Standard Match

Win by Pin or submission. KOs will not be counted as a win.

Megumi watched the replay of the battle between Chigusa and Sean over and over, until she could completely understand Sean's every move. It was quite an incredible match. Megumi watched Sean take a beating that nobody should ever have been able to survive, with several crushing head blows, and get up as if nothing had happened. She knew she had to be careful with this man, as his strength was something inhuman.

She got up off the bench in the locker room, putting away the small medial player in her locker. She was ready for the match now, having fully donned all her attire and properly warmed up with a quick workout in the gym. She worked out the possible scenarios in her mind, the tactics she would need to win. Sean was strong, but not infallible. Every person had a weakness, after all. It was just playing the opponent's weaknesses to your advantage that gave you the victory.

Megumi entered the ring. It was even more packed tonight, with people literally crammed to the brim, all shouting and yelling and cheering. Megumi tuned them out. They would be nothing more than a distraction, and that was the last thing she needed. She took a big breath, and closed her eyes.

"Find your inner self," she thought, "Find that place of solace, that peace, that resevoir of unbeatable strength. Tap into it, become one with it. Become the warrior." When she opened her eyes, they were completely serene, as if she was not bothered by anything. She was ready for the match.

Inhuman wasn't what Sean was, he was proficiently trained to take nasty bumps and blows. Spare weapon based. Like Jim Ross would say: "I don't care how tough your are, a chair shot, is a chair shot." Which is true. To be honest, Sean felt he got lucky the night before. It was just knowing what to use, how to use, and when to use it. Considering it took him a few the figure out what Chigusa's style was, he knew from there what to do and when to make his move and the strategy that was proper to keep the match elevated. It was unfortunate that Chigusa almost got injured. Hopefully, the medics gave her the Aleeve to help the pain. That was what he took after the match before he went to bed. At the same time, Sean had to be cautious with this one. The last match might have been incredible, but it was also easy to figure out how he worked. Which is why he needed to switch up with something. Before, the test of strength didn't work out very well. He wasn't sure if he could pull the same tactic twice. Megumi might use that to her advantage like Chigusa did.

While he was strolling ideas in his head, Sean's motivational tune kicked in on the speakers in the arena. "Billy Discovered" by Alan Silvestri from the Young Guns II soundtrack. He took a deep breath and stepped out upon the first musical notes were hit. The crowd exploded. Seeing him standing at the stage, in his usual get up: loose fitted long sleeve white shirt hiding his build, loose denim, pair of standard wrestling boots and a leather belt holding his pants up. He took a few steps to the center of the stage looking out to the crowd. There were more fans in the grandstands tonight than there were the night before. Obviously, that last one turned some heads. The last match was amazing, this one might be Electrifying. That's what Sean hoped.

Making his way down the ramp in a steady pace, he showed no signs of fear. The energy coming from the grandstands was his fuel. He walked with a purpose, one goal in mind. That was to make this night memorable in the eyes of the public. Again, he knew that there was nothing to go on record with this one. She was from the Friction League, and he was Sex Wars or Mixed. The only way it would actually count is if Megumi signed up in the Sex Wars League. Though he wasn't sure if she would.

He made it up the steps stopping at the ropes looking to Megumi for a moment. His eyes looking deeply into hers seeing how calm she was. She had found her zen apparently. That was good. She was going to need it. He stepped between the ropes and stopped at the center of the ring slowly circling hearing the fans cheering and chanting. He closed his eyes, taking in the energy, feeding from it, balled his hand into a fist and raised it high into the air. The fans cheered louder, his eyes stayed closed feeding off of it, taking in every word coming from the grandstands. His hand slowly lowered, and he opened his eyes to face Megumi. He was prepared. His strategy was to switch a little bit. Instead of a test of strength for starters, he would attempt to lock horns instead. Though that would be if he could get close enough to her. He waited for the bell to ring before getting ready to make a move.

Megumi watched Sean enter the ring, seemingly refueled by his rest and ready for yet another match. She was not worried, however. Calmness was strength, mind over matter. She was ready for whatever Sean could deal out. She was calm, but very focused on the match. She knew his moves, and how he reacts. It was just finding the correct way to counter his tactics. This, however, was not Megumi's strong point, as she was used to fighting with her own style, and not having to adapt too much in a match.

"Not that it matters here," she thought, "My style is good enough to beat him."

Megumi would first offer Sean a quick handshake, an almost cordial ceremony. She would then begin the match by getting as close as possible, fighting close was her style.

(Unofficial) Megumi Mutoh VS Sean Ishimi- The Second Battle! Empty Re: (Unofficial) Megumi Mutoh VS Sean Ishimi- The Second Battle!

Sean could only watch Megumi for a moment. He saw her extend a hand shake to him and was a little reluctant about it. Most people would use that as an attack of opportunity. He kept his guard, reaching for the extended hand gently shaking it as a sign of best wishes. He then released the grip and got ready.

The bell rang and he began dancing with her in a circle a little bit. Watching her carefully taking note of her movements. She seemed to be closing in on him, that's a plus. He might be able to get some more moves out of this. He made preparations for the first part of his tactic. He would attempt a tie up with her. Lock horns so to speak, if he was successful and she went along with this, they would be in the little struggle contest to see who would overpower the other for a moment. Until one of them made the first move.

The second part was fairly simple enough. Nothing to powerful, nothing too devastating, just an attempt to toss her in an arm drag. If he was able to achieve this, then he would have his arm hooked around her near arm and tossing her over top of him as he dropped to the mat tossing some of his weight in the process. Arm drags weren't really painful. Just fairly simple for combination based movements. Good for momentum build up and also for set ups with opponents. He figured he would do this a few times. The arm drag actually would display a hint of his strength to her. Not by much though. Depending on how much he put into his strength would lead to how far across the mat he would toss her. Then again, this is if he could get up to this point.

