Fernanda 'Goldilocks' Jiménez Guerrero vs. Dmitri Markov Voronov - Underdog Story

Dmitri had been with the AFW for a good, long while. Five years, just over, on and off. It hadn’t exactly been a storied, proud career, if he were being honest.  One with a lot of lows and not many highs. A lot of valleys, but no real peaks he could speak of. Since his debut, he’d been defeated quite a few times, didn’t have any real notable wins to his name, and he could’ve been fine with that. He wasn’t here to get the Tension title or make any big splashes. He wasn’t out to headline Showdown or anything. As a male in Anime Female Wrestling, you were supposed to just take whatever you could get.

But, somehow, that just wasn’t cutting it for him anymore. As he made his way through the gorilla position for his match, he could hear the stagehands talking among themselves, wondering how quick this match would go, whether or not he’d get pinned or submitted, or maybe even knocked out. It seemed like they were hoping for that last option, knowing that a knockout would get them more views on social media, and they were hoping it would be a dominant victory, something they could really sell. That was how they saw him - not as a competitor, but porn fodder.

It was more than a little grating, and try as Dmitri might, he couldn’t push it out of his head. But maybe that was a good thing, because it made him come to a decision.

Today, Dmitri was going to win. He wasn’t sure how, or what move he’d used, but he was going to pick up that win, and no one was going to stop him.

The man that came out to the ring had a determined, driven face on, marching down without a hint of regret or worry as his theme music played out over the loudspeakers. He only took a brief stop near the end of the ramp, slowing down to tighten up his belt, before he dashed forward and slid into the ring. In a quick flourish, he popped to his feet and made his way over to the corner, bouncing from heel to heel as he went to stay pumped.

He was ready. He could do this.

"Man! feels weird to wrestle in this..." Back in the changing rooms, Fernanda dressed as if she was about to go hit the gym, not about to have a wrestling match, in her debut even! "Oh well, suerte o muerte!" She claimed, already deciding that she wouldn't let that stop her. Tonight, she would shock and awe AFW! A smooth, chill tone signalled her about the other fighter that would be her first victim opponent. "Yeesh! if his fighting style is anything like his music taste, this will be one-sided and messy" She said, only for Dmitri's theme to die out, moving on to her violent and loud intro, making the entirety of the arena tremble and reverberate. "A huevo!¹ That's more like it!"

The eager girl wasted no time, she had waited for so long, and now she was back at it! She sprinted at max speed followed by some pyrotechnics that tried to catch up to her but fell short. The blonde latina got up in the ring so fast that the smoke wasn't even fully cleared by the time she was face to face with the  Russian boy, that was slightly taller than her. By the time the song finally ended, the whole arena fell silent for a second, screaming in pure excitement the other, as if Goldie's entrance put a flame beneath their asses.

Fernanda was gasping heavily, not only because of the record that she must have broken after arriving to the ring at neck-breaking speed, but also because her body was pumped full of adrenaline. She missed this so damn much! "Yo!" She finally presented herself to the boy that was her opponent after regaining her breath. "Mine's Fernanda! Call me Fer or Goldi if you'd like. What's yours? " She presented herself, forcibly taking his hand to give it a hard and steady shake that packed quite a punch. "Good job on being my first match, hope you don't hold it against me when I beat you!" She remarked smuggly, breaking the handshake and walking towards her corner.

After making such a big impact on the audience and other fighter, the Mexican wrestler started to prepare herself for the big moment. She hoped that she didn't lose her edge after not wrestling anyone for a couple months. And that Dmitri guy looked like he would be a fun experience! Goldilocks awaited for the bell to ring, stretching slightly in her corner, not taking her green eyes off of him for a second. Her intense stare practically yelling; "Ready or not! Once that bell rings, your ass is mine!"

Goldi's colorful language:
¹ Mexican slang, it means: "Fuck yeah!"

The first word that popped into Dmitri’s mind when Goldi came to the ring was ‘energetic’. Extremely, infectiously, crazily energetic.

He had been standing there, puffing himself up, ready for the bout, when this woman slid into the ring, marched over and just started shaking his hand. Not a normal shake, either. She squeezed hard, pulled hard, shook so hard that he almost thought she would dislocate his arm. The woman had a lot of power in that frame, wasn’t afraid to show it off, and it left him frazzled for a few moment after they parted.

