A dark and stormy night...

It was a good fifteen minutes before Ran moved again.

That time was spent laying on the bed, staring up at the ceiling and trying her hardest not to have a heart attack. It was proving remarkably difficult. Her mind knew that Jackie was gone, that she'd made her threat and wouldn't be coming back, but it was having a hard time convincing her body of all that.

When she finally worked up the strength to move, she went back to the fridge and fished her phone out with the broom handle, then popped it on and gave Patty a call. It took some real effort to keep her voice still and solid

"Patty?" She let out a deep, deep breath. "Yeah, it's me...look, we've got a problem..."
