Karen was not a gambler, but now she was ready to bet that she saw the surprise in the eyes of her rival. Indeed, the street fighter was not a little girl, she perfectly understood that she did act in a completely unnatural way for this ring. However, who could forbid her to do this? Although she was here mainly because it was her job, she always respected pure and unbiased competition.

But what she respected even more was her real fortitude. And after Ryoko passed the test that the Hawk Moth prepared for her, the Japanese girl was determined to give her rival a few free moments, even if it was not profitable for herself. The audience supported Karen's intention and directed the energy of support towards the Black Fang. She deserved it because Karen knew for sure that it took her a lot of effort to get out of one of the most painful submission holds!

Now, unlike the start of the match, the street fighter looked at her opponent with sincere respect. Therefore, she only nodded approvingly when the long-haired brunette took a fighting stance and made it clear that she was ready to return to the game. Karen did exactly the same, raising her slightly bent palms closer to her chin and leaning slightly forward. She was not only skilled at boxing, so she didn't mind opening up a new round with grappling.

Even though her attitude changed, she didn't forget that it was a match. And she was going to win it. So she started to approach Ryoko, each of the girls was in no hurry now. The Black Fang understood that now she had no right to make a mistake, and Karen had already taken into account the fact that her rival could be faster if necessary and counterattack at the most inopportune moment. Therefore, now Karen saw only one way out of this situation.

When they were close enough to each other, the Hawk Moth was about to throw her arms forward to close with the brunette! Perhaps it was too easy, but now she wanted to enter a pure collar and elbow competition with her rival!

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

Fighting Hawk Moth straight on was not going to work. The past few minutes made that fact abundantly clear.

The Black Fang prided herself on being a well rounded wrestler, on being able to tick enough boxes to give her an advantage in any situation. If her opponent was strong but slow, she could dazzle them with her speed. If they were quick but light, she had enough strength to toss them around. Versatility. In wrestling, having an answer to any situation was a serious advantage, and one she specialized in.

But it was starting to feel like Hawk Moth had a similar philosophy. If there were holes in her game, the Black Fang couldn’t spot them. It was like she had the same kind of approach to wrestling, only her stats were a little higher. In a straight exchange, she would come out on top, more often than not. The direct approach was a losing proposition.

That didn’t mean it was hopeless, though, only that she’d have to be a little creative.

It looked like she wanted to go for a classic tie up, and the Black Fang started to move towards her opponent with her arms up, looking for all the world like she was going to accept it. When her opponent lunged, however, she ducked down at the right time and let those grasping arms pass by overhead, narrowly avoiding the test. Instead of engaging with that, she wrapped her arms around her foe’s midsection and pulled her in tight as she circled behind, hugging her tight from the rear.

COLOR=#000000]”Up you-”[/color] The Black Fang planted her feet, lifted up, and attempted to bring her foe crashing down on her shoulders with a sharp German Suplex, hammering her into the canvas. ”Go!”

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

The street fighter was well aware that sometimes it was better to slow down a little in order to decide how to proceed. That is why she did not decide not to rush at her rival this time, hoping that both girls would come into close contact. Step by step, the Hawk Moth approached Ryoko, and then she threw her arms forward, hoping to grab the back of her opponent's head and elbow. Since the long-haired brunette was probably still not in her best condition, Karen was sure that the Black Fang would also be happy with this development.

Well, the brunette was really happy, because instead of slowing things down, she decided to only speed them up. In the blink of an eye, the Black Fang ducked and stepped to the side, dodging Karen's arms. And even before the street fighter could step back, she felt Ryoko grab her waist, pressing Karen's back to her stomach. The Japanese girl's eyes widened as she realized what was about to happen.

For some reason unknown to her, many considered her to be just a savage who came from the street. However, the Hawk Moth considered herself a more practical person, she had a rich life experience. And right now it was not difficult for her to understand what the Black Fang was up to. The girl's right fist clenched, she already sent her hand back in order to hit Ryoko's head with her elbow. However, the long-haired brunette turned out to be faster, because she had already begun to lift Karen into the air. The whistle of air currents stuck in the Hawk Moth's ears, and then an electric shock passed through her body.

