to use her left hand and grab the foot of Black Fang's attacking leg. Surely it would be painful, however, if she was going to return to the game, then this pain in her hand was a small fee. The girl wanted to deprive her rival of the opportunity to escape and if she succeeded, then Karen's right hand was already ready. She used this technique in the ring only once against her first rival. But since the stakes were high, she was going to use the full potential of knowledge about pain points in the human body!

- Hawk Moth bites! - she would say.

Her right fist was half bent, and she strained the phalanges of her fingers. Karen had very balanced physical characteristics, in her opinion, but now she intended to use all her speed and strength to make five lightning strikes. Two strikes to Ryoko’s left and right shoulder joint so that she stops feeling her hands for a short time! Two strikes between the third and fourth ribs on the right and left, so that the Black Fang could feel how she was fettered by chains. And the last strike right into the solar plexus to make her lose her ability to breathe!

Well...crap. The Black Fang had thought this was going to go well. She’d never had the chance to use the Switchblade Kick in an AFW match before, but she’d employed it quite a few times in training and on the independent circuit. She’d never won with it, it was never enough to put down a foe for the three count, but it was a reliable way to pour on the pressure and set her foes up for bigger things. In particular, it was a great way to set her foes up for a future crossface crippler. Really make that neck hurt.

If it connected. Which it always did.

Until now.

”Huh?” The Black Fang’s brow raised when her kick hit something, but didn’t get that oh-so satisfying meaty THWACK that she was accustomed to. Instead, when she looked over, she saw that Hawk Moth had grabbed her leg at the ankle, stopping the cutting kick in the crib, and worst still, leaving her wide open. She tried to move away on reflex, hoping to avoid the retaliation, but she was far too late for that. Her foe was already on the attack.

Out came the strikes, fast and precise and exacting with their damage. Two crashed into her shoulder with practised ease, while another two hit her square in the ribs, and the fifth found a home in her stomach, knocking the air clean out of her body. To the naked eye, they probably didn’t look like much more than average strikes, but the Black Fang knew better. These were five expert strikes with a singular purpose.

They left her falling back, dropping down to one knee and then the other. Her hands went to the mat as she gasped hard, struggling to refill her lungs with crucial air. ”What-” Her words were cut off by some hacking coughs, but she pushed through. ”What was that?”

After the fifth strike, Karen let go of her rival’s leg, knowing that now nothing threatens her. The Black Fang took a few steps back, and then fell to all fours. Her question of what that was is quite natural. Hawk Moth still remembered the misunderstanding in Lily's eyes when the Japanese girl used her bites against her. And if the almost completely unemotional girl could not contain her shock, then the surprise of any other person could be understood.

- Don't worry, the pain in your arms and chest will soon pass, - Karen said, taking a step forward.

Due to the fact that she grew up on the street, she had to learn how to protect herself. First there was boxing, then muay thai. But then Karen found a man who showed her how to use the effect on pain points to eliminate the threat as quickly as possible. Dim mak was a highly controversial martial art, but she gained knowledge. And then she combined this knowledge with her own strike technique, getting her own unique style, which she called the Hawk Moth bites.

Knowing that now her rival not only feels pain, but is also deprived of the ability to move, Karen was determined to act. And act no less harshly than the Black Fang. Taking another step forward, the Hawk Moth rolled over the back of her rival, grabbing her hands in her biceps in order to raise her to her feet in a back-to-back position, while still holding the brunette's hands.

- But only the pain from the bites, - Karen added to be honest, because in the end she could not say that Ryoko would no longer receive more pain in this match and right now.

The girl was going to sit down a little and strain her hands, and then straighten up to full height, raising her opponent in the air and holding her above her head. The audience in the hall rustled, surprised by the impressive physical strength of Hawk Moth. However, this was not the most spectacular of what she planned. Taking a deep breath, Karen was about to throw Ryoko forward, grabbing her hips. The street fighter wanted to direct the body of the Black Fang down, taking a sitting position! It was a match, and she was determined to win. And even if it was ride, now the girl was going to crush her rival with the help of brutal sitout crucifix powerbomb!

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 3 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

Okay, time to recap. Black Fang’s opponent had just hit her with some next level kung fu stuff. She was skilled, she could handle herself in the ring well enough, and she’d really thought she was ready for all manner of attacks. Nobody would surprise her with anything, there was nothing her teacher hadn’t prepared her for.

But that? What Hawk Moth did, it just completely threw all that out of the window and put her in foreign territory, and it wasn’t about to get any better.

Still struggling to get some feeling back, the Black Fang began to make some headway, starting to push up to her feet. She was confused at first as the woman went around and moved back to back, hooking her arms. At first blush, she thought her opponent was going for a bodybreaker, one of those rare submission moves that you just don’t see these days. That would’ve been cool.

No, no such luck. Hawk Moth was going for something far worse, and by the time the Black Fang realized what it was, it was far too late.

