Unburning Bridges

Amy could hear the reluctance, however slight, in Drake's voice, but hey, it wasn't a no, right? Amy smiled. The next time they fought, Amy would be happy to show that Drake's renewed trust in her was not misplaced; not that Drake would be able to get her in a position compromising enough that she'd have to tap, but if he did, she'd prove herself.

Then Amy raised an eyebrow. "Is that how you've been pinning people? Listen, I'm new at this, and you're a pro and whatever, but if you ever get me in a pin, do not squeeze me. I repeat: Do. Not. Squeeze. Me."

Then her expression returned to normal. "I want to meet your girlfriend. We're going to have to set up a playdate." She settled in against Drake's body, but kept her eyes on his face; Amy liked how Drake looked when he talked about Julia. She balanced her blueberry froyo on her knee and took a spoonful; she was really glad that she'd texted him today. "Tell me more about Julia, Skip."
