Alternative Arena

I forgot to finish off my idea but I don't think there was that much else actually.

In response to Luffy's idea to have it as a TV show that people in Friction and Sex Wars could watch, I'd say no... But if you were keen to some how have a link, I'd say it'd be a much better idea for it to be in the dreams of the wrestlers... obviously you can die multiple times in dreams, you just wake up and then go back to sleep or something, and it can explain all inconsistencies and special powers.

An alternative to playing death matches in resurrection ring or as a one off, is to have your character come back to life by mystical forces... but neither of the wrestlers know that that is going to happen. Therefore in the match it will seem very real and a desperate struggle, while still being able to bring your character back to play them again later..

If I could hear some comments on these ideas an the ideas I put up before, that would be great

the three-worlds idea sounded quite good to me. reminded me of Smash Brothers Brawl, so that's always a good sign. the middleground world would be for matches between characters from other worlds.

and for convenience's sake, i included my new characters with methods of revival all on their own

Not getting a lot of comments at the moment... Also it seems like we are at 60% to 40% as to if we should start a storyline now or later...

Just to toss some minor cents (or lack of sense?) out there:

Idea of 3 "worlds" with one "shared world" is great. " title="Very Happy" /> Only thought on it is that it'd probably be easier to explain things if they were just separate "continents" on an Earth-esque world (just a diffrent dimension of Earth?). In theory, could separate "ideas" geographically on one world with "middleground" where things meld together. For example: Angels from a city/land in the skies; Demons have either a firey wasteland of a continent or are from underground; "Medieval Fantasy" area with epic castles, sieges, Elves, Dwarves, etc.; Furries have a continent that's somewhat "normal"; there can be absurd metal metropoli (Plural metropolis?) for the futuristic/super powered; etc. I say this because, in theory, it'd probably be easier to spread word around if everyone were on the same plane of existance than separate ones. Plus, if someone wanted to combine things (like make a magically-inclined-demonic-lizard/cyborg/elf-of-doom combination or something?), it would be far more feasable on a single plane of existance than bridging multiple ones (unless, trying to prevent that?).

I'm probably just saying the exact same thing as Kelsea, but from the sound of "worlds", they were to be separate planets or dimensions of each-other that are somehow connected to one. " title="Embarrassed" /> Seems quite complex to explain wormholes/portals/etc across worlds to connect them all to the central one. Although, that could be the fun part in an alternate setting. " title="Embarrassed" />

As for Deathmatches: If it's sort of an "Arena O' Death" approach, probably easiest to just make them one-offs for matches between characters. For example, Person 1 has characters "A" and "B" while Person 2 has character "F", "I", and "N". "A" and "F" have a deathmatch with the outcome of "A" losing. However, "A" can still have a match with "I" and/or "N" as if the match with "F" never took place. Just as long as other matches aren't referenced in fights. Like: Person 3 has character "S" who will have a match with "A" and talks to "F" for some reason. "S" can still have a conversation with "F" about "A" liking cheeseburgers or something random, but, once they mention the match with or death of "A", then "A" will be unavailable to "S", meaning no match can occur?

For re-playability's sake though, it could be said that 'the afterlife' of the alternative universe is sort of like a big "Soul Convention" (like an after-life job fair or something) where there's demons, angels, animal spirits, mad scientists, necromancers, etc. that can all bring the individual back to life in some form or fashion. Example: "A" died. "A" was just a normal human and now wants to make a deal with some scientist to get super powers. "A" lives with new abilities but then dies again somehow. "A" returns to "The Convention", decides to form a pact with a demon this time. "A" returns to life with demonic stuff, but without the super powers from the scientist. So on and so forth. Heck, can even be some random normal person there that can make people plain ol' humans again if it's wanted. Could be one heck of a "Convention". " title="Laughing" /> Also, it would be sort of like a "reincarnation" type of theory, where the individual would have little to no memory of their previous life (unless awakened to their memories somehow if people want to work that into a story), and they would have no recollection of ever going to "The Convention", no matter how many times they go to it.