"Ghar!" she cried out in a strangled voice because of the sudden pain.

It seems that her opponent decided to start a new round with a trump card. And it's worth saying honestly that she succeeded. Sparks flew from Karen's eyes as her mind clouded over for a few seconds. The only thing she had the strength for now was to jerk her legs in order to shift the center of gravity and fall on her right side. Although most likely she did it involuntarily.

The girl put her right hand on the back of her head, mechanically trying to calm the pain in this way. She blinked several times, but the fog did not disappear from her eyes, it seems that this fall cost her a very dear price.

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

The Black Fang had been on the receiving end of enough German Suplexes to know how a well-executed one could ring your bells, so she had some inkling of what Hawk Moth was going through at the moment. The sudden lift, the crash, the resounding impact that seemed to ring through your skull like a hammer, it all came together at once, an overload to the senses. It was disorienting and painful having your entire world flipped around and dumped, especially if you did it right - and the Black Fang knew how to do it right, if she were one to boast.

Hawk Moth likely would’ve agreed, if the way she reacted was anything to go by. The woman had displayed a lot of energy in this match, taking whatever the Black Fang threw her way and giving it back in equal measure, but this seemed to take a lot of the life out of her all at once. All she managed in after the crashed was a bit of spasm, enough to keep her shoulders from staying on the mat and little else. Quite a shame for her, because it wasn’t even close to being over.

Instead of going for the release version of the German Suplex, the Black Fang had kept her arms clenched around Hawk Moth, staying pressed to her back even as she rolled over, gripping her fingers tight. As she clung, she swung her leg over so that she was laying on top of the woman, holding fast to her like a limpet.

Like this, she planted one foot flat on the floor, then the other, and start to rise up, lifting Hawk Moth along with her. At first it just seemed like she wanted to get her opponent on her feet, no doubt preparing to continue with another move. But that wasn’t exactly the truth - she had something grander in mind.

She stopped rising halfway, then paused for a deep breath, summoning all the power she could muster. In a sudden burst of raw power, she enlisted every muscle she could - her legs, her his, her back - and pulled Hawk Moth up and over once more, bringing her into the air in a full arc and slamming her into the mat once more, this time with a Deadlift German Suplex.

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

Karen was willing to bet five bucks that after all the efforts she put into this match, the advantage should remain on her side. However, her opponent would definitely have taken this bet, since almost in the blink of an eye she managed to turn the game in her favor. And that's even putting it mildly. Despite the fact that the Hawk Moth had very balanced physical characteristics, in her opinion, she did not tolerate sudden pain very well. And this sudden German suplex was exactly the movement that almost completely knocked the spirit out of her.

Lying on her side, Karen put her hand on her forehead, trying to orient herself and recover. However, the combination of headache and dizziness made this attempt quite mediocre. She didn't even hear her own thoughts. Some things are quite funny. The German Suplex was one of the most common moves to make a quick attack with maximum efficiency. But the Black Fang was able to do it in a much more efficient way, it looks like the long-haired brunette had practiced this technique many times and she was still full of surprises.

Apparently it really was true, since even the fact that Karen was not in the most comfortable position right now, Ryoko did not let go of the street fighter. Another Japanese girl rolled over while still holding the Hawk Moth's waist. Karen's head was still in too bad shape and her body was now more like a rag doll. Trying to somehow prevent her rival from lifting her to her feet, Karen tried to clench her fist and hit Ryoko, however, she was too weak now, the body refused to act as it should.

Crap…” the girl thought, realizing how disastrous she was in because of her mistake.

Karen already felt that her feet were touching the mat, now she could stand. But instead of feeling her legs touching a hard surface, the girl felt her body rise higher. Her heart began to beat much faster and at the same time her breath caught in her throat. It seems that everything was much more prosaic...

