Ryo barely felt a thing, the speedo-clad boy dazed, everything spinning around him, before suddenly going black, his body going limp as his head was planted hard onto the mat. He offered no resistance, quickly turned over and pinned...

"THREE!"

...for a full three count, the bell ringing as the match concluded.

He wasn't out for long, only a few moments, groaning as he slowly sat up, wincing, his head utterly throbbing, as if it had it's own heartbeat. He wondered what happened...but the sight before him as he looked up, of Dave being handed the Tension 24/7 Title belt, told him all he needed to know.

He lost then. His first title opportunity, and he choked.

Damn.

Still, Dave was a good guy, had worked hard, and earned his moment, after having it taken away from him more than once. As disappointing as it was not to win the gold, he couldn't really be mad at Dave for getting the best of him.

Weakly, he clapped, offering Dave a smile and congratulatory thumbs up, before rolling out of the ring. This was Dave's moment, after all, and he should have it. For now, Ryo was just going to limp his way backstage and hope for a nice warm shower.

The moment the hand came down for the three count, Dave froze. The whole arena had erupted in cheers, but it took him a minute to process what had just happened.

He....won......HE WON!!!!

The ref pulled him to his feet, handing him the title where he could see his own reflection in the shiny metal plate. As realization dawned over him, a huge smile split his face, and the young man dragged himself to the corner, holding up the belt with one hand and cheering, a few tears in his eyes. He realized that deep down, being champion was a gift, and he was going to cherish and love every minute of this!

Looking back at Ryo, who was making his way to the back, he tried to catch his eye and give him a thumbs up, a big grin on his face and appreciation in his eyes. This wasn't over for these two, and Dave was looking forward to wrestling Ryo again, no matter the outcome.
