Transitional Period (Open RP)

"Men's boxing, maybe. Women's, notsomuch." She shrugged - no denying, it was a man's world. At least as far as the paycheck was concerned. With the AFW, though, things were pretty much equal - hell, since they got paid more to win and the woman won more than the men, it was actually a bit lopsided overall, she reasoned. Not that it mattered to her at this point - she needed a win, first.

"Yeah, I know what you mean...sort of." She rubbed her head. "Getting the flow for the matches is a big problem, too - it's just weird, all over. I liked the sound the DDT, though - quick moves, easy to set up from the standing, nice and simple, but effective. Something I can work in easy with a good combination."

Steven *Face-palmed* Himself, feeling a bit embarrassed at the obvious answer to his simple question, duh!. " Oh y-yeah, sorry my bad. I forgot about that, it was male boxing that attracts all the cash and what not-heheheh silly me."

Steven nodded as Carmen talked out a bit " Mhm I know what you mean, your still getting the hang of it, changing from boxing to wrestling can be a bit tricky but I think youll get the hang of it in no time, umm well I was hoping you could be up for a small spar....well its sort of a small wrestling challenge. I get to put you in a submission move and you have to escape, if you cant and submit thats a win for me but if you break the hold then its a win for you, or vice versa. Good way to practice for both wrestlers I-I mean unless you already have plans to work out, if you do I could just go back to my stuff and ill let you continue what you were doing" he asked , looking rather hopeful.

"Tch, don't worry about it, kid. World is the way the world is, not gonna bitch too much on it." She waved it off, then raised an eyebrow on his challenge - it was an interesting idea, a good way for her to bring in some new moves and experience them firsthand - she wasn't looking forward to the pain, but whatever it took, she'd take. Besides, the kid was kind of cute, like a lost puppy. Couldn't say no to that.

"Sure, sounds fun." She eased up and move into her fighting stance, hands moving between a clench and open fist, switching seamlessly. "Don't go easy on me, okay?"

"Hah! I guess that's a good way to look at things done in the world" he replied with a wide, cute and innocent smile. Being only 19 he didn't know how the world works but was happy to agree with Carmen anyways. Moving onto the sparring challenge, his smile quickly turned into a rather serious facial expression as he saw Carmen take up position.

"Alright, the idea here is that one wrestler gets to improve his/her submission skill and the other his/her countering and escaping ability. So, you gotta let me put you in a hold willingly like for example" he said as he slowly move towards her and got behind her "stay still" he said before moving close to her back and raising his arm to wrap it around her neck from behind." So, the move I'm choosing is a sleeperhold..............." he said as he wrapped his arms around her neck tightly now beginning to squeeze a bit harder in the submission hold before jumping up and wrapping his legs around her waist as well, finishing his sentence ".........and body scissor combo" he smirked as he locked in both holds now. Carmen was both bigger in height and weight so Steven rode her back, squeezing hard on both holds as his priority was to get her down on the ring canvas, where the move would be much more effective. "Ngh-grrrrrrr urghhh! Give up?" He hissed in her ear as he poured on the pressure in both holds, trying to get her down as well. His front stuck tight against her back.

She 'stood still' and let him get behind her, let her bring his arms around her neck and fought the impulse to just clonk him in the side and break out - hard to get use to someone violating her personal space and not doing something extremely violent to prevent it. She had the good sense to take a deep breath before he locked it in, though, and with good reason he locked on the choke and complimented it with a body scissor, crushing him in two places - quite powerful, incredibly strong, something she could get used to using. Now, though, she was more interested in getting off.

If he wanted to get her down, she'd give it to him - she dropped down hard on her back, sandwiching him into the canvas and shoot her elbow back to hit his ribs.

Steven gritted his teeth as he kept both holds locked in tight, his biceps and thigh muscles bulging while he continued to squeez in both holds."grrrrrrrrrr! NYA! -" for a moment Steven rode his opponents back until she leaned backwards and they drop down onto the ring canvas on their backs, Stevens back hits hard against the ring mats with his opponent laying on top of him *THUD*.

