Match Type: Standard
Victory Conditions:Victory by pinfall, submission, or knockout.

***

God, Valley needed this match so much.

After he debacle with Chloe, she’d been in a rut, to put her state in the nicest way possible. Hayley had been a big help, boosting her up with her constant positive energy, but there was only so much she could do after something like that. Losing wasn’t that big of a deal. She’d lost plenty of matches in her career, she’d come back from them stronger, always found a way to get the better of things and emerge a stronger person. But losing like that, by a forced orgasm…

It was a new kind of losing, one that made her regret ever looking down on hentai wrestlers in the past. To think that women like Bubbles and Kaylee had to deal with that in every match, that they could grow used to it, went beyond her imagination.

Her current imagination, anyway. She had some ideas on changing that in the future and stepping outside her comfort zone. For the time being, however, her comfort zone was the place she needed to be. She needed a match, a good match against someone who could truly test her, and the General Manager of Tension agreed. Fairchild was quick to set her up with one of the dream matches she’d wanted when she first set foot in Tension.

Kyo Akamatsu.

She found herself in the ring now, pacing back and forth, bouncing on her heels as her theme music began to die off. The crowd was still throwing her cheers and support, but she couldn’t help but notice the occasional snickers and funny looks, as the memory of Chloe’s humiliation still hung about. She did her best to ignore it and focus on the man who’d be coming thorugh those curtains soon. Kyo Akamatsu was not a man to be taken lightly - as one of the few veterans still on the roster, he’d seen it all, done it all, had a wealth of experience that few could rival. Not only that, but as a newly minted tag team champion, he’d have some things to prove. A singles loss wouldn’t be as big a deal for him, but still not something a champion would want on his record in the middle of a reign.

In other words, he was exactly what she needed. After getting in some last second stretches, she made her way to the corner and leaned up against it.

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

If Kyo was honest with himself, he was really looking forward to this match.

It had been only a few days since he and Makie had won the tag team championship. A few days for the elation of victory to settle down. It still felt unbelievable in so many ways: after struggling, and losing, so often for so long, he and Makie had finally won the tag belts. Now that they were the championships, obviously, they had to hold on to their belts for as long as they could...but the question that had kept popping into Kyo's head again and again was: what now?

The answer was obvious: keep wrestling. Now that he had a championship belt, he simply had that much more to prove now, even in solo matches like this one. No, especially in solo matches like this one.

It seemed that Veronica Fairchild had been of the same mindset-- hence why she had scheduled him for a bout against none other than Valley Doll. The Valley Doll: not only the former Entropy champion, but also one of the most well-known wrestlers of AFW and beyond. He had followed more than a few of her matches, and had heard that she had made the move to Tension not that long ago. At the time, he had wondered, idly, if this meant that he would have a chance to fight an opponent of her caliber. And now...well, here he was, striding down the ramp to do just that.

As his fans cheered him on, his attention focused on the ring. Valley Doll was there, waiting for him. To say there was a lot riding on this match was an understatement: even with his belt, he would have a lot to prove against an opponent like Valley Doll. Of course, she also realized that Valley was also coming into this match with a lot to prove having moved from Friction to Tension, with its larger pool of male wrestlers. Kyo was also painfully aware that, all too recently, Valley had suffered a humiliating loss to Chloe Mason, one that had ended in a forced orgasm. He shuddered: that was an undignified way for any wrestler to lose. But it simply meant all the more that Valley was going to be fighting to win tonight, and he would have to bring his A game against her.

Sliding under the ropes, Kyo found himself only a few metres away from Valley. Up close, she was an impressive sight, her slender build yet well-developed abdominals and leg muscles suggesting quite a lot of speed and hitting power. Her stance was that of someone used to the ring, and was more than at home in the squared circle. Kyo had seen enough of Valley's matches to get a good sense of her fighting style, but what he had seen also told him that he should be on his guard against her.

On guard as he was, he couldn't help but smile as he approached her.

"Valley Doll, I presume?" he said, with all of the outward confidence befitting a newly-minted champion. "A pleasure to finally meet you. Your promo material doesn't do you justice at all. I'll be honest, I had been hoping that Miss Sellers would arrange a match between us: I'd always heard you were good, and I wanted to see in person just how good." Of course, he had a fairly confident idea of just how good Valley was, but a little friendly banter never hurt-- a lesson he was finally beginning to learn from years of tagging with Makie.

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Valley found herself liking Kyo right away, and not just because he was a handsome well-built man, though that certainly didn’t hurt the assessment.

He was a champion and one of Tension’s most known commodities, so he could’ve been forgiven for caring himself with some air of authority. He’d earned that right, no one could take that away from him. She had her own pedigree, but this was Tension, this was his playground. There was no reason he had to show her any real respect, could’ve played it tough and tried to intimidate her. It wouldn’t work, of course, but she couldn’t fault him for an attempt.