However, the problem would be keeping the upper hand. He could leave himself open at anytime. He was prepared for this portion of the match since he was fresh.

Megumi closed the distance quickly, hoping to tangle with her opponent and show him her grappling skills. Unlike Chigusa, who was a distance fighter and a high flyer, Megumi was a very close range technical grappler, who preferred her matches up close and personal. She knew all the moves, and all of the best ways to counter them.

When Sean attempted the Arm Drag, Megumi attempted to test his strength by pulling as hard as she could just has his grip closed. She was ridiculously strong for a girl, especially of her size. The pull would effectively unbalance Sean, but not make him break his grip or fall down. Megumi had other plans too. As she stopped her tug of war, she would attempt to also try an elbow strike to Sean's chest with the arm that he has in his hold. Should the move connect, she hoped to break Sean's hold so she could try one of her own.

Sean attempted the arm drag however, found it to be a bit awkward. Megumi was pulling into a tug of war, Sean had a pretty good idea as to what her strength was, but he was much stronger than she was. For now he would just keep things close. Since the styles seemed to mesh. well, Compliment one another. He was a power house, scientific wrestler. Megumi seemed to fit in the same category.

Sean felt the shot in the chest and nearly staggered a bit while still in the hold. At the same time, he knew for a fact that if Megumi tried to hoist him up, it would possibly lead to straining her back. He was 230 lbs after all. Her shots however, did pack a wallop. 'Pretty stiff,' he thought. 'Better be ready with a surprise.' He figured his strength would start to reveal itself in due time. Although, Sean was going to wait this one out for a moment. He would prepare himself with whatever Megumi had in store for him. Lifting moves would result in him not budging since he was a bit too heavy. However, a submission would be something he could work with as well. Maybe with a basic headlock, he could surprise her with a back drop.

Megumi took no chances. She did not bother with any of her suplexes or her throws, preferring instead to try and beat Sean down with small but painful attacks. It was her style to do nothing flashy until she was sure of it working. Sean was stronger than she was, quite a bit stronger from the tug of war they had. It took her entire body to keep Sean from pulling her back and he was only using his arms!

Megumi quickly performed a leg sweep, intending to bring Sean to the ground. If his arms were so strong, then she would have to disable them. She would grab one of his arms and put him in an armbar, attempting a submission on him and trying to make sure his arms become tired first. Her strategy was simple, work the stronger opponent down with attrition. She could win this as she had more than enough strength in her reserves.

Post by imkerrusin Wed Mar 25, 2009 1:05 am

Sean felt his feet get swept under him and landed flat on his back groaning a bit. She was pretty basic. So far she was hardly using any energy on him. Not bad. Sean knew he could get out of this. If there was a will, there was a way. Sean knew there had to be a loophole in this.

He felt Megumi reach for his arm attempting to go for an submission. He thought for a split second and wasted no time with a reaction. While she had held his arm in her hands, Sean attempted to grasp one of her arms in the process of Megumi setting up for her submission. If he was successful in achieving this, he would then attempt to pull her down to the mat and switch to the face down armlock which he used on Chigusa the night before. If success was achieved, then he would have her in a "Rest Hold" which was he pried on her arm, took a few moments to adjust himself and go for the submission again.

At the same time, if she was able to get his arm in an armbar, he would attempt to skitter towards the ropes to grasp them. If he was able to reach them, he would be able to break the submission for now.

Megumi was just about to lock in the hold, when Sean grabbed her arm as well with his free hand. "Tch," Megumi said. She now had to abandon her attempts to set up. She figured that Sean would attempt a submission on her, but would not give him the chance. Though she was strong, she was not all that flexible. Of course, she was flexible enough, but was nowhere near enough to survive submissions for long. She couldn't get trapped in them.

Megumi would instead do a quick stomp on the arm she had right now, doing as much injury as she could. The stomp would also hopefully make Sean let go, for it will hurt. If Sean let go, she would unhesitatingly jump right on Sean's stomach. She had no qualms about attacking a downed opponent. If he did not, then Megumi would resist being pulled into any submission hold.

Sean went to drag her down and felt a hefty stomp on his arm and jolted for a second or two in reaction to the attack. He held on though, at least for as long as he could. After a few more, he finally let go, holding his arm for a second and was nearly winded by Megumi's stomp. He didn't yelp or scream from it. He just winced from the shots and rolled away from her letting the pain settle in before slowly getting back to his feet again. 'Someone's done their homework.' he thought. 'Might have to find another way to get her by surprise.' Surprising someone that seemed to know what your tactics were was pretty difficult though. He found it odd that she was able to determine his movements in just a few attacks that he threw on Chigusa. Although, he did have a few tricks up his sleeve. She was pretty aggressive. He just needed to figure out where the opening was and take it.

Sean slowly got back to his feet holding his arm for a moment looking to Megumi watching her for a second. He took a couple of deep breaths approaching the center of the ring and extended his one hand out as an invitation to a test of strength perhaps. 'What are you doing, Sean?' he thought. 'She's not going to fall for this. Unless. . .' He thought about it for a second and decided to use it as a setup. His real move was to make an attempt and get her in the belly to belly suplex set up. It depends on how close she gets and if she decided to accept his little challenge. Since his one arm was a little damaged, she might. Or she just might ignore it and go for something else.

At the same time, the extended hand would also give him some time to catch any of her attacks as well. A toe kick was easy, and her swings he could switch over to a simple jab to the arm using his elbow. He knew that she was quite the tough one. He had to make sure he didn't leave any room for errors.
