The British Bombshells H3bPXK6

Tag Team Wrestling Information

Strategy: Frequent tags and on-the-spot improvisation, in order to shore up for one another's individual weaknesses.  Holly wears down opponents with fundamentals, while Gemma tries to keep her from getting too worn/beaten down.  With Holly a technical wrestler and Gemma a high-flyer, the both of them try to set one another up for moves.

Style:  Primariy focus on crowd-pleasing spots and playing to their audience.  They also have a contrast of character, with Gemma being the more "fun," eccentric risk-taker of the pair while Holly is a bit posh and far more traditional in her wrestling style.

Preferred Attacks:

Preferred Matches:  Basic tag matches are preferred, but both can be talked into taking on riskier, more experimental match-ups.

Difficulty level: Easy to moderate.

Team Finisher, "Top of the Pops":  With Holly on the inside, she'll tag Gemma.  As Gemma takes to the top rope, Holly hooks her opponent for a high-angle german suplex.  At the apex of the lift, however, Gemma will come off the turnbuckle to catch their victim with a diving leg lariat, timed to land on the mat as Holly completes the suplex.  Holly then rolls out of the ring, and Gemma can make the cover.

Team Background:
The British Bombshells are a tag team formed out of serendipity.  Gemma Faraday, longtime Friction wrestler from Blackpool, had been looking for ways to turn her humiliating win/loss record around.  Holly Matheson had come out to a strong debut, but the level of competition in Tension was proving to be something she couldn't keep pace with, due to inexperience.  And both young women had been struggling with the finding a "home" for themselves on the roster.  Holly's boyfriend Blanco was her only friend in Tension, while Gemma's sometimes abrasive personality made finding lasting friendships difficult.
Running into one another by pure coincidence at MacIrish's, a small novelty pub not far from the AFW campus, the pair struck up a fast friendship over their common, British background (which may or may not have been expedited by alcohol, but that is beside the point).  Upon the insistence of Gato Blanco, the pair began working out with one another, even sparring a few times.  It didn't take long to sink in that both young women could shore up one another's perceived weaknesses: Holly, a more practical and sound grappler bringing more strength, while Gemma added the bold flair and experienced acrobatics that would help drive their matches.
The only problem, it seemed, was that cracks in the friendship were beginning to show more frequently.  It seemed that outside of a few superficial commonalities, some severe differences in temperament put the British  Bombshells at odds just as often as they were working together, in training!  Incidents during practice sparring would range from evading tags, to heated arguments in the middle of a session.
Still, they persist.  Both girls seem to feel as though one another are their best bets at turning around what have been rather difficult careers, thus far.  Can they overcome their infighting and squabbling to reach the heights of tag team glory?  Or will they leave their partnership as one another's most bitter enemies?

TAG TEAM RECORD
Matches- 2
Wins- 0
Losses- 2

Matches
The Hoots d. The British Bombshells: The British Bombshells make their tag team debut, facing off against The Hoots. The Brits make the mistake of underestimating their opponents, however, and their bit debut ends up more humiliating than they possibly could have guessed!

Jessica Wright & River Styx d. The British Bombshells via pinfall: Gemma and Holly have the "brilliant" idea to avenge their earlier tag team loss by issuing an open challenge to the locker room. When the ones answering the call are WAR's Jessica Wright and River Styx, however, the British Bombshells find themselves woefully beneath the task.