When that moment passed, he straightened up and righted his hair, forcing some calm to come back over him as he looked her over. She was in shape, probably the biggest woman he’d faced since that cowgirl back in the day. That didn’t necessarily mean he was in trouble - physique was nothing without the skill to back it up. But, still, something he would have to look out for.

”Dmitri. Me llamo Dmitri.” He placed his heels together and gave her a quick bow, showing the proper respect and greeting Goldi in her native language. He rarely had an occasion to put his education in Spanish to good use, and this was as good an excuse as any. He had to say something witty to comeback at her, though. Really exude some confidence, show her that he meant business here.

”Yeah, well...we’ll see!”

He tried to say that forcefully, but it just came out flat. Trashtalk was neer his forte, in or out of the ring. He’d just have to make up for it once the bell rang.

And speaking of which, there it was.

Dmitri rushed in the moment it sounded, closing in with a long, bold stride. He figured his best shot here was to test Goldi out, move in quick and pull away to gauge her reactions, so that was what he went for - a quick side kick, aimed at her stomach, before he bounced back and circled her out of range.

Well, she would be damned! It looked like good ol' Dmitri knew his Spanish as well. Presenting himself with it. Made Goldi chuckle a bit, she found it endearing, really. But that wouldn't be enough to stop her from opening a can of whoop-ass on the poor guy. This was a wrestling match, after all, and Fernanda was all about complete domination or nuthin'. The Russian fella appeared to be slightly fazed by her introduction, which meant that he wasn't that impressed by her, or that he was a stoic guy. His bored way of speaking pointed at the second option being the most likely.

The moment the bell rang, Goldi stopped doing her warm-up exercises. She was about to go for the offensive, but the martial artist beat her to it. The Mexican girl saw it coming, she couldn't have dodged it, but she could have blocked. instead of doing that, she decided to take it. Why? Just for the insane curiosity to see if she would be able take what he was packin'. The boy kicked quite hard, much to her surprise. not that he was scrawny looking, but he was definitely no joke.

The latin girl gasped by the feel of getting hit straight in the gut as the force made her back off to the corner. Still, he would need to hit harder than that to keep her down! She smiled at the prospect of fighting a skilled martial artist, quickly sprinting towards him.

Fer would bring her hands up, ready to use the grip that she already introduced to him. Her intention was to grab his arms, which would probably be high as he also withdrew himself to adopt a defenseful position. She was buff, but she wasn't lacking in the speed department either, he might try to attack, but that would only make openings for her to use, he might try to run, but she wouldn't stop chasing until she got a hold of one of those arms. And when she did, Goldilocks would start to bend it in a standing Figure Four Arm Lock. "You are a real badass-lookin kinda' guy. But do you have the moves to back it up Dmi?" She asked in a smug tone.

Dmitri had a solid memory and could recall things that most people tended to forget over time. It was a talent that had served him well as an account, letting him keep notes together, recall meeting notes, and juggling numbers with ease, giving him an appreciated leg up over the competition.

That memory was why he could say, with a high degree of confidence, that Goldi was the first person in history to ever describe Dmitri as ‘badass-looking’. Not in his presence, anyway. He suspected that record wouldn’t be broken for a while, either. As compliments went, he was happy to take, but on the matter of whether or not he could back it up…

Less sure on that. But he’d see.

Goldi wasn’t just talking, either, she was pressuring him, giving him little space to operate, tanking his kick and moving into grapple with him. He suspected that he couldn’t keep up with it when it came to upperbody strength, and this just served to confirm that - she was able to overpower him with relative ease, forcing his arms up and getting them into a tight lock. Impressive work, really. She clearly knew what she was doing.

But so did he. Gritting his teeth, Dmitri endured the hold for a few moments before he started fighting back, lashing out and swing his knee into her hip, hoping to hit the bone and give her some incentive to release him.

Being able to dance in the ring after her "hiatus" made Fernanda extremely eager, just like Dmitri himself was painfully experiencing. Perhaps she would have been less extreme in normal circumstances, but she wasn't one fighter to go easy with anyone. Also, she could tell, this guy wasn't made of paper, he would be able to take this like a champ, it's what the latina girl thought while she twisted his arm further.

