Battle of the Shadow Furries

The wind lightly howled as Yori would walk the quiet path away from the local shrine. Her part time shift at the shrine had come to a close and now it was her time to make her way back home and in to the city proper. Here it was calm, peaceful, as if cloistered away from the hustle and bustle where her apartment was, a shame she had to leave though as she loved the moonlit environment. She had disrobed herself of temple attire and now wore the more modern look of a young womanm a light beige jacket over her attire. This was a far cry from her other part time job as a fighter for the Sovereign Wrestling Organization, and even more so from the real truth to whom she was.

In the ring she was a fiery kunochi style wrestler, using a ninja persona in her wrestling. However her being a ninja was closer to reality if anything, descending from a long line that faithfully served both ancient damiyo and the nation itself as time went on and she was no different. The foxy ninja had several years of experience at this point and there was nothing in the rules about using her natural ability for more fun and less lethal uses.

Like any other day it was a training session for Hairou the wolf shinobi. Always training and honing his skills even further than before. But solo training always had it's limits and thus restricted his progress and this was a bad news for someone who pushed himself to the top. What to do? Find an opponent of course. A specific vixen at that and one who excelled at his own arts if not from a different style. Maybe now he could apply some of what he acquired over the years into practical use.

Even though not certain of her exact whereabout he knew she worked in a shrine nearby the. Traveling above the tree lines from branch to branch in masterful agility and speed hoping she might be around. Such a golden opportunity is a must! As he neared the shrine location someone was there, covered in a bright orange fur? On top of a tree branch hiding himself behind the trunk, Hairou tilted his head into the walking female below him that marched in peach. Yes, that was here. Was she a shrine maiden? No clue but now he wondered how to approach here.......

Yori didn't notice at first that she was being watched and followed from afar. It wasn't until she caught his scent as the wind shifted direction that she'd notice, acting still as if she hadn't noticed as all. The vixeen would still continue on her own little path, feigning a yawn as the sky began to turn with the setting sun. It was getting late and it looked like she wouldn't be getting home until rather late anyway now.

However as soon as she got her chance a closed fan was flung with blinding speed right towards his direction in the tree that he was hiding in, "Whoever is out there show yourself now!" she says in a defensive stance.

The flying fan was grabbed a few inches from his face astonished by such sharp instincts and marksmanship. It's been a while since he fought a fellow shinobi and his blood was starting to gradually to aggravate, smiling as if a kid who found his missing sweets. Hairou hopped from his location spinning in an agile ball before standing a few meters from the red fox, crossing his arms and acting all dignified.

"So, it seems this city is full of mystery and one of it is in plain sight. I assume your the one called Yori Takibi?"

Yori was right to assume that there was someone watching him as a wolf revealed himself to the fox. She kept herself on guard but relaxed somewhat; she didn't need to get into a fight after all, "What do you want, can't you see it's a little late for a girl coming off her shift?" she says with a hand to her hip.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you that it's rather rude to stalk a girl all on her lonesome," she says teasing him partially. She didn't recognize what clan he was from. A few rang a bell in her head but she threw them out, still unsure what to expect from him.

He closed his eyes smiling a bit feeling some kinda sassiness in her tone as he once more gazed upon her. "Seems I forgot to introduce myself. The name is Hairou, a fellow shinobi like you" His voice was stiff but without much of a malice as he spoke his mind.

"And if my memory isn't cheating me your one of the AFW rooster, no?" The wolf man didn't find Yori without studying her of course. Having read about her info from the database of the organization before hand in preparation to face her.

Yori knew that her name was public information as she did little to hide it, but few knew of her connections to being a real shinobi instead of the fake one that she portrayed in the ring. She was at a disadvantage now, not knowing what else he knew about her, information that could be used against her if she wasn't careful. Takibi family kept most of their secrets locked away or hidden for their techniques.

"I think you're personally mistaken, I'm just one on the television ya know," she says trying to diffuse things, maybe hoping that he'd take the lie.

The wolf rolled his eyes, apparently she doesn't want to expose her true identity or just being sly for some reason. Then again, this profession wasn't to be pronounced so clumsily in fear of secrets or unwanted attention from some fools thinking it's a game.

But just to wake her up and to have a little mischievous fun one of his small knives adorned across his chest was pulled, flinging the sharp object with a mere fingers toss towards her shoulder.

It appeared as if the rouse had failed as she could see him rolling her eyes at her before taking one of the knives strapped to his chest and flung it towards her with relative ease. Yori's eyes widened as she quickly moved out of the way with well trained reflexes, making it look rather easy. The knife itself imbedding into a tree behind her. It didn't look like now she could get away and would be forced to confront him fully now.

"Fine then. I don't know why you're here and what for but if you want to play games so be it!" she says pulling out a fan from a concealed pocket of her beige light jacket and charging forward. She was fast, light on her feet, jabbing towards him with the closed fan in her hands.

Finally! Her true self was revealed and thus igniting this concealed battle from prying eyes. His battle pose was changed swiftly in a shiniboi-like manner with two fingers across his muzzle and a wide stance. His body was starting to boil from excitement as it was rare for him to fight someone like him.

Hairou as swift and solid as he was, he used his hand stationed across his face to deflect the jabbing fan strike to the side while rotating for a high spanning kick for her cheek.
