Higurashi Dojo-Taylor Parker & Julia Rogers vs. Jessica Wright & River Styx

Taylor was nearly overcome with excitement with Julia's reversal, so much so that she nearly lost her footing on the apron and would've toppled off had she not caught the ropes. "YEAH!" Taylor screamed. She jumped up and down and shook her fists. "YEAH, JULIA!"

She put two fingers in her mouth and blew a piercing whistle and cheered and clapped her hands. "SHOW 'EM WHAT YOU GOT!"

Jessica had never been to Mexico. She never particularly wanted to go, either. She had wrestled in every single dingy high school gym in the midwest and occasionally she went up against a luchadora. The Violent Violet categorically hated them and there stupid fucking jumping nonsense. Jessica hated this Julia bitch even more- this was supposed to be Jessica's coming out party and Julia was using her stupid flying shit to take Jessica down.

And down Jessica went. Julia perfectly contorted herself and brought the titaness down to the white canvas. The Violent Violet let out a loud grunt and stayed down for a hot second. The surprise and the pain didn't allow her to simply bounce right back up. A few inchoate curses formed in her throat as she tried to collect herself.

Styx ran a hand over her smooth head and kept her breathing controlled. Somehow, miraculously, she managed to keep herself from charging into the ring and booting Julia in the face. It wasn't easy, especially now that she was pulling out the tricks and getting comfortable. Danika had used similar moves when they fought a few months back, and she knew how quick that could get out of hand. The sooner they put the brakes on her momentum, the better.

She looked back at the crowd as they started to rally up, watching at their heroine started to work over the big, bad villainess. "Yeah, okay." Styx muttered under breath and turned back to her parter. She slammed her fist into the turnbuckle, trying to get Jessica's attention. She didn't say anything, but the hardened look in her eyes spoke for her. Get up.

Almost in the blink of an eye, Julia had seemingly turned the early tides of this bout and dispelled her bad fortune. She felt like she was starting to get into a rhythm now, especially after managing to reverse Jessica’s hip toss into an arm drag, tossing her foe down to the mat.

This time as Julia sprung back up, Jessica wasn’t as quick to do so. Hearing a loud thump over in one of the corners, and briefly glanced over to see a less than pleased River Styx glaring into the ring. Between Taylor’s enthusiastic screaming and River’s frustration, Julia couldn’t help but grin.

“See that, Taylor? Someone’s already gettin’ worried over there. Must not have too much faith in her partner, huh?” she called out to Taylor, though it was quite clear the point was to throw River’s taunting words from moments ago right back at her. Although, she was still focused on Jessica, and quickly then moved right over to the downed girl.

She reached down to grab one of Jessica’s arms and would then pull her back up, before turning and attempting to send her into one of the empty corners with an irish whip.

Jessica paid the price for not hopping up quickly. A rough hand was applied to her arm and summoned her up from the mat. Before long she was headed straight into one of the empty corners. The Violent Violet managed to turn around before crashing. She knew what was coming next. Some stupid flying bullshit. Maybe if she was quick enough to avoid it or counter it, she could make it to her corner and get River in on the action.

The crowd cheered. Her own heart was pumping. Jessica had always been one for steely resolve and she needed that here. But this girl was fast... lightning fast. Jessica grimaced and tried to weather whatever was coming next.

After whipping Jessica off into the corner, Julia didn’t waste any time. She was on a roll, and was fully intent on making sure she stayed that way for as long as possible! The cowgirl took a couple quick steps back, then hopped into a sprint and fired off like a bullet heading straight for the Violent Violet at full speed.

Once most of the distance between her and her target had been closed, Julia would then leap forward and throw her legs out, aiming to blast Jessica right in the chest with a big dropkick. Her intention was to blast as much air out of the veteran’s sails as possible, and hopefully make it even more difficult for Jessica to mount a counterattack.

Jessica guessed what was coming in the back of her head. Julia was a highflyer and she was going to fly right at Jessica. The resonating footsteps and positive roar of the crowd would have informed her if her own eyes failed. Luckily they did not. Jessica fully appraised the cowgirl. She thundered towards Jessica like a herd of broncos over the plain and this was one bull Jessica did not particularly want to be impaled by.

The Violent Violet's body tensed. She lacked the time to plan a proper counter but she was still a veteran of the ring and knew what was coming. While no one had ever confused her for a speedster she had sheer reflexes going for her. Every single last fast twitch nerve in her body was on display there, as she made one bid to dart to the side, out of the way of the flying kick. And if she was a tad slow, well, that would make this match considerably harder to win.

Julia’s opted tactic might not have been the most subtle or unpredictable, but just from looking at Jessica’s worn down and cornered form, the cowgirl felt pretty confident she could hit a bullseye here. Her feet left the mat and the luchadora took flight. But alas, her boots failed to find their target. Instead the underside of her legs hit against one of the top ropes, giving her airborne form a little tilt before she plummeted down on the back of her head and neck.

“Agh! Shit!” she cursed out while writhing as pain surged through her neck and head. Julia’s eyes slammed shut and grimaced, and her hands moved to try to nurse the wounded spot as much as possible. But right now, her train of momentum had been stopped dead in its tracks. And more importantly for the Violent Violet, Jessica’s last second dive had bought her some much needed room to breathe.

Jessica was on the ground as well. Her last second dive was nearly too late- she felt the air get sucked by her as Julia's mighty kick came up short. But she was fine, more or less, and her chest was very much intact. The Violent Violet got up and scrambled to her corner. All her momentum had come to a grinding halt, as had Julia's. Maybe River could spice things up a bit, like she tended to do.

"Time to come off the sidelines honey..." Jessica reached up and waited for the hand to tag her back. Hell, if the ref wasn't watching, maybe Jessica could hop in and get another hit in herself. That was quite a plan...

"Fucking finally."

Styx had been gripping the ropes tight, chomping at the bit to get into the fight and do some damage. Jessica wasn't doing a bad job, but she was coming at Julia from an orthodox angle, sticking with a traditional wrestling style. Styx felt the little luchadora required a more pragmatic approach.

She slapped Jessica's hand and slipped in through the top and middle rope as the crowd joined in a chorus of boos, complimented by quite a few 'Styx tapped out' signs. She barely noticed. Instead, she was looking towards Taylor, staring straight at her as she closed in on the cowgirl. Styx gave the New Yorker a little smile, like they were just two people passing by on the street, and tapped the tip of her own nose. "Bing."

Styx took a few quick steps over to Julia, brought her foot up, and stomped down hard onto her taut stomach, leaning in to make sure her size 13s hit with a good bulk of her weight behind them. She kept it there after the impact, grinding her into the mat.
