Special Mob Training(For Jessica)

"Ahh, so you are fairly strong," Corey said. Reiko hushed her. She smiled at Yui, then brought out another board.

"This might be a little tougher," Reiko said, "You have, of course, heard of the Karate chop. It's not quite as easy as the movies make it out to be." She handed the board to Corey. "The proper technique for such a chop involves not actually hitting with the side of your hand but with a slight angle upward, and also not bringing your hand way above your head like in the movies." She demonstrated the correct positioning. "Hit here," she said, pointing to the side of her hand, "And remember to keep your fingers tightened, or you might break them." She turned to the board, raised her hand only slightly, and chopped swiftly downwards, snapping the board in half.

Yui practiced once with her left hand. She performed each step of Reiko's instructions to break the board,but she forgot to tighten her fingers. As Reiko warned her something would happen if she doesnt tighten her fingers,Yui broke them. Hopping up and down,she was crying in pain,

"Oh!" Reiko gasped when she saw Yui smash her fingers into the board. She quickly ran over and tried to calm Yui down, grabbing her around the shoulders to comfort her.

"Here, let me see your fingers," Reiko said.

"Just a joke! " Yui's pain resulted to be fake. But the hit to the board was real. What happened then? The board slowly started to break in two pierces as Yui just smiled a laughed softly at Reiko's face.

"Hey,what happened to the board?"

Reiko took the board out of Corey's hands. "Hmm, it still looks fine," she said. She spoke too soon, as shen she shifted her grip just a little, the board snapped cleanly in two.

"This seems to be too easy," Reiko said, "Lets do something harder." She took out another board. This time, she tossed it into the air spinning it as it went up. when the board came down, Reiko threw a powerful punch, hitting the board in the middle and shattering it into little pieces.

"Now, I'm not going to ask you to try and do that," Reiko said, "We should start with something simpler." She took out a piece of rope and ited it around another board. She then tied it to the branch of a tree. "Here, if you can break the board like this, with no supports, we can move on," Reiko said, "This is a test of not only strength but precision."

Yui's eyes were wide open when she watched Reiko breaking the board so easily. Instead of applauding like a normal person,she started to cheerfully cheer for Reiko. "Wowwww!! That was amazinggg!!" By the time she stopped jumping and yelling,Reiko had already tied to board to the branch of a tree. She didnt know exactly what to do,but anyway,she tried several times breaking right through the board,just to push it and make it hit the tree...

"Hey,Reiko...What am I supposed to do with this?"

Reiko smiled. "This might sound a little odd and long winded," Reiko said, "Try to follow along. You see, when the board has support under it, you can break it easily because the board will not move when you hit it. However, with a loose board, you have only an instant to break it, since the board moves and the force you put onto the board would be lost."

"Here's what you need to do," Reiko said, "This is about focuas as much as it is about strength. You will have to focus all of your strength and throw it all out in an instant, kinda like kung fu masters do when they focus their chi. If you take too long, or lose your focus, you will fail."

She walked beside another tree. "The reason you must learn this is because with this, you can put a lot of force behind your attacks without actually havine much strength. You can defeat opponents much stronger than you if you know how to do this."

"I dont have the least idea of what the hell she is talking about...but well,let's see if I can break it now." Yui thought as she turned back in middle of Reiko's explanation. She knew that anyway,even if she would have payed full attention to Reiko's explanation,she wouldnt understand it anyway. She faced the board and shutted her eyes for a second,this time preparing herself to hit the board with the side of her bare hand to try and break it.

"Ah, I've lost her," Reiko thought when Yui went and began to attack the board. She walked up and grabbed Yui's hand before she could strike.

"Hit the board as fast as you can," Reiko said, "Like this." She guided Yui's motions, making Yui extend her arm out completely straight, pointing the side of her hand directly at the center. "The key is to hit the board quickly, since you will only have an instant to break the board."

"Oh,so that's the trick...! Why didnt you tell me before ? " Yui answered as she focused right in the centre of the board. She closed her eyes,let out a sigh and sent a fast karate chop to the board. She did it as quick as she could. Now they will have to see if the move was fast and strong enough to break the board-

"Hyaaaaaa!!"
