Champion Against Champion - Akiha Kosha vs. Valley Doll

Ah, right, the ropes.

Valley cursed under her breath for making a rookie mistakes, starting up a good submission hold when you were too close to the ropes. She’d gotten a little overzealous, too eager to bring the pain, and this was the price she paid for it - left to her own devices, Akiha would break the hold in short order.

Simple enough fix, though.

Valley abruptly unwound her legs, slid off Akiha’s body, grabbed her ankles and began to rapidly pull her back to the center of the ring, dragging her hard and fast along the canvas.

The hold did not seem to last long, just as the crimson hair wrestler started to make her way to the ropes, she would be released from the hold. The crimson hair wrestler would take a moment to get some oxygen into her lungs and rub her chest, as of the moment that was hurting far more than her legs. Yet just as she inhaled, she would feel her legs being grabbed and then dragged into the middle of the ring before she even knew what had happened. That being said, Akiha wasn't going to lie their defenseless, she would attempt to pull back her leg, trying to bring Valley Doll closer to her. If this worked, she would then try to give her a kick to the chest, trying to send her towards the turnbuckle.

A little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more.

Akiha wasn’t at all a heavy woman, thankfully, so dragging her back to the center of the ring was an easy enough task - or at least, it should’ve been. Would’ve been. Could’ve been, if she wasn’t so stubborn about it and kept pulling energy out of her pretty little butt.

”Oh, come on-” Valley grunted, frustrated, as Akiha pulled her in with those slim but solid legs, then thrust out with surprising power. It was enough to send her staggering back, all the way into the nearest corner for a rather uncomfortable crash. Normally, it wouldn’t have been too big of a deal, but the match was taking its toll, and she needed a second to catch her breath as she leaned on the ropes.

Akiha was dragged to the center of the ring but she had enough time to recover which allowed her to pull back her leg and kick her opponent, sending Valley Doll into the turnbuckle. The crimson hair wrestler would then get into a sitting position before then pushing herself up and getting back on her feet. Usually, she would have done a kip up but her stomach and chest was still hurting a bit too much to perform such a move.

Now onto her feet, she would take a second to catch her breath and wait for her opponent to come to her as she got into a grappling position, ready for her opponent. “Come on, stop complaining and get over here.” said Akiha as she taunted her fellow champion.

Valley, despite being blonde and the numerous stereotypes that came along with that, wasn’t an idiot. When she hit the turnbuckle and stood stunned for a moment, Akiha didn’t come after and take advantage. Oh, she tried to play it off, making her think it was just a taunt. But she had her suspicious right from the start - the redhead was getting more affected by this match than she wanted to let on.

Regardless, if she wanted Valley, she was going to get Valley. Head-on.

She came out of the corner hard and fast, dashing straight out towards Akiha with all the speed she could muster. The moment that the gap closed, she came at her foe’s head with a high roundhouse kick.

Akiha was now on her feet, waiting for her opponent as she took a second to get some oxygen into her lungs before then giving a taunt to he blonde opponent. It seemed Valley would come charging right at her. The crimson hair wrestler would prepare herself and as her opponent got close, Akiha would set herself up to perform a roundhouse kick aimed at Valley Doll head. Yet just as she started to perform the kick, she realized her opponent was doing the same thing. It was too late for Akiha to duck out of the way, all she could do was follow through with her own kick and hope it connected with her opponent. Regardless if her kick connected, the Japanese Crusader would be hit hard in the head by Valley roundhouse kick, sending her down on the ground as she clutched her head gasping for air.

Every once in awhile, Valley had one of her Slo-Mo moments - little blips of time in the middle of a match where everything seemed to slow down, her senses heightened, and she became acutely aware of everything going on around her.

That happened now. Right now. As she lashed out with her leg for the kick, she saw Akika’s coming her way at the last moment, with such timed perfection most would’ve thought they’d planned it that way. She had no idea what was going through the redhead’s skull at the moment, but if it was anything like her thought processes, she was having a sudden sense of surprise, panic, and the dawning realization that she wouldn’t be able to do anything to keep it from happening.

Akiha’s kick hit like a sledgehammer on bricks, dropping Valley flat on her back and filling her world with stars. She writhed around, kicked her leg, and rubbed her nose, checking to make sure nothing was broken. Not the least bit pleasant, but it seemed like her pride had taken the worst damage.

Akiha was now down on the ground, dazed from the attack. Down on the ground, she would move her head a bit as she tried to gain regain her senses. The Japanese wrestler would open her eyes, only to see the lights above her spinning around. She would take a moment to close her eyes and take a deep breath before opening her eyes and then slowly rolling towards the ropes. It would take a few rolls and moments before she got to the edge of the ring.

Taking another second to catch her breath again, the Japanese Crusader would grab onto the ropes and use it to get on her knees. Holding onto the ropes, Akiha would then try to get on her feet and back into the fight after taking that roundhouse kick to the head. She was just hoping that she would get back on her feet before her opponent.

Okay. Calm down Valley. Think.

The Slamazon came to a rest on the mat, as she took a hot second to parse through her situation. Fighting Akiha was like taking on a rich, redheaded mirror, and bumping heads like this wasn’t going to get them anywhere - or, worse, it wasn’t going to get her anywhere. She didn’t want to take a bet on being able to outlast the younger woman when it came to stamina.

She needed to take the initiative, find some way to push an advantage over Akiha. She felt like she had a decent idea on that front, too, but first she needed to get  back on her feet.

Valley grabbed the ropes and started to pull her way, trying to catch up with the redhead as she did the same. She’d only got halfway up when she jolted forward and swung out with a wild punch, trying to clock Akiha square in the jaw before she could react. A simpler move than she mtypically preferred, but it would do today.

Akiha was now on the ropes, literally, hanging on to them to keep herself up on her feet. She would lean on them and try to gather her energy but before she could do so, she would be punched right in the face sending her down to the ground. The fact that she had just taken a roundhouse kick to the head, made the blow to the face far more damaging. The crimson hair wrestler would lay on the ground, exhausted and stunned from the attack. Her eyes were still opened but it was clear she wasn't in any fighting shape, as the only part of her body that was moving was her chest as she breathed in and out.
