Lukretia's Groupie (After Lukretia vs. Sarah Gatt)

Cardia stumbled back from the slap and fell to the ground after the trip, moaning softly. She didn't even notice Hilde come in, still so dazed from the beating Lukretia had given her. Groaning softly, after Lukretia left, Cardia would stand up, "I... I'm okay."

Now that Lukretia was gone and Hilde was here, she felt a bit more confidence, "You're fine, it's okay." She cradled Hilde, helping her up and dusting off the footprints from Hilde's clothes. "Lukretia... she took a sledgehammer and a chair blow and all kinds of damage from this crazy bitch in the ring." She sighed, quickly popping over to the sink to get some water and down some aspirin as well as pocketing the rest of her medical supplies. She laughed, "Heh, almost as crazy as her."

She sighed, "H-Hilde... the match was a draw. Lukretia is... is furious. You... you better stay clear of her." She embraced Hilde gently. Their relationship brought out Cardia's more protective, sisterly side. Whereas Lukretia was imposing and harsh, Hilde was pleasant and welcoming, giving Cardia confidence in turn.

Hilde also tried to help Cardia up. She brushed herself off and looked to see if Lukretia was gone. She leaned in and gave Cardia a quick peck on the lips and smiled. "I'm her sister. I have to be there for her no mater what." She said. She then smiled half heartedly and turned her head. "I should be saying that to you. You don't need to be around her when she is like this. She will hurt you and unlike usual she will not only not care but probably enjoy it. I don't want that for you."

She then inhaled deeply. "But if you really are that stubborn..." She reached up and knocked on Cardia's head gently with her knuckles, sticking her tongue out in a goofy manner. "Then we had better hurry. She isn't joking when she says we'll have to walk home." She then turned and ran to try and catch up with Lukretia.

Cardia quickly checked herself in the mirror to see that she was still presentable, "Heh, it isn't like I drove here with Lukretia anyway... That said, I am that stubborn. After seeing what Lukretia took from that crazy bitch in the ring... well, I got my ass kicked by her before... the crazy bitch... the one that ISN'T Lukretia." She smiled at Hilde to let her know she spoke in jest, "I don't care how tough Lukretia is, she has to be hurting. I know how hard that Sarah girl hits... I want to be there for her just as much as you do." She turned back, smiling at Hilde, running up to give her a quick hug.

She seemed to pull away, but stopped, continuing to hug Hilde, "She... hit me... a lot earlier," she stammered, her confidence giving way, "She wanted to... know why I... why I keep trying to get close to her." Cardia sniffled softly, "I gave her an answer... but... I don't know... I just don't know..." Her hand clenched the back of Hilde's dress softly as Cardia pulled her tighter for comfort. "I can't leave her... I can't leave you, either." She looked up at Hilde with damp eyes, "A... Am I... mentally ill?"

Hilde turned around, feeling Cardia press against her. She stopped and tilted her head back, knowing that Cardia needed to be comforted in her own way, just like Lukretia. She tilted her head against Cardia's and then turned around and took her hand.

She grabbed it and kissed it and then pulled Cardia with her, walking with her through the arena, not caring if people saw them holding hands. It was a perfectly common scene in the AFW arena but even so it may cause some problems. Hilde didn't care at the moment.

"Look around you." Hilde said softly. "I don't think you're any worse off than anyone here." She smiled. "The AFW seems to collect people who are searching for things. Who crave things that they might not understand. If you're looney then the rest of us are too." She turned her head and smiled. She didn't know if Cardia would take it as she intended but she hoped she would. "I'm glad you are you because I like you and if you were anyone else then I wouldn't be..." She couldn't help herself allowed a laugh. "I wouldn't be dragging you to face certain destruction at the hands of my sister who not only hates me but is furious beyond belief.... because we both know she needs us even if she won't admit it."

Cardia gave Hilde a warm smile as she comforted her, "You... you are so sweet." She planted a soft kiss on Hilde's cheek. "Don't worry... I'm sure if Lukretia divides up her beatings between the two of us, we can take whatever she throws." She quickened her pace, still holding Hilde's hand tightly, "Shall we?"

Hilde gave a small smile and squeezed Cardia's hand. She then began to hurriedly pull Cardia through the arena to the parking lot. She heaved a sigh as she saw the porter just opened the door for Lukretia. Hilde nudged Cardia forward and followed behind her into the car, sitting opposite of Lukretia. As the car began driving, Lukretia said nothing, not even looking at either of them. "The doctor is waiting at the house mistress." Hilde said quietly. Lukretia didn't respond and if Cardia said nothing the rest of the car ride would continue in silence.

((Once again, the smart thing to do is also the uninteresting thing to do. I almost feel sorry for Cardia, but then I realize that the glee with which I write this abusive relationship probably says a lot about me... The fact that my first defense would be "Well, I identify with Cardia in this little fantasy and not Lukretia..." probably says a LOT more. >_<))

Cardia sat nervously in the car, looking back and forth between the sisters, expecting someone to break the awkward silence. She opened her mouth several times, things she thought to say petering out before she found the courage to say them. Finally, she managed to speak, "L-Lukretia, I know f-f-firsthand how hard Sarah Gatt hits... Please, are you sure you're alright?"

(Hehe I totally understand)Hilde smiled as unnoticeably as she could when she saw Cardia's many attempts to speak she knew Cardia would try and cheer Lukretia up if she could. She also knew Cardia knew she had to make sure she had to speak carefully. When the words finally came out, Hilde's eyes widened and her head tried desperately to say no but it only swiveled unnoticeably. Lukretia's eyes did the opposite of Hilde's and narrowed. "She hits like a baby wearing boxing gloves. you're just a veakling who cannot take a punch." She spat venomously. "Ze only thing she has going for her is zat her head is full of bricks vich explains her uncouth vays." The car stopped at their home and Lukretia stepped out, not waiting for the porter. She then leaned in and looked at the two. "Ze two of you vill be in your wrestling attire und vaiting for of in ze gym vile I am vith ze doktor." Lukretia then slammed the door and stormed into the house.

Cardia pursed her lips at Lukretia's comment, Lukretia's treatment of her concern once again spurring her attitude. Still, she said nothing, at least until after Lukretia had shut the door again, "So, do you ALWAYS get knocked out by babies with boxing gloves?" she hissed.

((I kinda want Lukretia to hear that but only if you think it wouldn't completely detonate the plot. " title="Wink" /> ))

With a sigh, she would turn to Hilde, "Wait... wrestling attire? I... You..." She stammered, looking quizzically at Hilde, a half dozen questions once again colliding in her mouth, preventing her from saying anything but making what she meant to ask Hilde more or less obvious.

The door suddenly opened once more and Lukretia furiously reached out and grabbed Cardia's jaw and squeezed it tightly. "Tell me how many chairs und hammers you could take. I'll remind you zat even after she hit me vith ze hammer I vas still conscious. You're on thin ice right now, I vouldn't push it." She slammed Cardia's head back as hard as she could and slammed the door once more. Hilde watched the scene with wide fearful eyes. Her hands instantly went to Cardia. "Are you ok?" She said quickly. "you shouldn't goad her like that." she sighed and kissed Cardia's cheek. "When she is mad she will say and do things she knows will hurt." Hilde hoped Cardia understood that she only had Cardia's well being in mind "I don't want to see you hurt like that." She then sighed. "There's another reason she didn't just ignore you. She wants you mad so you won't hold back when we fight her..." Hilde lowered her head in shame and squeezed Cardia's hand nervously.