"N-not bad! He grimaced, but continued to squeeze hard in both holds and now shaking her body left right as well. He felt an elbow strike hard against his ribs as he moaned out loud momentarily loosening his holds, he knew he couldn't take a couple more of those and will have to break the hold. Still he has glad he was safe from her deadly boxing punches. Steven tried to shift to his right side, so there bodies would be laying sideways as he looks to trap Carmens right arm under her own body. "Ah! Give up yet?" He said trying to tighten both holds again.

The guy had a tight hold, but if he thought that was all it would take to keep Carmen down, he was underestimating one thing - the legendary Rodriguez stubbornness.

She planted her feet hard on the mat and lifted up, bring his body down with her...then jerked back down, slamming him back into the floor and swinging her head back to try and crack him in the face. She followed it up with even more elbows to his side, alternating from left to right in slow, methodical fashion, making sure to target the same areas, over and over, again and again, like she was driving in nails with each blows.

Steven continued to squeeez harder and harder in the sleeper and body scissor combo, really jerking her body down and shaking her body up left-right to tire her out. His body started to sweat a bit as Carmen continued to struggle and resist.

He kept the hold locked on without trouble UNTIL Carmen suddenly found her second wind, she used her strength to get back up and then go down on her back again, sandwiching steven again on his back *THUD* " Urghhh Gah! damn" he hissed out as it was like riding a bull now! with the way she struggled to get him off her. He felt a hard headbutt strike hard against his head,causing him to further loosen his hold, he got pretty pissed off as he gritted his teeth and tightened the hold to his max again " SUBMIT" he shouted out but a few hard elbows to his sides again and again caused him to loosen his hold and eventually his sweaty arms break off her neck and his legs slide off her body as well, he breaks the hold thinking not to go too intense in this spar....." Geeez! WOW....your good" he says, Carmen is still laying on top of him but his holds are no longer locked in, he taps her shoulders " Ok ok, you got out! so you win this round, nice one!" he said with a smiling face, impressed by her alot.

It was good he let go, too, because she was starting to reach the end of her rope - the minute he released her, she rolled to the side and hacked, sucking in as much air as she could, getting her heart back on the right track. He was young, sure, but he seemed to know his way around holds pretty well, and he sure as hell didn't lack for energy - she was only 28, but Carmen couldn't help but wonder if her age and all the fights were catching up to her a bit. Sooner or later, they always do - she'd just hoped it would be later. Much later.

She shook her head and made it up to one knee. "Nice, nice - reminds me..." She wiped the saliva from her mouth. "Tried something similar to that with a friend of mine in a play fight, a couple of weeks back, though I didn't, ah-" She rubbed her neck, thinking back to her special time with Kurohime. "Eh, nevermind, forget I said that."

She coughed, then grabbed a rope for support as she stood all the way up. "Okay, next round - what else you got?"

Steven was surprised and rather amazed at how Carmen was able to keep up with his holds and rather impressively escape the hold with her technique. He knew he was young and thought hed had much more stamina than her but in the end both wrestlers were taking a few moments to catch their breathes, beads of sweat shined off Stevens body as he moved towards the corner turnbuckle and grabbed his water bottle and took a sip from that.

" Huh? play fight " title="Razz" /> ooohh with whom-Umm? ok I guess if you dont wanna talk about it" Steven said as Carmen was quick to drop that conversation. He moved towards Carmen, face to face when she asked the question on whats next. " Well, get ready for round 2" he said standing right in front of her, taking a few moments to just stare into her eyes, perhaps trying to intimidate her or just a show of respect.

"R-right next is......erm, put your hands by your sides please" he said, Once she did as what he had told her to do, he would try to wrap his arms around her body, trapping her arms as well as he looked to squeeeeeeeeeeeez his arms as tightly as he could around her body " Next is.....the Bearhug" he moaned, their bodies stuck tight as he continued to squeeez out hard,his fists digging into her back as he squeezed, his teeth gritted as he is determined to win this time, even though its a spar-thing " Give up?" he moaned