But he did. ”You presume correctly.” She extended her hand and went for a shake, nodding along with it as the crowd cheered. It was good to see people respect sportsmanship, and while it didn’t quite wash away the foul taste she’d gotten from the audience after Chloe’s humiliation, it was a good start.

”A pleasure to meet you...flatterer.” Valley winked and took a step back, before she proceeded to bounce on her heels a few times to get warmed up. That all goes double for you, Mr. Tag Team Champion. And yeah, I’ve been wanting this for a while, too. They tell me you’re the best. Don’t make all those people liars.”

Valley wagged a finger his way, then dropped down into her wrestling stance, ready to kick things off. The bell rang soon after, but she didn’t burst into action right away, wanting to see how aggressive Kyo might be.

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

From what Kyo had seen of Valley's matches, the woman was a serious, no nonsense competitor, who didn't usually involve herself in petty things like banter, trash talk or in-ring drama. She quickly proved that assessment right by offering her hand. Kyo shook it firmly, an act of sportsmanship between two heroic fighters that the audience seemed to love. Their battle hadn't even begun, but already, Kyo had a good feeling about this match.

Of course, they were probably going to slam, concuss and stretch the ever-living hell out of each other once the bell rang, but that was beside the point.

Catching Valley's return compliment and wink, Kyo fought off the urge to blush. Obviously, Valley was a very attractive woman, but he was here to fight her, not ogle her-- besides, her relationship with Silver Ace was a matter of public knowledge. Even so, Kyo's cheeks reddened ever so slightly as Valley remarked that he was supposedly the best in Tension.

"Now who's flattering?" he responded with a mirthful smile, circling Valley, quietly tensing as he sensed the match about to being. As if on cue, the bell rang: Valley was no doubt playing it cautiously, and wasn't rushing in to attack. Seeing no need to force the matter either, Kyo raised his arms, motioning for a lockup.

All the while, he remembered the matches of Valley's that he had watched the night before, and remembered the plan he'd thought up in order to defeat her. Evade or counter her strikes, disable her legs, hamper her mobility. Wiinning against someone with such superb technique as Valley Doll was going to be difficult, but if he was going to win, he would first have to nullify her deadly high-flying attacks...

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Valley held her position right out of the gate, leaving the crowd wanting for the action to start. It wasn’t the way she liked to kick matches off, preferring to pour on the aggression from the start and take an early lead in damage, but this was going to have to be a different case. From what she knew of the ‘Samurai of Tension’, he was more well-rounded than most men in the AFW tended to be. Not the strongest, but not the weakest. Not the fastest, but not the slowest. She couldn’t recall seeing any major flaws in his style, and when you put that kind of experience in a brain that had the patience to use it properly, you could get a dangerous concoction.

The bell rang, and he took the initiative, bring his arms up for a lockup. Valley eyed his arms curiously, admiring the definition, the clear strength they possessed. While she was stronger than she looked, she doubted she could come anywhere close to overpowering him - this was a contest she’d lose if she played it straight. But she had little intention of doing that.

Arms up, feet planted, base stable. She took the telltale position and inched closer to him, closing the gap. When she was close enough, she threw herself into him full force, locking up with him in a full grapple.

For now, she just powered into him with all the strength she had. Admittedly, it wouldn’t be much, but she was curious to see how he reacted and how much strength he brought to bear.

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Kyo had banked a lot of what he knew of Valley's personality when he motioned for a lockup, his eyes never leaving hers as he silently dared her on. True to form, Valley accepted his challenge, circling him in turn with no hint of deception visible in her stance. Even as they circled, Kyo could have sworn Valley was eyeing his arms curiously as they edged forward. Assessing his strength, perhaps, or maybe liking what she saw?

Snap out of it, Kyo, you have a match to win.

The two of them tied up, and Kyo got a sense of Valley's deceptive strength as the two of them grappled and pushed. He actually felt himself being forced back a few steps...that was, until he dug his booted heels into the mat. Gritting his teeth slightly, he pushed back against her...

...and then suddenly ducked low, aiming to spin up behind her and twist her arm behind her back in a classic chickenwing. Nothing too painful, nothing impossible to escape from...at this point, Kyo was merely testing the waters, waiting to see how Valley would react with a bit of classic chain wrestling. He knew Valley was going to counter, and he wanted to see just how impressive that counter would be...

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Post by acuyra Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:39 pm

Yup, that went about like Valley was expecting. She gained grown for a little while, just a few steps, until Kyo planted his feet down and grounded himself, turning his body into a hardened wall. From there, she just couldn’t make any headway, even when she hunkered down and tried to power forward with the raw strength of her legs. She wouldn’t quite put him on Daisuke’s level, but he was still a solid specimen of a man, and she’d wager his muscle was more well-rounded than the Prince. There probably weren’t too many thing he couldn’t do with a body like this.

Intel gained, mission accomplished. Now, she was going to drop to the side, scissor his legs, and-

”Oh!”

