Peggy McIntyre vs. Lita

Peggy saw Lita coming and braced herself, only for Lita to back off. she shook her head and was a bit confused by the tactic. Peggy was about to lunge in when she saw Lita make her move. Thankfully as worn out as Peggy was she was still fast, and her mind was still with it even if she had sustained a good deal of punishment so far.

Peggy stepped back, moving her forearms in place to block! It still hurt like hell, but much less than it would otherwise!

Lita was able to be on target, however Peggy managed to prevent herself from taking all of it, getting a block up in time. Both Lita and Lina had a feeling if that wasn’t the case the kick would have had enough behind it to take Peggy back down, but alas she was still standing.

That did bother Lita a little bit, though she tried to shake the thought off quickly and continue the offensive. With Peggy’s forearms having blocked the kick strike Lita looked to strike below the recent blocking point with a double palm strike to the chest.

Peggy saw Lita moving in and lunging as she tried to keep hammering away at Peggy. Instead of standing there Peggy hopped back as Lita lunged in leaving her over extended. Peggy planted one foot and lashed out with the other trying to plant Lita in the abdomen with a stiff toe kick.

“Urgh” Lina commented, not liking where things were going as Peggy managed to avoid Lita’s follow up strike completely and retaliate with a toe kick that Lita wasn’t expecting. It sent her back a little bit and to a knee momentarily.

Seeing where Lita was, Lina wanted to say something to her, but before she could process a direct thought Lita acted on her own and would lunge forward towards Peggy’s legs, looking for a takedown. As Lita made her move Lina looked a little bit shocked, not expecting that action from her at this point.

Peggy moved in on Lita, ready to keep up her momentum. However, Lita had other ideas. Peggy groaned as she fell back, landing flat on her back.

Peggy knew she was in trouble if Lita got back on the offensive. Peggy began lashing out trying to kick Lita off of her.

On the plus side Lita’s takedown attempt which looked to Lina to be an act of somewhat desperation worked out for her, however what would come after that she didn’t have in mind just yet as she was simply looking to get out of the current position. On the down side before she could follow up Peggy began lashing away.

It didn’t take Peggy too long to get Lita off of her. “Come on Lita get your head back in there” Lina told her after Lita was off of Peggy, wanting her to get back on track. Lita knew what Lina was saying, but her thoughts were slightly clouded. She didn’t want Peggy to get too much time to herself so she moved back in and went for a quick knee drop. Inside of running in and just quickly dropping it she was anticipating Peggy move out of the way and get back up so she made her move hoping Peggy would move into it and take the knee rough. Lita hoped she guessed right, otherwise she’d miss her target completely.

Peggy rolled to the far side away from Lita and narrowly missed the knee drop! Breathing a sigh of relief Peggy knew she couldn't waste time rising to her feet.

She got up as quickly as her hurting body would allow and lunged in to try to tie up Lita in a grapple!

It was close, but not close enough as Peggy got out of way of it in time and Lita kneed nothing but canvas. "Fuck it!" she wasn't pleased with not only not hitting the intended target but it stinging momentarily. She did manage to recover from it and when she got back up saw Peggy coming at her, for a rare and unexpected mid-match grapple...well, maybe not mid match, this one looked far from over, but the timing of it did seem unorthodox from what Lina could see.

It took Lita a moment to get into it and grapple back, though with the sudden of it Peggy would have a couple of seconds or so of Lita feeling loose, which she would firm her arm positioning if Peggy wasn't able to act on the advantage she had quick enough.

Peggy could feel that Lita wasn't quite ready for the grapple, and that suited Peggy just fine! She would try to ram her knee into Lita's abdomen and grab her arms in a double underhook. Peggy took a deep breath, trying to lift Lita up, dangle her upside down a bit then bring Lita crashing down to the ring via a double underhook suplex to try to keep her momentum going.

"Come on Lita you're better than this!" Lina called out as Lita was kneed and taken down with the double underhook. While Lina was one to note that the way Peggy took Lita over and down with it looked good, it was more of a concern of how Lita was at the moment. And from the looks of things with Lita laying on her back, it wasn't a preferred sight to be seen...at least on their side of things. As far as Lita went, a moment or so after impact she blinked a couple of time. She could hear Lina's voice, but was attempting to process her own positioning.