She shrieked as she was hurled through the air, hurled downward with a sick crucifix powerbomb. She tensed up, did her best to prepare for the impact, but there was only so much you could do to make ready for an attack like this - she was coming down and coming down hard, and there wasn’t really anything to be down about it.

The Black Fang flopped forward after the impact, going to her back and wincing at the pain. She wasn’t done, not just yet, but she was having a hard time recalling the last time she was so bad off this early in a match.

She still couldn't believe that she had to use her strongest weapon almost at the very beginning of the match. Karen did not have any too rigid principles, however, she never used her technique of striking pain points unless absolutely necessary. Even Lily only made her use it at the end of the match. But Ryoko was pretty damn good. Perhaps now Hawk Moth felt some kind of respect for her rival.

The street fighter has never given up on easy matches. Job is job. And any easy match is just easy money, nothing more, so she always didn’t care whose ass needed to be kicked. But even she never denied that she experiences a lot more positive emotions when the match is really tough. And Black Fang made it clear that this match would not be easy for Karen. Therefore, Hawk Moth was obliged to respond in kind and give her rival everything she could.

Raising her rival above her head, Karen slowed down for a second, it may have been theatrical, but it allowed everyone to understand what was in store for the long-haired brunette. And then she directed Ryoko's body down. There was a deafening crash as Black Fang's body collided with the canvas. Many viewers covered their mouths with their hands, it looks like they were really worried about the consequences for Black Fang. Hawk Moth let go of her rival's legs and got down on one knee, looking at her rival.

Something tells me that you won't give me the pin”, - she thought.

Karen was not going to test this assumption, instead she pushed Ryoko to turn her onto her belly. If she hadn't had a problem with that, then she would have come close to Black Fang's head. She was going to act quickly and the first thing she planned to do was wrap her legs around Ryoko's right arm to restrict her options. And then Hawk Moth was determined to lock her palms together right on her rival's face! This time, she didn't need a dramatic pause, now she wanted to win, so she began to pull her opponent's head back with a arm trap crossface or, as they can call it, the crippler crossface!

Bad fall. Very bad fall. Black Fang had to give her opponent credit where it was due, the woman had a lot going for her - skilled, driven, and as she was learning now, remarkably driven. It was a shame the two of them were on opposite sides of the spectrum. This was a woman she could easily see as a strong ally in the right circumstances.

At the moment, though, she was a foe, and a tough foe at that. Black Fang wallowed about on the floor, knowing that her opponent wouldn’t give her long to recover. She hissed and started to push her way up, knowing that Hawk Moth would be swooping down at any second. And, sure enough…

”Ugh!”

Black Fang had just started to sit up when Hawk Moth forced her to roll over, dropping her hard on her stomach. She descended on her quick and wrapped up her leg, giving the wrestling heroine a clear indication of what was coming next. Though knowing didn’t help her much when it came to avoidance, sadly.

”Nocrapnonono-” The Cripple Crossface was one of the most feared submissions in all of wrestling,a nd it wasn’t hard to see why. It wasn’t the first time she’d been in it, her teacher liked to bust it out during their spars, though she’d never given it her full power for obvious reasons. Now, though, she was suffering through the 100% version, and the effect was torturous, making her feel like her head was in danger of being ripped off her shoulders. Sheer, unmitigated agony from start to finish.

The ropes. She needed to get to the ropes. Now, while she still had the energy to do it.

Digging her fingernails into the canvas, she started to crawl forward, dragging them along one inch at a time, trying to get them to the edge of the ring and geed a good grip on her salvation.

She got her! Ryoko's reaction was quite natural when she realized what awaited her. Karen was well aware that this hold was perhaps one of the most painful. But if she was going to win, then she had to give credit to this superheroine! Indeed, even though Karen acted smoothly, without trying to jerk her rival's head, she put in enough effort to give the other Japanese girl enough pain! She didn't want Ryoko to get a neck injury, but she was determined to see the brunette tap!

"Are you serious?" in disbelief, Karen asked.

Instead of getting rid of the pain, the Black Fang began to use her legs and her free hand as much as possible to start crawling straight towards the ropes! Even though Hawk Moth had already managed to make sure that her rival was quite experienced and purposeful, now she was sincerely amazed. Ryoko seemed to have the most important thing a real fighter should have. She possessed a strong willpower, which pushed her to salvation, overcoming the pain of Karen's submission hold!

Indeed, now the street fighter had no doubts, her rival fully deserved due respect. Karen has met not much people who showed true fortitude during the fight. You can be really strong physically. But what's the point if you're a real weakling inside? And now Hawk Moth couldn't say for sure that her rival wasn't weak in spirit!

The ropes were getting closer and closer, the street fighter knew that her time was running out. And while Ryoko got her respect, she couldn't let this Japanese girl make her way to the ropes in peace! If until this moment Karen had only used her legs to immobilize her rival's arm, right now Hawk Moth intended to move her legs to the side in order to put pressure on the Black Fang's shoulder joint! Every second was important and therefore she could not waste time! Karen strained her arms as much as possible, leaning back in order to apply maximum pressure on her opponent's head!

