No, the beginning of Julie O'Reilly's career at AFW had not been very good. The Spunky Irish had been placed against some fierce, relentless and often rather cruel opponents, and losses had been accumulating on the amateur rookie's record. Granted, the gingerhead had guessed that a place such as AFW was going to be a tough place to compete in, but the harshness of it all had managed to still catch her off guard.

So far. Tonight was going to be different. Julie had spent the last few weeks watching carefully every single match in the AFW arena, observing incessantly how the action evolved, what kind of moves were efficient and common, and diligently thinking about what she would be doing herself, had she been in the ring instead. Consequently, she felt extremely well prepared for tonight.

Also, her opponent tonight, Loretta Sombra, was going to be having her debut. That was perfect! Surely the debutant would be feeling nervous and at least a little bit confused in the ring, probably not being at all as prepared as Julie was. Julie could show her all the moves she had been studying in the past few weeks, show everyone what she was capable of, and be this time the relative veteran to seal the rookie girl's defeat! How could that plan possibly fail, given the circumstances?

Julie O'Reilly - The Spunky Irish:

As Macklemore's Irish Celebration started blaring throughout the arena, Julie sprang into action and began running towards the ring. Waving cheerfully at the crowds, the Irish girl proceeded to jump energetically into the ring. Clad in her pink bikinish outfit and barefoot, the Spunky Irish then made sure to win over the hearts of the crowds by getting up on the ropes at each side of the ring, and blowing kisses to the fans in audience. Based on their applause, everyone was eager to witness Julie's first victory!

Settling in her corner, the Irish then turned her eyes towards the ramp to find out exactly who was going to be the poor rookie to get a taste of Julie's new moves tonight.

For the first few seconds, no music was played from the loudspeakers before the lights around the arena dimmed and fog started coming out around the ramp and entrance. An eerie music was played as a silhouette could be see within the fog before a tall woman with a black luchadora mask stepped out of the fog, wearing a gold-trimmed black robe. She strutted down the ramp confidently, approaching the ring with such swagger that indicated that she was definitely not a rookie Julie envisioned her to be.

When she was getting closer to the ring, she would take off her robe, revealing a voluptuous body clad in black, revealing bikini. She seemed to be wearing a pair of black fighting gloves as well as thigh-high leather boots. Stripping herself off the robe, she would walk down the ramp and approached the ring, heaving herself up the apron and rolling herself under the ropes in order to enter the ring.

Loretta Sombra:

While Loretta was relatively unknown compared to other wrestlers in AFW, with this being her first televised appearance, there were people who recognized her from her previous appearances in smaller promotions in Japan as well as in Mexico, and as a result, one could hear resounding boos from the crowd. Being the type of person she was, Loretta just smirked, somehow relishing the jeers raining upon her.

She took a look at her Irish opponent, and simply put, she was rather unimpressed. Placing her hands on her hips, she approached the girl, thrusting her own huge, bosomy chest forward and glowered at Julie. All to make herself more intimidating to the girl before her. "Hmmm... a pity, I expected a better challenge for my debut match in AFW, but I suppose you'll do." She showed Julie a wide, evil smile. "Prepare to be destroyed, girl?"

As always, there were good and bad news when one could see their opponent coming down the ramp and into the ring. Good news were that Loretta was hot. Very hot. Her curvy and strong body looked stunning in her wrestling outfit, and it would be all Julie's for the match.

Unfortunately, that's where the good news ended. The bad news section was much more extensive.

Based on all the hype, the fog, the boos and the confidence, Loretta was most probably not a complete rookie in the ring. It was evident that she had done this thing before, and likely had more experience than Julie had envisioned her to. She was also much bigger - despite her tall, voluptuous and strong figure being very hot, to Julie that had to also count as bad news. The size and strength advantage was going to be something Julie would have to overcome somehow, and the Irish could guess that to be very difficult as she was staring at Loretta's body right in front of her. But the worst news were her attitude and character. It was quickly becoming apparent that Loretta would be exactly the kind of cruel and harsh opponent, that Julie had really wanted to avoid for now. And the mask wasn't making her feel any easier at all...

