Akane Saito vs. JJ

Match Type: Standard

JJ was getting changed in the locker room, trying to think of how she could improve upon her debut effort. She gave it her all but fell short. Tonight her intensity was not going to waiver at all. JJ was going to leave it all out there and this time win a match in front of an AFW crowd. Trying to stay positive JJ began to head towards the gorilla position.

As her music began to play JJ came out and waved to the crowd, running her hands through her hair and swaying her hips a bit as she strut her way down the ramp towards the ring. JJ was feeling it and wanted to exude confidence for the crowd and her opponent. JJ climbed each turnbuckle and pumped her fists in the air, slapping herself in the chest as she tried to show that she had already shaken off her disappointing debut loss.

JJ jumped down and bounced around on her feet in the ring waiting to see Akane, hoping to jump right out and control the match at the opening bell.

Akane Saito:

Akane made her way out onto the stage, hands on her hips, chest puffed out. She may have had some bad luck up until now, but she was sure things would get better. After all, every loss was a chance for improvement, and she had been doing a whole lot of one of those things. Regarding of the rocky road she took to get here, her Indomitable spirit persisted as she fearlessly walked the ramp towards the ring.

She took the last few feet in strides, hopping up to throw herself up onto the apron sideways, rolling beneath the bottom rope. She rose to a crouch before popping up to her feet, to stand before JJ. She sized the other woman up, giving an approving nod at her choice of attire. She really dug all the little dangling frills… perhaps she should do something like that.

It looked as though the other woman was facing to go, so Akane wasted no time either. Slipping into her grappling stance, she waited for the bell. The moment it rang out, she charged forward, throwing her arms out to attempt to lock horns with her opponent.

JJ watched as Akane came out and she nodded to her. "Good luck!" JJ said as she saw Akane crouching and wasting no time getting into a grappling stance. JJ did the same and as the bell rang she let out a shout rushing in to lock up with Akane, looking to outright use her speed and strength to force Akane back into the corner!

JJ was a very balanced competitor in the ring at least physically. She could take punishment, move well and had power. Sure her lack of in-ring experience was proving to be her undoing but right now she was all in on trying to crush Akane against the corner leaving her in prime position for hard, short-range strikes!

"You too." Akane flashed JJ a smirk as she wiggled her fingers in preparation for locking up. Both women charged in, eager to start things off right, clamping down a collar and elbow lock when they butter heads in the middle of the ring. Though their surge had been a stalemate, once they had been locked in it was clear who between the two of them was stronger. The pink haired girl was giving it a good effort, thin arms flaring with delicate muscle, her boots digging into the canvas as she tried to tried forward. JJ was steady forcing her back, almost making her look like she was moonwalking at this point.

Before she knew it, Akane found herself in the corner, pressed firm to the turnbuckles. It was only then that she surrendered her grip on their lock up, just shoving at the other woman's shoulder to try and budge her just a little bit. This was a terrible place to be, everyone knew that. "Okay… a bit too close." The pink haired girl strained under JJ's grip, trying to bring her boot up to brace it against her opponent's midsection, trying to shove her back.

JJ felt herself shoved back back the kick, stumbling and doubled over. She grit her teeth and lunged back at Akane looking to hammer her into the corner with a clothesline against the turnbuckle!

JJ was not messing around and after her last match she was trying to keep focused without losing sight of her opponent. That bit her in her last match and she did not want to repeat that mistake!

"Ha!" Leaning her back into the turnbuckle, gave her a solid foundation to push off. Sure enough, with a well placed boot she had forced JJ away. It was no time to celebrate though as she stepped away from the corner, bringing up her arms with the intention of grappling with her reeling opponent. Just as she laid hands on her though, the other woman surged forward with renewed vigor, ramming into the lithe girl with all her muscle. The clubbing clothesline took the pink haired girl by surprise, sending her backwards into the corner with a hard impact on the cushioned turnbuckles, enough to shake the ropes.

Unsurprising to no one, Akane still didn't want to be trapped here. She brought her hands up, trying to grasp at the sides of JJ's head to keep the other woman steady, the space between them uncomfortably close. With a twist of her hip, she sent her knee up to try and catch her in the stomach in her desperate bid to escape the corner.

"Oomph!" JJ was surprised by the knee strike, again stumbling back doubled over. This time she didn't follow up right away. JJ winced and kept her distance, her eyes on Akane. "Come on! Come on Akane show me what you can do!" JJ shouted to her goading her out away from the corner. JJ was going to have to change up her tactics and abandon brawling with Akane in the corner. She would have time to treat her like a punching bag later but for now she had other things in mind.

Akane leaned back into the turnbuckles as JJ retreated even at a distance, the other woman was cutting off her options by blocking an easy route back to the center of the ring. So rather than go around… she would go through! From their brief opening, she knew the woman had more muscle than her, which was no real surprise. That meant she had to get creative. She hopped herself up, stepping up from the bottom then the middle rope, dropping down into a crouch.

"I'll show you. Have a whole eyeful!" With a small bounce, she sprang from the corner, shipping herself around to throw her perky backside right towards JJ's face with a big flying hip bump.

JJ saw Akane setting up something and she readied herself. Once Akane flew back JJ reached out to grab her around the waist and leaned back using Akane's own momentum against her! "You are a crafty one aren't ya but I got tricks too!" JJ said as she grabbed and leaned back turning the hip attack into a German suplex as JJ put everything she had into the counter to give it as much impact as possible!

Akane hurled herself backwards from the corner, her backside a registered deadly weapon… in her mind. She couldn't see JJ readying herself so when the opportunity her woman snatch her out of the air, she let out a mousey scream like someone who had just been jumpscared. With no time to really react, her momentum married JJ's force to bear fruits, planting the pink haired girl firmly into the mat with a thunderous slam.

Folded up onto her head and shoulders, Akane's innate flexibility was on full display embarrassing display as her backside hung in the air and her legs draped just past her chest. It was clear of directed, she could indeed touch her toes.