The Hawk Moth's body moved in a wide arc as the audience screamed in anticipation. They seemed to really like the way things began to unfold after the street fighter failed to force her rival to submit. A deafening rumble marked the collision of the Hawk Moth's body with the mat. This time, the girl did not even scream, the scream simply stuck in her throat.

It reminded her of something, but she couldn't remember what it was. Perhaps the hellish pain that went through her body from head to toe prevented her from thinking. Or maybe she just wasn't able to think right now. Karen's eyes rolled back and all the audience could see was just the whites of the eyes. The open mouth of the street fighter completed this look. It looks like she was right, the Black Fang did have a special flair for German suplexes. The fact that the Hawk Moth now looked like a piece of beaten meat spoke very loudly about it.

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

Post by acuyra Mon Dec 07, 2020 4:21 am

Hawk Moth might not have screamed this time, but the Black Fang certainly did, and not without good reason. That move took a lot of her energy - a lot. She couldn’t recall the last time she’d had to summon so much power for a move. She wasn’t a strong wrestler by any real standard, but her teacher had taught her to use her body to its fullest, to maximize every muscle for the best result, and this was the result of that lesson.

Her thighs surged, tensed as she planted her feet hard on the canvas.

Her spine stretched, bones and muscles creaked and strained.

Her arms swelled and her fingers ached at the strain.

It was her whole body working in tandem, a symphony of motion and power, all coming together to bring her opponent up and slam down with resounding impact. The crash was enough that it made her own teeth rattle, tingled her body, so she could only imagine what it did to Hawk Moth.

Actually, no, she didn’t have to imagine it. She rolled off to the side, wincing, in time to see the fruits of her labor. Her opponent was aching, to put it in the nicest, most PG way possible. Completely trashed after the double crash, her eyes in a haze and her body limper than a dishrag. In fact, she made the Black Fang wish that she’d gone with the pin after that last suplex, really taking advantage of her state. Then again, who said it was too late?

Rolling over, she moved over Hawk Moth’s body and went through the motions - grabbing the leg, tugging it in tight, making sure to brace both feet to apply the most weight. She let her back come down on her opponent’s chest, using all the weight she could muster to pin her shoulders to the mat. It was a longshot, she knew, but…

The referee dropped to their side and started the count, going along with the audience. ”1…!”

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

Post by skip-stop Wed Dec 09, 2020 1:27 pm

The moment the Black Fang released Karen's body, the girl simply collapsed on the mat with no signs of movement, the only thing that hinted that she was still alive was the rising and falling chest, but otherwise she looked nothing more than a broken person. After one very unpleasant incident that happened to her a long time ago, the Hawk Moth tries more than anything else to avoid head injuries. At that time she was hit very hard on the head with a bottle and it all ended in the hospital. And now it was safe to say that the girl experienced something similar. Although no, this time it was even worse, because despite her appearance, she remained conscious, but without a single opportunity to move.

Dizziness and pain were all the Japanese girl felt now. Of course, she was not a doctor, however, something told her that the masterful German suplex that her rival had given her might have given her a concussion. It is worth paying tribute to the long-haired brunette, she did not regret a single drop of power in order to crush the Hawk Moth.

The audience in the audience shouted loudly in anticipation of the end of the show. And the screams only intensified as Ryoko lay down on Karen's modest chest, pressing her against the mat. Feeling the pressure on her chest, the street fighter's face contorted with pain, now she was very bad and without it. She tried her best to force herself to move, but it was useless. Although her eyes were open, she saw nothing but a white veil. The sounds that entered her head were too blurry, as if someone turned on a TV nearby, where no channels were working. The Black Fang grabbed both of the street fighter's legs, holding her securely against the mat. It meant only one thing.

"One!" the referee was already there and her hand had already landed on the mat for the first time.

The clap near Karen's ear was like a grenade explosion and the screams of the audience only made it worse. Hell, all she thought now was that she had to break free from her rival's grip. But the body refused to obey. Will there a new empty spot on the wall in her room this time instead of a new photograph?

