Rainbow Mika vs. Anesthesia - The Dark Nightingale Returns

The referee was screaming in Anesthesia’s face, but for all the good it did her, she might as well have been trying to call the Moon. Anesthesia wasn’t looking her way, was barely even thinking of her. Her entire focus was centered on the annoying little waste of flesh beneath her feet.

Anesthesia hated losing, but she hated being embarrassed even more. She had a reputation to build, plans for the AFW, and they would never come to fruition if she wasn’t viewed as a real threat. It wasn’t too late to save face, however - she just had to make an example out of Mika. Something to get the locker room talking.

So wrapped up in the moment was Anesthesia that she made little note of the sudden cheer of the crowd, only bothering to look up at the last moment - when a mystery woman came roaring into the ring like a frieght train.

”What-” Was all she had time to say before she and Aisha were both sent flying away by...whoever this was. Anesthesia, still tired from her matches, needed a moment to get up, but her compatriot was fresh and feisty. Aisha popped back to her feet and came running at the new woman, throwing a wild haymaker to her face the moment she was close enough.

Mika, hurting as she was, was still hearing the ringing in her ears when Nadeshiko entered the ring-- all she knew was that the pressure on her throat was gone, and for some reason there was a tremendous, vibrating crash on the ring nearby. The fans, however, were ecstatic as Nadeshiko made her entrance, hitting both of the bad girls in the ring at once with and sending them flying.

As Nadeshiko spun to her feet, she saw that Sista A had rolled up and done the same. Her eyes narrowed as Sista A lunged at her with a punch-- a wild, angry punch. Her right arm chopped sideways, batting her new opponent's fist to the side, before spinning, aiming to let A's momentum carry her past her before lashing out with a spinning kick at the back of her head!

Regardless of whether the blow landed or not, the ref girl would choose that moment to intercede between them, demanding that the two of them get out of the ring. Nearby, the bell rang, signalling that the match had been brought to a premature end due to outside interference.

Sista A had no clue who this was, but she was certain the bitch made the worst mistake of her soon-to-be shortened life. She moved in fast, fully prepared to knock her the fuck out, and get back to the beating with an added volunteer.

That wasn’t what happened, though. Instead, her punched was deflected, and she got a kick to the back of her for her troubles. The referee was trying to seperate them all, but she didn’t really need to bother, since Sista A went rolling right out of the ring after the hit.

She flopped to the floor near Anesthesia, who’d made her way around the ring in the past few moments. Sista was back on her feet in a flashe, and she even began to charge the ring, but a hand from her mentor on her shoulder kept her at bay. ”Not today, dear.”

Anesthesia had figured out exactly who that was, and knew better than to try her with Mika in the ring. Best to retreat for now, consider alternate approaches in the future. There would be another chance.

She stared at Nadeshiko for a moment, before starting up the ramp with Sista A close behind. Retreating. Today.

Nadeshiko watched as the honourless pair retreated, resisting the urge to go chasing after them to punish them further. Vengeance could wait. Right now, her tag partner and friend needed her attention.

Mika was on her back, barely moving in a complete and utter daze. She had had it rough in her match with Anesthesia, and while the Rainbow Warrior had taken worse beatings, it didn't change the fact that she was in pretty bad shape at that moment.

She leaned over her friend. "Mika-san, are you alright?" She asked, already knowing the answer.

Mika's eyes fluttered open. "Yammie?" She groaned, using the nickname that she knew Nadeshiko hated. "What are you...doing...here..."

"Saving you," Nadeshiko replied.

Mika gave a weak chuckle. "Yammie, you didn't need to," she slurred. "I coulda taken them..."

"Right now, you can't even move," Nadeshiko sighed. Her friend was so stubborn sometimes it was ridiculous. "Can you try to get up at least?"

Mika seemed to try to make an effort, and then stopped. "But through mat is so comfeee..." she groaned deliriously.

Grumbling under her breath, Nadeshiko grabbed hold of Mika's arm and hoisted her to her feet. Supporting Mika on her shoulder, Nadeshiko made her way out of the ring, the two wrestlers hobbling to the exit to the cheers of their fans.

There would be a reckoning, Nadeshiko knew, but not today.
