Ace almost did cry when Valley pulled her over and hugged her, she needed comfort, and the woman could sense that, doing what she could to provide it. Ace managed to avoid crying on her shoulder, but after a few minutes in the hug, she did finally relax, shoulders slumping as she leaned in against her.

It didn't completely remove the feelings of worthlessness and inadequacy she had been feeling since arriving at AFW, but it helped immensely, more than Valley could of known. Ace needed this, a friend/lover to lean on and be there for her.


Finally breaking the hug, Ace blushed a little and gave a soft smile.

"T...Thanks for saving me out there..."

She said, meaning every word. This was still going to effect her. She might even cry over it later, or wonder, as she had before, if she even deserved to come back. It was going to be hard just to get back in the ring for her next match after the physical and psychological damage that Jocelyn had done to her, but now that she had Valley at her side, she could get past it.

After all, she still had a country to represent, and a tournament to win.
