Wrestling Information

Strategy: While being a striker/counterer, Ken is good at using moves like clotheslines and aerials, as well.
Style: Precise strikes and counters
Type: Underground fighter turned Professional.

Preferred Attacks: While simple strikes are his specialty, he’s not afraid of using aerials and riskier moves, like the Tiger feint kick or his special “Falling from Heaven”.

Preferred Matches: Not into “softer” matches, he fought in the toughest places, so he’s not afraid of anything. Hardcore, coffins, electric wire, even cages. Anything dangerous, he’s game. Probably would do hentai, just not in public.

Physical Stats

Endurance:★★★ – Has a strong will, and years of working out. But he can over work himself, occasionally.
Strength:★★★  - Ken is reasonably strong, but focuses on speed and precision to beat opponents.
Speed:★★★★ – Ken’s speed is something to fear.
Defense:★★★ - Blocking attacks is Ken’s first line of defense, whether it be holding his arms up, or redirecting strikes.
Technique:★★★★ – While Ken was never professionally trained, he is a prodigy in hand to hand combat. He

Wrestling States

Strikes: ★★★★ – Ken thinks of his fists as dangerous weapons, and opponents should too.
Submissions: ★★ – While he knows submission hold, he only uses them to weaken opponents.
Powerhouse: ★★ – While he is strong, he won’t even try overpowering opponents.
Aerial: ★★★ - Rarely goes up on ropes, but that doesn’t mean he won’t go over…
Counters: ★★★★ – Ken’s best trait is his ability to counter strikes with ease. While he does struggle a bit with holds, strikes will rarely reach him.

Strengths: Due to his strikes and counters, Ken is best for fighting against smaller or same size opponents. He has also gotten better at using aerials.

Weaknesses: Ken gets into trouble with moves he can’t counter, like spears or slams. Also, the larger powerhouse opponents tend to be harder to fight against, but it’s not like he’s complaining!

Favorite moves:

Double knee: An attack where a charging wrestler strikes both of their knees simultaneously into the head, chest or back of the opponent (whether or not they are on the turnbuckle).
Double Knee:

Bulldog: A move in which the wrestler grabs an opponent's head and jumps forward, so that the wrestler lands, often in a sitting position, and drives the opponent's face into the mat.
Bulldog:

Tiger feint kick: A move in which a wrestler jumps through the second and top rope while holding on to the ropes and uses the momentum to swing back around into the ring. (Ken sometimes changes this move by going over the top rope and swinging his knees down).

Aerials:

Falling from heaven: An over the top rope suicide dive, but instead of doing a dive, Ken does a flip onto the opponent.

Finishers:

Diablo’s Vengeance: While coming from behind the opponent, Ken grabs the head with one hand. He will then jump, turning his body so that he can grab the opponents head with his other arm. And while still mid-air, he quickly slams the opponent’s face into the ground using his own weight to increase damage.

Appearance:  Ken has naturally darker hair, but he often dyes it red either partially or completely. He also wears a demonic mask while in matches or interviews. The mask itself is a mix of the demons from his birth home (Japan) and his personal favorite El Diablo where he grew up in (Puerto Rico, and for a time, Mexico).

Stage Appearance:

Appearance:

After a tough fight:

Attire: Along with his mask, Ken wears a red and black top, with black cargo pants. He also uses black tape for his fists.

Personality: Ken is a normal guy while in public, having trips to the store, and reading as pastimes. But, while ken is a nice guy normally, that changes in the ring. There he is tough and relentless. This change is caused by years of underground matches, where he learned that in a fight, second guessing could get you killed.

Past:
Ken grew up at an orphanage for years in Puerto Rico. And besides knowing his mother and father were from Japan, he knew nothing more about himself. While he desperately wanted to know about where he was form, the orphanage had little means of showing him. So instead of holding on to his Japanese hereitage, he decided it would be best to forget it, and see himself as Puerto Rican.

After years had gone by, Ken was never adopted, but he did end up getting a job at his orphanage for money. Around this time though, several punks in the area would start causing trouble. This caused the younger kids at the orphanage to be frightened. And in their fear they went to the only person who could help them, Ken. At first, Ken didn’t know why they asked him. Of course he was in good shape and was 17 at the time, but he had never fought before in his life. The children then explained that since he knew karate, Ken could beat them like Bruce Lee in did in the movies. Believe it or not, Ken’s long career in fighting began with racial stereotypes from a movie.

So, while he didn’t go to fight them, Ken at least thought he could get them to avoid scaring the little kids. While he was able to make them stop, it was not with a calm exchange of words. The three teenagers he talked to immediately tried to beat his face in. But after several quick punches and a kick to the head, the punks were in need of a hospital visit. Now while Ken wasn’t super strong or anything, he had the talent to tell how the punks would come at him, allowing him to easily counter each strike.

This experience led him to studying kick boxing and later participate in underground matches. These matches made Ken much more money, enough so he could fix up the orphanage and get an apartment. But when he turned twenty he could finally get his own TV, with cable too! (This was a big deal for him). The first thing that was on believe it or not, was an AFW championship match. Simply enough, the next eight months involved putting together some travel money, learning Japanese, and getting over his fear of planes (He ended up going by boat). Once he was there he realized two things, that he should have learned more words in Japanese, and that Japan had been where he was born. While he had just been born around the time his family moved, he was still shocked that it had slipped his mind for the eight months he had been preparing. So now, after all this time, he could finally learn about his birth place, and become a famous fighter. Things were looking pretty good right about now.

Fun Facts:

Ken is a huge soccer fan.

Lived in Mexico to see if he could handle moving at all before going to Japan.

Since coming to Japan, has taken a liking to alcohol.

He enjoys reading novels like The Shinning.

While he has kick boxing training, it only lasted six weeks before getting kicked out since the gym managers daughter like him too much….

Since he didn’t know his own last name, Ken took the last name “Santana” because it sounded cool

Ken also writes his own short stories that have a large following online.

The most notable one being “Diablo’s Fight Night” the story of a vengeful demon who decided to get some “retribution” on the murderers of a local boxer….

The followers believe this story’s setting is based off a town close by to his. Coincidently, there is a police report that says five men were killed in an underground fight club. Three of which were wanted for the murder of a local boxer’s son.

While no witnesses ever came forward, the local priest said that the he saw the devil that night, “As he came out of the building, with a broken bottle in his hand, the devil looked happy, as if he had done what he planned”
