Alizeh Midori (D) vs Adrian Kytes: Starting against the Best

Barely managing to kick out of Adrian's pinfall Alizeh was laying on her side, panting, breathing heavily, trying to shake off the damage taken to her neck and get herself back in this fight. Unfortunately however now that she had the advantage Adrian wasn't going to let it slip from her fingers anytime soon. Forcing her over onto her stomach before pulling her against her will to her feet. Only to force her to bend and place her head between the veteran's legs.

It didn't matter what state Alizeh was in she knew instinctively how terrible a position this was and that she couldn't let whatever Adrian was looking for to happen. As she felt herself started to be lifted up Alizeh would try her best to push her legs out to keep herself from being lifted. If successful with that she would try and swing her fist around, trying to punch Adrian in the ribs to try and force her to back off!

Arms hooked, now it was time to lift Alizeh up into the air...

Time to... yeah this wasn't happening. "Stop sandbagging!" Adrian complained as her third attempt at lifting the Emerald Storm off her feet was somehow less productive than the first. The former champ was forced to abandon her grip on Alizeh's arms to try and get a better grip and more leverage around her foe's waist but she was quick to take the opportunity, swinging out at the veteran the moment her arms were free "Oof!" she grunted like a pitch-altered Roblox avatar as a shot caught her in the ribs, giving the debutant the space she needed to escape from her perilous situation.

On the verge of getting her skull spiked again Alizeh was doing everything in her power to keep that from happening. Throwing her weight back at every chance resisting her opponent's efforts to finish her move, and now throwing punches at the woman's ribs to make her back off!

Thankfully this would soon pay off for Alizeh as she managed to get the distance she needed so badly... Only to then close it as she darted towards Adrianne, spinning on her heel while swinging her arm up and around, trying to smack her fist into the side of the veteran's face with a spinning back fist!

"Tch, come on!" Adrian grunted as she struggled to get some form of control back over Alizeh, especially now she was having to deal with stinging fists to her ribs and not just getting winded by the barrage of body blows coming up from the rookie and forcing the veteran to step back "Ugh!" Not to have her hard work undone so fast, the brunette took a step in and aimed to swing her leg up high, looking to catch the Emerald Storm with a roundhouse kick to the head.

*THWACK!*

...Until the green haired fighter's fist caught her flush in the face before she could throw out the kick, instead the blow spun Adrian around looking out on her feet with her back to Alizeh.

Things were starting to get desperate now. Alizeh had to push with everything she had if she wanted to succeed in this match and her debut, but it this was desperate burst of hers that was letting her push forward and start to fight back into things. Landing a solid punch directly onto Adrian's face! Knocking her around in the process Alizeh would smirk tiredly as she darted forward, looking to loop her arms under the woman's own.. Before arching backwards to land a snap dragon suplex on the woman, bridging in the process to hold her for a pin!

Adrian was spun back to face the swirling green blob that on reflection was obviously Alizeh before a smack across the jaw sent her spinning back around the other way again, back where she was just a few seconds ago just now with an upcoming x-ray at the dentists in her near future to look forward too. The Emerald Storm was on the assault and there looked to be very little the former champion could do about it as the debutant swiftly looped her arms around Adrian's, trapping them up before she snapped herself backwards to take her for another ride of pain, crashing down to the canvas as Alizeh held on for the bridge, a difficult feat with how fast that dragon suplex was.

"One!

Two!

Thr- Two count only!" The ref declared as Adrian lurched to the side, getting her shoulder off the canvas as the match continued to roll on with another close call, the brunette's head might be spinning but there was something going on that kept her moving even if no-one else was home between the ears.

Fighting back suddenly with ferocity Alizeh had managed to turn the older woman around and stun her by doing doing so. Looping her arms under the woman's own Alizeh then pulled back, launching Adrian with a dragon suplex and holding her for a pin! one... two... thr... Just shy of the last pin count being made the former champ managed to kick out, barely, but just enough to keep this match going. Letting Adrian go as she did so Alizeh would sit up, panting softly with a look of frustration on her face, grabbing her hair as she thought about what it would take to end this.

Pushing herself up to her feet Alizeh concluded that there was only one thing to do, she needed to finish her opponent with a finisher, plain and simple. Reaching down and grabbing hold of the woman's hair and shoulder to try and pull her up. If uninterrupted in getting the woman to her feet Alizeh would then get behind her, lowering herself up and placing her head between the woman's legs before trying to stand up, huffing as she tried to heft Adrian up with her, in preparation for her Hurricane Driver finisher!

"Nggh..." Adrian grunted as she was hauled up by her long locks. It wasn't bad enough that the Emerald Storm was frustrated enough by the veteran's resiliency to pull at her own hair, no, the debutant had to make her opponent feel the same pain in the scalp she did in her rage against the fact that Adrian was still kicking out despite being smacked and thrown around like a rag doll. With the ex-champ reluctantly up to her feet Alizeh might have hoped that the second time going for the Hurricane Driver would be the charm she needed but while the brunette looked as though she had nothing going on between the ears right now on some deeper level the always tricky Adrian was planning something.

The last time she'd countered by going backwards so this time she went forwards before Alizeh had readied herself to deal the devastating blow, looking to suddenly roll the rookie up with an old-school victory roll. No sudden impact, just a relatively gentle move into having the Emerald Storm's arms suddenly hooked by Adrian's thighs and her shoulders on the canvas.

Adrian was a wiley and tough opponent to face in any context, let alone your debuting match in a big company. Alizeh however was more than willing to rise to the challenge, meeting Adrian at every point, counter for counter, hold for hold, refusing to back down! Now she stood poised to potentially win the match, if she could just land this last finisher! Unfrotunately however as she did so the older woman found a counter of her own, rolling through Alizeh and pulling her down with her, pinning her shoulders down to the mat with a roll up pin and catching her unaware!

"ONE!"

"TWO!!"

"THREE!!!"

"Woo!" Adrian gasped as she flopped forward as soon as the count hit three, clutching the bottom rope to keep herself steady while she tried to regain enough focus to make the long trek to the back and get her hand raised in victory. It had been a rough match for the multi-decade veteran but finally Adrian Kytes had pulled off the win! All it took... was actually a long list of things, Alizeh could hold her head high that she'd given someone so decorated so much difficulty but necessity was the mother of success and the brunette had swiftly stolen victory from the jaws of defeat with determination, technique and a helping handful of leverage.

Right, neither the debuting fighter nor the official had seen it but the jeering crowd had: It wasn't the victory roll alone that had secured the pin, after the first count Adrian had reached out to grab at the rope she was now hugging tightly to make sure Alizeh couldn't shake her off. 'Stealing' victory was pretty much the best way to describe what had happened but unfortunately for the green haired wrestler there was no VAR in wrestling so coming up just short from dirty tactics was the best the Emerald Storm would have to live with.