"Ask her!" she ordered to the striped shirt.

This often surprised Karen. Sometimes it seemed to her that the referees were forgetting that they had a job and certain responsibilities. And therefore, she did not understand the fact that right now the referee was simply standing on the sidelines, watching the opposite attempts to get out of this situation. However, after Karen's words, the striped shirt nevertheless came closer and then the simplest and most logical question in this situation sounded.

"Black Fang, you give up?" asked the referee.

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 3 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

The Black Fang was, at this moment, far more aware of her neck than she really wanted to be. She could feel her tendons straining as Hawk Moth applied more and more pressure, her bones begging for release, her body coursing with the kind of pain that made other women justifiably tap. She’d be lying if she said the thought didn’t cross her mind. Her body wouldn’t have complained about getting out of this torture, she was sure of that much.

She just had to hold on a little longer, though. Almost at the ropes. Close now, closer, closer still. Hawk Moth made her work for every inch of it, pulling hard with her legs and threatening to pull her arm clean from her shoulders. It took real effort to not scream at the obscene pressure she was being put through, to keep her mind focused as she fought for every inch.

But she managed. Somehow.

”Not...happening…” She growled out her response to the referee as she inched forward, staying alive and in the game. The woman shook her head and moved out of the way as the Black Fang continued her dread march, crawling more and more, until...

Got them. The Black Fang grabbed the ropes and held on tight, shaking them with a white knuckle grip. The referee was quick to call for it, too. ”Rope break! Let up!”

She refused. Of course she refused. Karen even shook her head when she heard her rival's answer. Her willpower really deserved respect, however, despite this, the Hawk Moth was not going to let her go just like that. The Black Fang continued to move as Karen continued to put pressure on her opponent's neck and arm. If Ryoko is going to go all the way, then the street fighter is not going to let her make it easy! And yet... the free hand of the Black Fang dropped to the botto rope and in a moment Karen heard the order of the striped shirt.

Immediately, Karen relaxed her arms, allowing her rival's head to feel free. And with that, she pulled her legs away, letting go of the brunette's right hand. The audience in the audience applauded Ryoko's resilience, amazed at her determination. Karen got to her feet and looked at her rival, who had crawled an impressive distance through the thicket of wild pain. The Hawk Moth tilted her head slightly to the side. If she now grabbed her opponent's leg and pulled her back to the center of the ring, then it might all be over right now. A genuine smile appeared on Karen's face.

Well done, you have my respect,” said the street fighter.

The girl took a few steps back, returning to the center of the ring. Indeed, there are no rules on the street. Either you do what is necessary and survive, or you are eaten alive. And despite the fact that she lived all her life by this principle, she did not turn into an animal that is ready to tear to pieces another person for the sake of victory. She was always as cruel as her rival was. Plus, it was a standard match and she didn't want to be cruel than necessary.

So right now, Karen was going to give her opponent all the time she needed to clean herself up, unhindered to her feet, and then return to the match. The smile on Karen's face grew slightly wider as she slowly raised her hands and then clapped her hands. Once again. Once again. She encouraged the audience to start applauding, supporting her opponent's determination to get to her feet and continue the match.

Good God, the Black Fang hoped she would never have to go through anything like that again.

‘Torture’ was the word she kept coming to, the only real way to describe that kind of ordeal. There was a trail of sweat where she’d dragged her way across the ring and fought for every inch, and her body was reeling from the aftereffects. The simple act of turning her head from side to side made it feel like someone was jabbing her in the neck, and there was no telling when that sensation would subside...or if it ever would. If her teacher had been here, she’d be chastising her for risking her career over a one-off match.

But she wasn’t. This was Ryoko’s life, and she’d live in the way saw fit, with or without approval.

Interestingly enough, though, it seemed like she had that approval, anyway. As she started pulling her way up, wincing all the way, she heard...clapping? Sure enough, she looked back and saw that it was coming from Hawk Moth, and it spread out to the audience. Wasn’t moving in, wasn’t taking advantage of the situation, was just giving her props. Definitely not the standard way to act in a match, but the Black Fang wasn’t complaining, especially when she was on the benefit of it.

Then again, she could’ve been making fun of her, too. That was a distinct possibility. But the Black Fang liked to think the best of people, so she’d lean towards the high road.

So, she was being allowed a reset. Fine. She stood up, took a moment to rub her neck, then slumped forward into her classic grappling stance, locking eyes with Hawk Moth. ”Back to it.”

The Black Fang stepped forward, closing the distance with cautious movements, not wanting to dedicate too much or take a big risk...yet. Her opponent had controlled most of the match, dominated, and if she wanted to change that, she would have to be smart and seize any opportunity that came her way.