"Ick!" A sharp shot of pain down there was the reason that broke Goldi's fixation on his poor arm. She let go of him and jumped back out of instincts, she then proceeded to rub the hurt zone. "Really?" She asked with a grimace, sounding like that literal low-blow left her unimpressed. "So, you're gonna be a pain in the ass, huh?" She snarked at the martial artist.

After looking at Dmitri for a good second, Goldi engaged once again, not wanting to give him any time to relax. She already knew that he was a striker, but now she was certain that tanking much of his hits could be dangerous, so she decided that this time she would need to be smart about this!

If she hurt his arm, it probably meant that he would try to retaliate with a kick, even more likely because that appeared to be his go-to attacks by the looks of it. So, the moment that leg would rise to strike her face, the blonde girl would try to go beneath him and test her luck with a Double Leg Takedown.

Goldilocks was going to go for his legs, sooner rather than later. He was sure enough on that to make a bet, if he were the sort of betting type.

It was just an inevitable thing, and an unavoidable consequence of being a strike-based fighter in the AFW. His legs might as well have had a bullseye on them. They were effective tools, but any wrestler worth their salt would know to target them. He’d been in more leg-based submission holds than he could count, and judging by his opponent’s energetic demeanor, she’d be making attempts soon enough. She didn’t strike him as the waiting type.

That assumption turned out to be well founded, as his opponent came at him low in the next moment, sliding into him and taking him at the knees with a double-leg takedown. It took him by surprise and brought him down, but that wasn’t the real problem - no, that came from her being on top of him. Not the way he wanted to proceed.

He could only see one good play, and he went for it. Dmitri pushed up hard, brought his legs in, and tried to kick at her chest, just a mad attempt to get her off.

It was practically second nature to her. No matter how much she hasn't done it, bringing someone down simply came naturally for Fernanda. She could even tell about many times she brought down friends who came to her from behind. So it didn't come as a surprise that she managed to bring good ol' Dmi down on his ass rather easily. The thing that she wasn't used to? Getting kicked in the way down. She appeared to forget the fact that her opponent was still kicking, literally.

"Auugh! Hijo de la-!" It hurts to be kicked in the chest. Specially if you're as stacked as Goldi was. Still, she managed to soldier through it, not giving the boy enough room to escape. Instead, she gave him a rather nasty look of violence, not the kind of violence that was part of sportsmanship, the kind of violence that makes people wince in pain. "Real bitch move Dmi! Real bitch move"

The Mexican wrestler took a handful of the Russian male's hair, and by pulling it, she proceeded to smash his head down on the floor once, twice, thrice and one last time. And this wasn't even her vendetta. This was just the anesthetics previous to it.

Dmitri suspected he might have made a mistake, here. He came to that conclusion rather quickly, when his attempt to dislodge Goldilocks and get free just resulted in more pain on his side. He’d thought he could knock her away, but his attempt showed just how substantial and strong this woman - not only had it not worked, but it had only made her madder. Substantially madder.

”Wait, wait-”

Goldilocks did not, in fact, wait - instead, she barreled forward, grabbed him by the hair, and started ramming his skull into the canvas. The referee was already voicing her objections, but that wasn’t enough to help him in time - his skull was bounced off the floor, over and over, leaving him seeing stars as he stared up at the ceiling. Not out, not close to it, but far more winded than he should’ve been so early in the match, even by his low standards.

This match was going to leave him sore for a while. He could already tell.

Things went from 0 to 10 very fast, someone should have told Dmitri that Fernanda had a temper. Now the poor boy was getting his head harshly smashed against the ground repeatedly. that would be a killer headache for later. "What are you saying? You'll need to speak louder, I'm in the middle of some hammer work!" She said, finally ending it with three specially potent head slams.

The sadistic girl looked down on him. "Maybe I went to harsh on him?" She thought for herself after admiring the mess she did with the russian boy looked to the roof as if he was freshly hit by a truck. "Nah!"

After deciding that he still needed a bigger beating. Goldi grabbed him by the collar of his attire to make him get up. He probably wouldn't be fully conscious, so he wouldn't be able to stop her from beating him up even further. Once he was back to his feet (more or less) she would try to Irish Whip him to the ropes, it would be a strong push, so he probably would come back to her like a human boomerang.

Once Dmitri bounced off the ropes towards the blonde Mexican, she would be waiting for him in a grappling position. If he was unable to do anything, she would simply lift him up by the shoulder and legs, only to violently drop him on his back once again with a traditional Body Slam.