Valley had just started to prepare her next move when Kyo beat her to the punch, capturing her arm and twisting it around in a swift chickenwing. It wasn’t the mere speed that took her by surprise, but the skill in which he pulled it off. No wasted motion, no hesitation, the mark of countless hours of practice. On top of that, it was rare to see moves like this in the AFW, with most wrestlers barely ever delving into chain wrestling.

”Okay, okay, you can dance.” She nodded and grunted, shifting in his grasp for comfort. ”Let’s see…”

Valley started to pull left, the abruptly went right, making a little space between them. It was only for an instant, but in that instant she had enough leeway to twist her arm above, duck down, and spin out of the hold beneath him, coming lose in a flourish. At the same time, she tried to grab hold of his wrist, so she could capture his arm and put him in the very same move. A slick reversal.

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Post by Underdog21 Sat Sep 19, 2020 4:53 am

Kyo couldn't help but smile a little in satisfaction as he managed to maneuver behind Valley, twisting her arm sharply behind her back. The move had quite clearly caught the Slamazon by surprise, as that little gasp of hers had illustrated: perhaps she had been expecting Kyo to simply try to overpower her, or to go on the offensive in a more direct way. If he could keep Valley guessing throughout the match, then he would have a definite edge going forward.

He heard Valley give a comment about dancing, and then she suddenly pulled left. A feint, Kyo realized too late, as Valley reversed and twisted right under his arm. In an instant, their holds were reversed, with Kyo gasping slightly as his arm was twisted painfully behind his back. One chickenwing for another, a perfect reversal of the hold.

Valley's earlier comment was correct, Kyo knew: so far, this was a dance. While the two of them were engaged in technique-driven chain wrestling, neither of them was really going all-out against each other yet. They were both testing one another's reactions and skill...but it was only a matter of time before that changed.

"I'm full of surprises," Kyo said, replying to Valley's banter with some of his own, suddenly dropping down and slamming his butt against Valley, hoping to use the positioning to execute a judo toss on the Slamazon. If he succeeded in flipping her over his back, he would hope to drop her down to her side, kneeling behind her and grabbing her wrist with his free hand, pinning her shoulder in place as he tried to go for an armbar...

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Post by acuyra Tue Sep 22, 2020 2:38 am

It wasn’t flashy, it wasn’t fast, it wasn’t the sort of thing that could make the audience cheer right from the start, but Valley found herself appreciating this slower, methodical approach that Kyo was kicking off with. Already, she was starting to get a feel for the way he moved and the dangers he posed - wrestling fundamentals all day long.

But she wasn’t without her own talents in this area, as her reversal proved. She synched it in, nice and tight, doing unto him as he’d done unto her. She was honestly surprised she even remembered how to do the move so well, it had been so long she’d brought it out outside of a spar.

”All right, a little turnabout. Let’s see how you do.”

He did well, sure enough, as Valley found herself flying head over heels a moment later, sending skyward with a slick judo through. Valley came down for a hard landing on her backside. She tried to get up right after the impact, but Kyo proved to be quick on his uptake, moving in to seize her arm before she could even dream of getting away. A good, solid armbar. Not the end of the world, but enough to keep her under control. That was his likely thinking, at least.

”So you are.” She planted one foot on the mat, then the other, defying him as she worked back to her feet, but it wasn’t freedom just yet. For that, she’d have to be a little bit trickier.

She took one step forward, testing her binds, seeing how well he had the move locked in. Quite well, in her estimation, but that didn’t mean there was no way out of it. As she straightened up, she slid her foot around behind his ankle, subtly moving into position…

With a sudden jerk, she pushed back on the hold, hoping to take him off guard and make him trip up, hoping it would shake her loose of the hold in the process.

Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Valley Doll - The Road To Recovery

Post by Underdog21 Wed Sep 23, 2020 5:00 am

Kyo's judo toss worked as well as he had hoped, flipping Valley down onto her back and then pinning her in place with a well-placed knee, before promptly twisting her arm backwards in an effort to both inflict pain and to keep the trapped limb under control. Valley, though, wasn't taking this lying down (so to speak), and reacted quickly, getting one boot on the mat. Kyo responded by cinching the armbar more tightly, enough so that it would be even more uncomfortable, but then Valley was getting her other boot on the mat. A second later, Valley was standing up again, forcing Kyo to stand with her even as he kept the armbar locked.

Kyo braced himself, anticpating another counter by Valley in turn-- for her to grab the back of his head, for instance, and flip him over her shoulder, or to even twist around and snap a kick up at his face. All of these were things Kyo would have done, and he knew how to counter or even simply mitigate them where necessary.

Instead, however, Valley reached one powerful leg back and locked a heel around his. Kyo braced himself, expecting to be tripped forwards....but instead, Valley suddenly shifted backwards, causing the two wrestlers to topple back to the mat.

Kyo grunted slightly as his back impacted the mat, and the force of the blow was enough to make him leg go of Valley's arm. Not wanting to be sitting in place for whatever she had planned next, he tried to roll away, hoping to roll up to his feet in time for whatever follow up the Slamazon had in mind...