So basically no rematches with deathmatches, aye?

and imagine the crossover of worlds being easy enough. just need some one super magical or deity-ish to appear around the multiverse and go "guess what I'm doing!! ...no, guess again!" and just recruit whoever's into it. could handle resurections too, if he favors the fighter, but there's the chance that his whims just might not feel like it. feels a bit too deux ex machina-y for me, though

I'm tossing around the idea of another Alternative character or two, but haven't quite settled on details yet, so would like to know what people would think

main two ideas are between a goth/sorceress and a 4-armed shiva/asuna (or whatever the multi-armed japanese demons are) warrior

the "shiva" girl would be a lusty warrior woman, somewhere between amazons and vikings. their kind serves a war goddess (entertaining the idea of her being some manner of goddess herself) that encourages them to just fight and prepare to fight at all times. she'd actually grow hot from fighting. as her kind would be unfamiliar with regular, consentual lovemaking, she would also be aroused by that but I mean to have that actually reduce her impressive strength. would mainly work with her 4-arms and moderately super strength as her powers, though kicking around other ideas too. has a great respect for battle, so has no issues with fighting for fun or death (which she'll also find fun). all fighting for her is pleasent, and even a bash to the face is not an unfriendly act to her.

possible other ideas include a cannibalistic tendency, probably in her more aggressive match (or maybe just have her people have no issue with the concept). also thinking she could be the first futanari character on the board, though done so when she's especially wound up from a fight. her species has no alternate gender, so her clitoris grows far larger than a human's potentially can, allowing her to use it as a penis. since she'd have to be especially bloodlusty, it wouldn't happen every time

the witch girl is a bit sketchier, but also more character driven and a bit deeper. mean to have her be a "learned by experience" monster hunter, widely learned on monsters, demons, magic, and the like. mean to have her poke fun at the idea of her being a far better hunter than the actual one, Alicia. mean to have her have something like a long-running fear of the boogeyman as a kid, finally gearing up to kick its ass with shocking success. when no one belives her, she becomes a gothic rebel type (tons of piercings and tattoos), as shown

though i have a few ideas lined up, most likely mean to have her tattoos to wind up being the source of her magic. through wild coincidence, she crossed the right amount of tribal patterns to make a magical symbol that unlocked her power over common sorcery. this is mainly involved in small-time control of the elements, lightweight telekinesis, enhancing her strength and speed, limited levitation, and similar enchantments. she'd also be limited in her range in terms of her power, so she'd be mainly specialized in tying it in with close quarters cat-fighting

probably have her spells be verbally based, so she'd be significantly hindered with her mouth shut. she'd be a bit bitchy or at least rude, but a very nice person at heart who'd help out anyone decent. she mostly just has some beef with monsters, for being so prominent in her life. she runs into them regularly, making her both learned about them and distasteful of them. but she'll also recognize that each is its own sort, and try not to judge too quickly. think I'd also give her some semi-underlying monster fetish as well, getting off if she's overpowered by inhuman girls and men.
she came mostly from seeing that pic, and because I've been reading a lot of the Harry Dresden, professional wizard books.

Kewl.. the Shivagirl can execute a sexy bearhug+breastsmother combo in the same move. Aint' it a nice finisher? ^^

In any case, guess my male charas will beware of her dangerous clit... XD

thinking some kind of super multi-molestation as her finisher. bearhug for sure, probably with her bottom hands either groping their ass or fingering/stroking them. if the monster clit's involved, can tie that in too for extra molesting. generally mean for her to specialize in power and using her extra arms in creative ways

going back to how the alternative arena would work...

I had two other ideas, the much more simpler one is that there is just one world with everything in it... Then it is just up to each player who they want to face (ie if they want to face only medieval type characters then they can do just that.)

The other idea (which might get a little complicated) was that as well as a mixed world bowl like the one above, players can suggest ideas for seperate worlds/dimensions in which restrictions or twists will be added (ie a furry world with no magic... Or a good versus evil world where magic is alllowed and points are tallied up in a war against good and evil)...

Please tell me what you think and also in comparison to the original idea of just having 3 set dimensions/worlds

Ok, so what I'm going to do for starters (maybe later on today) is open up the alternative arena with a single dimension/world to begin with, that world will be the mixed bowl. At the same time I'll leave the current subforum open so that you can have one off, non storyline or test matches there.