"TWO!!" many spectators rose from their seats, repeating the count after the referee.

The Hawk Moth has always been a very practical person. For this, many disliked her, considering her too mundane. She did not believe in miracles, she did not wear rose-colored glasses, and in general, realism was one of the principles of her life. And Karen knew very well that sometimes you just can't keep going forward. She did not forget a single time when she lay on the concrete with a broken face. Could she be accused of not continuing to fight then? She didn't think so. And now... she knew that the hand of the striped shirt would go down for the third time and she would lose. Damn headache...

"THR..."

The referee's palm began to sink down. The Hawk Moth frantically jerked to the side, straightening her legs. It all happened so suddenly that the referee girl had to move her hand so quickly to the side that she even fell on the mat. The audience held their breath as the referee's hand touched the mat on a tangent without a clap. The referee girl knelt up and raised her hand up. And this hand showed only two fingers, confirming that Karen had managed to escape a thousandth of a second before the last count.

"Haaa... haaa... haaa..." the girl swallowed air heavily, remaining lying on her left side.

She didn't even quite understand how and why she did it. Her eyes were looking somewhere very far, it seems that she herself had not yet believed that she had managed to stay in the match. The Hawk Moth knew very well that lose in a good match was no shame and that now she could have lied on her back, letting her opponent win. But something inside refused to let her do it. Was this banal stubbornness? Or was there something more hidden here? Perhaps she needs a few more seconds to clear her head of dizziness before she finds the answer to this question.

[Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect - Page 4 Empty Re: [Standard Match] Hawk Moth vs The Black Fang - Motivation And Respect

Post by acuyra Sat Jan 02, 2021 6:19 pm

These three seconds were always the hardest for Black Fang. She didn’t like to get her hopes up too much in matches, wanted to be realistic about things, but she’d felt good about this pin. Three seconds. One-twentieth of a minute. That was all she was asking for, all she could need to bring this ordeal to a close. The Hawk Moth was already proving to be one of the toughest, most resilient and dangerous opponents she’d ever put herself up against, and if she could put an end to this match before things got out of hand even further, she was more than willing to try it.

With every pinfall, the Black Fang drew a deeper breath. One, then two, then-

”Damn.”

She kicked out. And not just a regular kick out, either, but one of those heart-racing, last second kickouts, the kind where the referee is almost finished saying the last number and her hand is only inches away from the canvas. It was so close, there was a clear, small debate going on in the crowd over it.

”THAT WAS THREE! THAT WAS THREE!”

It wasn’t three, she was close enough to say that with authority, but the Black Fang appreciated the enthusiasm, if nothing else. No, Hawk Moth had kicked out of that one, fair and square. Still more work to be done.

Instead of wallowing, she needed to move on and work towards finishing this. That hadn’t been the route she wanted, but she was still on a good path to finishing this match and putting a win in her column. Hawk Moth was on the edge, she just needed something big to put her over, and she had some good ideas on that front, but she needed to work on getting her opponent there.

She stood up and grabbed Hawk Moth by the shoulder, forcing her to stand along with. Once they were up and stable, she pulled back, grabbed her foe by the wrist, twisted about and attempted to send her running off hard, putting her full body weight into an Irish Whip towards the furthest corner.

This is not a great achievement, but Karen has never complained about her life. She perfectly understood that no matter how bad it was for you, there will always be those who will be even worse. Her mother abandoned her as a child, her father was never next to her, she was abandoned by the only person she loved, she went down the dark path of street fights. By the time she came here, to AFW, she didn't even remember why she was doing this at all. The original reason is somewhere very far in the past.

She constantly justified herself by saying that she was just good at using her fists. Although the Japanese girl never tried to just beat people, she had real talent in the octagon. “It's just my way of making a living,” she told herself constantly. But deep down, Karen knew these were nothing more than mere words. And for the past few years, she's just used that as an excuse to fill that endless void in her heart after all the shit that happened to her.