After Loretta's words, Julie gulped. For a brief moment it was obvious that the redhead was scared. But then she remembered that fear was something one should never show! Instead, she should tell herself to be confident, and act like it! Loretta might have been a tougher opponent than what Julie had been aspiring for, but she had done all her homework, right? She knew now how to handle mean opponents like her, right?

Besides, she could always fake her confidence.

"Oh... Destroyed...? .... Better challenge, huh?" Julie started as she was slowly starting to come up with words to say. "Well... I'll destroy you, if you want it so bad!" Trying to sound confident, as she stared Loretta right into the eyes. "You don't know me... You don't know what I am capable of!" Starting to believe in her own words, Julie decided to end up with a challenge of her own. "So, if you think you're so good then, just give me a fair fight, and I will show you what I've got! Deal?" the Irish ended with offering out her hand at Loretta to seal the deal.

Loretta smirked as she listened to what Julie had to say. Despite how self-assured those words sounded, the black-clad luchadora knew that the Irish lass was just faking it. She was looking forward to demolish her in the ring and destroy her to her heart's content.

"Brave words, but they are just words..." Loretta said, folding her arms under her ample, bikini-clad breasts as she continued looking at Julie's face while an evil smirk was still adorning her masked visage. "Let's see if you can say that again after I crush you and leave you as a lump of meat in the middle of the ring..." Loretta said.

And then, Julie somehow offered her a handshake. The luchadora almost laughed out loud, impressed by the girl's naivety. At first she looked like she was about to shake her hand, but then before she could grab her hand, Lorretta withdrew her hand, doing a fake-out before she turned around, returning to her corner to wait for the match to begin.

After Loretta's words, there was a moment when it was really, really hard for Julie to keep up the brave face. There was just something in her voice that was tearing through Julie's guts. Something that was giving the redhead the distinct feeling that her masked opponent was bad news. But still, she offered out her hand for a shake, ready to face the threatening newcomer.

Loretta never shook her hand. Instead, she decided to trick Julie before turning around towards her corner. The trick sparked a burst of anger inside the Spunky Irish, and that anger gave her a boost of confidence. If Loretta couldn't agree to play fair, she had to be scared of fighting fairly, right? Maybe she was actually faking it herself, and being scared of Julie instead?

"Ha! You don't even dare to fight fair! Your threats are empty! Completely empty!" the Irish shouted at Loretta's back, before turning around towards her own corner. Walking towards it, she was signalling the ref girl to keep an eye out on her opponent, hoping to make sure the official also understood the true nature of her nasty foe. Having the ref girl vigilant and symphatizing the redhead could prove to be vital in this match, and Julie really wished she would turn out to be so as she arrived in her corner and turned around to set her sights on Loretta again.

Loretta didn't even entertain Julie with a response as she just went to her corner, smirking all the while. Making her opponent frustrated would make this match much easier for the luchadora, and she wanted to take advantage of that. She would wait at the corner for a while before the referee signaled to both Loretta and Julie to come to the center of the ring, where she would give the two of them a brief explanation about the rules.

Once she's done, the referee would then call for the bell, starting the match. Still with a haughty smile on her face, Loretta would keep on staring at Julie, hoping to make her lose focus as she dropped into a stance, holding out her arms. It seemed that she was looking to lock up with the Irish lass, having a contest of strength.

But, she had another plan. Her plan was that the moment Julie came close and went to lock up with her, Julie would quickly withdrew her arms as she would try to deliver a nasty chop right at the Irish girl's bikini-clad chest, looking to leave a red mark on her breasts right at the start of the match.

Back in the corner, Julie had the opportunity to take a further look at Loretta on the opposite side. Trying to comprehend better how she would be acting, Julie paid close attention to her outfit again. She could tell already by her behaviour that she was a heel, and the mask spiced up her appearance even further. She was like a luchadora...and bingo! Loretta was clearly a Mexican name, right? So her style was probably going to be heavily influenced by lucha libre...

What did that actually mean for Julie then? The Irish had no answer to that. Of much concrete benefit was the fact that the referee called them both to meet up in the center of the ring for a reminder of the rules - that was a clear sign that she had understood well the threat of Loretta not respecting them.

When the bell rang, Julie was remaining alert, expecting an immediate attack by the Mexican. But that didn't happen, instead she seemed to be inviting her for a lock-up! That perplexed the redhead... Just a moment ago she hadn't agreed to play fair, but was still now ready to have a contest of strength to start things off? Even Julie wasn't that gullible...

The Spunky Irish did take a few steps forward, planning to stand right in front of Loretta while refusing the lock-up right into her face. However, the rudo had other plans. Before Julie could say anything, a stiff chop punished her chest!

"AAGHH!" Shrieking out from both surprise and pain, Julie quickly turned around. For a couple of seconds, she was frozen by shock from the chop, but then anger took over. The gingerhead tried to spin suddenly around again, hoping that Loretta was still in her place so that she could deliver a shoot kick to her midsection!

Loretta grinned when she heard Julie crying out in pain after taking the chop to her chest. But she was quick to respond to that as she went to try to deliver a kick to her midsection. Still, Loretta already anticipated this and caught the incoming kick, grabbing Julie by her foot. A sadistic smile appeared on her face as she decided to try something.

Holding the Irish lass by her ankle, Loretta would try to raise her foot higher and higher to the point where it would become uncomfortable and painful, as well as making her stand only on one foot. She wanted to see how flexible the girl was as she would raise her leg up, looking at Julie in the meantime to see whether she would fall back or try to resist the pain from having her hip joint stretched like this while standing on one foot.

The crowd would rally against the luchadora, showering her with hateful boos and jeers, and she seemed to be relishing them, enjoying every second of this.

The match had begun with Loretta acting exactly as bad as Julie had been afraid of. Clearly, the rudo was pulling no punches - or chops for that matter as she had decided to punish Julie's chest right from the start! That made the redhead boil in anger... Not only from the pain, but also from the way that she was being mean and evil, deserving to get punished! And that's exactly what the Spunky Irish tried to achieve with her kick.

Unfortunately, Loretta was not so easily surprised. The masked luchadora was ready to capture Julie's leg in her hold, rendering the gingerhead's kick ineffective. For her that was, as Loretta managed to counter the kick to be very effective for herself. She could see horror creeping onto Julie's face as she started bending it upwards, as it was becoming clear to the Spunky Irish that she had just become trapped.

If there were any good news for Julie in this situation, it was the reaction of the crowds. Clearly they were protesting against the luchadora's actions, and supporting Julie in her quest to down the newcomer.

But that wasn't really helping for now. Julie tried to bear the situation as long as practicable, but soon enough she had to get our of it. She couldn't just stand on one foot with her hip joint being tortured like that! Finally, the Spunky Irish had to fall to her back, but while doing so, she was sure to try delivering a stiff kick to the side of Loretta's thigh with the leg that had not been pulled so far.

After pulling up Julie's leg for a while, the Irish lass finally fell down onto her back, but as she fell, she delivered a stiff kick to Loretta's thigh, causing the luchadora to hiss in pain, letting go of the foot that she was holding up earlier. But now that Julie was on her back, Loretta decided that she might as well go all out with her as she would try to deliver a brutal stomp right into her belly, driving her boot into her midsection.

Of course, such action would earn her more hateful jeers from the crowd, which Loretta absolutely cared very little of. Withdrawing her foot, she would walk around the downed form of Julie, deliberating on what to do before she decided to deliver a hard kick right to the side of her body.