And right now, lying on her left side and trying to suppress the pain in her body, she was trying to understand why she decided to continue this match. Her body was already beginning to refuse to obey her, the pain after the masterful throws of Black Fang was simply unbearable. She could have just stayed down, letting the long-haired brunette take the win. Tomorrow all this would be left behind and she would not even remember this defeat. This is exactly what she did when she lay on the pavement, having missed another heavy blow during a street fight. A new day is a new life. So there is no point in trying to take the maximum from the current day.

The screams of the crowd seemed to her to be something very quiet, but with each new breath that filled her body with oxygen, these screams became louder and louder. It seems that at least her mind is starting to clear up. It was good, of course, but for Ryoko it was not a reason to stop. The Hawk Moth felt her rival forcefully force her to her feet. With a painful groan, Karen had no choice but to submit. For an instant, she managed to look into the eyes of the long-haired brunette. She saw passion, she saw the desire for victory, she saw the desire to fight to the very end. Commendable, very commendable. A long time ago...

"A long time ago I had such a passion too..." Karen thought.

Once upon a time, she the fire in her soul burned brighter than the sun in the sky. Life has always been a piece of shit, but she always found the strength to move on. And she entered the octagon in order to prove to herself that she could overcome anything. Not because she is physically strong, but because she is just a strong person. Exactly. She remembered. The moment Black Fang grabbed her hand to send her for a run towards the corner, Karen finally remembered.

If you were forced to kneel and the one who stands in front of you, be it a rival or even life itself, tells you "I will break you". It is your sacred duty to rise to your feet with your head held high, show your middle finger and say...

"FUCK YOU!" Karen almost screamed just as Ryoko was about to release her hand.
FUCK YOU:

Putting her foot firmly forward in order to stop her run, Karen turned to face her opponent, grabbing her wrist with both hands. Taking a step to the side and turning around her axis, she was going to twist the brunette's arm with a arm wrench! Her heart began to beat faster, her pupils dilated. An unprecedented feeling of relief swept through her body from head to toe. Passion. The true passion of fight is what awakened in her. The Hawk Moth was about to take a step forward, tugging on Ryoko's hand to bring it closer to her. Jaws clenched, Karen intended to tilt her head forward in order to bump her forehead against her rival's forehead! And even though she perfectly understood that this would not be a gift for her health, but this short-arm headbutt will definitely let her opponent know that she has not finished this match yet!

Just keep moving. Just keep fighting.

The Black Fang could already feel her body starting to reach its natural limits. True, the two of them hadn’t really wrestled all that long, but even ten minutes could feel like ten minutes in the ring. It was like the air around the ropes could sap your energy, whittle you away to nothing and leave you as a burnt out husk. It was a feeling any grappler would be familiar with, and by god, was she suffering under that now.

But she could end this thing. She could sense it. The escalation the two of them were building up wouldn’t lead to anything less. Just a bit more, one more hard push. The combo she was setting up would’ve been the perfect coda for that, put Hawk Moth on the road to taking her finisher and going down for good.

A strong notion. A good one. But it wasn’t happening, and that realization sunk in the moment Hawk Moth shrieked out her curse, showing far more energy that the Black Fang would’ve given her credit for. Her Irish Whip, simple as it was, wasn’t happening. Her opponent had other ideas.

It was a bit too dramatic for the Black Fang’s tastes, but to be fair, Hawk Moth was capable of backing up her bravado with action. Before she could even think of reacting, her wrist was grabbed, her body was yanked in, and the two of them were brought together for a cracking headbutt.

The impact was a resounding one, turning her entire world white for an instant. The Black Fang’s legs buckled and she went down to one knee, dropped hard, stars dancing in front of her eyes.

But she wasn’t done, far from it. Without much thought, her frazzled mind went with the first instinct that came to it: payback. With her other hand, she reached up to grab Hawk Moth’s wrist, solidifying their hold on each other instead of trying to relinquish it. She pulled them both back together and shot her body forward, looking to hit her foe with a headbutt of her own, trying to match her ferocity and see who came out on top.
