SS 18: Katori vs Patrice

The match had indeed gotten off to a swift start, and Patrice wanted to keep it that way as long as she had the momentum on her side. Her little trick had worked well enough to get Katori downed with the clothesline, and that was a good reason to keep going. She wanted to continue with something effective, and a knee drop surely could have helped with inflicting pain on Katori...

Unfortunately, the blue-haired girl was no rookie, and Patrice was about to get proven just that. Apparently she had guessed what was coming, and by the time the blonde leaped up into the air, the Japanese girl swiftly rolled out of the harms way, sending Patrice crashing down on her knees! Her boots softened the impact just a bit, but still not enough to erase all the pain.

Now it was Trice's turn to be on her all fours. But she was still just as determined to keep the momentum of the match on her side! After a few seconds of quick recovery and decision-making, the French girl then turned her sights onto Katori again. Provided that she was not already attacking, the blonde would then spring up again and charge at her blue-haired foe, hoping to down her again, but this time with a Spear!

Despite the possible chance of Patrice being an experienced rookie whom has not had as much time in the ring as Katori has, the blonde actress has shown to be pretty cunning and bold in the starting minutes of the match. Having already both fooled the wrestle angel and bring her down in a simple 1,2 combo of a feint and a strike in proper succession. But it wasn't enough for Katori to stay down, obviously, so after hearing her opponent run at her again the angel quickly rolled out of the way to dodge her aerial move.

Seeing the actress hit the mat on her knees made the blunette wince, being a high flier herself, she understood the pain of messing up an aerial move whether from a counter or a dodge. Just thinking about it made her own abdomen feel a little pain after remembering an old match against Kazuki Aiba who countered her Moonsault Press and stole the win in the last minute, ouch.

Shaking the memories away, Katori used this chance to recover and stand back up again, needing to get herself back in the game. Looking over towards her opponent, she sees Patrice just now fully standing up to charge at her once again. It certainly was bold to use the same tactic twice in a row, and the Mighty Successor was very ready this time.

Katori will widen her stance as she let the actress come to her, she braces herself as she takes the direct Spear. Once she was hit, the angel will grunt as brings her arms around Patrice to catch and stop her then takes a step back to strengthen her stance after being pushed back slightly to keep on her feet. After both the girls come to a dead stop, Katori will press this chance as she'll throw a leg up to knee Patrice hard in the chest twice followed by her bringing her arms up to come back down on Patrice's with a Double Axe Handle to drop her down!

Did Patrice have any reason to be afraid? Definitely not! Despite the high stakes of tonight's match, despite the fact that her opponent was clearly a veteran compared to her, the French Actress could find no reason why she couldn't come out on top of this battle. She could find no reason why she shouldn't have just pressed on as hard as she could. She had gotten off to a good start, and she should keep it that way. Despite her drop missing its target, it was far from the end of the world.

Patrice could guess that a similar trick that she had already used might not work this time around, so she had to raise the stakes, and the roughness of her moves accordingly. Katori was not a big girl, and the blonde was confident that a fast Spear could well do the trick.

Unfortunately, as Trice neared her opponent, she could see her preparing for the impact. But that only meant that she had to get some more power behind her move... Besides, it was already too late to change her plans anyway.

But the Actress'es plans turned out not to work as she had predicted. Instead of sending her opponent to the mat, Katori managed to halt the blonde's movement, and the both of them were still standing. Patrice was definitely surprised - apparently the blue-haired girl possessed more strength than the blonde had judged.

"Wow, you're not as we- UGHH!!!" the Actress'es line was cut short by Katori's sudden knee to her chest. And to add insult to injury, another one followed. Air was driven out of the blonde's lungs, but the Japanese girl was far from done. A hard double axe handle impacted the blonde's back, sending her immediately on her all fours right next to Katori. The series of blows meant that for the following moment, the French girl was an easy target for Katori.

With all that has been done so early in the match, courtesy of the actress wrestler Patrice, Katori was very impressed with her opponent for both her cunning tactics as well as how bold she is. She may need a bit more training and polishing with her technique, and after that she'd be a top class wrestler in no time! But enough of the praise, as the Mighty Successor needs to take her down on this grand stage to rise up!

Katori had pushed herself back up after avoiding what would have been a rather painful aerial move, Patrice had gotten back up just as quick if not quicker and tried to Spear the Wrestle Angel to the ground. As the blunette was ready, she caught the blonde actress in her grasp and then floored her with a Double Axe Handle before her.

Now it was her turn to be flashy fancy. The second Patrice dropped on all fours, Katori spun around and dashed towards the ropes then bounced back towards her opponent. On her return trip, the Young Angel did a light short hop to land both feet on Patrice's back to launch herself up off her and flip backwards in the air before coming right down on top of the bombshell's back with what Katori likes to call the Running Springboard Moonsault!

Patrice had wanted to keep the match going as explosively as it had begun, and maintain her control over the situation. But unfortunately, she had underestimated Katori's skills and power, who had managed to counter her Spear attempt! That already had surprised her, but then the Japanese babe had begun showcasing her striking game, promptly driving the air out of the French girl's lungs, and sending her down with Double Axe Handle!

The blonde needed a moment to recover, and she was hoping that Katori would grant her one. For a couple of seconds the French girl actually had high hopes of that as the blunette seemed to be nowhere to be seen, but then she realized hearing rapid footsteps closing in on her from behind! And as it turned out, Katori was not happy with just showcasing her sriking game, she wanted to show off her aerial game too!

Patrice let out a cry of pain as the blunette's boots smacked against her back, pushing her opponent up high in the air. And while she couldn't quite see what Katori actually did, it was something still quite unimaginable for her as she ended up splashing against the blonde's back! The French Actress was immediately flattened against the mat beneath Katori's body, who was clearly getting the upper hand of the match for now.

Katori continued to do everything she could to keep the match under her control as much as possible, needing to ride this momentum through and own it all. Having demonstrated her superb and talented skills to flatten Patrice on the ground with an improvised Moonsault using the blonde bombshell as a springboard. It was certainly a unique tactic for all to see, and a crowd pleaser one no less, as the audience is cheerly loudly for the Mighty Successor after that aerial spectacle.

Now with the angel laying on top of her opponent, she had many options to choose from. Maybe a submission? Kick her while she's down? Slam on top of her again? Nah, all that sounds too rude, with the exception of the first option though. No, Katori had something else in mind, more simpler and flashy as she pushes herself up to her feet.

With a smirk on her face, Katori grabs Patrice by both her head and a shoulder to force her back up. She'll keep her upper body hunched over facing her front as the wrestling actress is back on her feet, to which the angel will wrap and lock her arms underneath Patrice's behind her back, she'll just stand there for a few seconds as she shouts to the crowd to pump them up and let the woman take in the situation. Now, with all of her strength, Katori will pull to lift up the actress into the air and over her as she aims to slam her back first into the mat with a Double Underhood Suplex!

Patrice did not know for sure weather Katori was the type that loved being in the spotlight, but based on her last couple on moves there was a fair chance of it. Well, granted, the fact that she was a wrestler was probably already telling enough of loving the spotlight... But as the match had gotten off, the French Actress herself had done a good job with stealing it from the Japanese veteran! However, by now it was obvious that Katori was yearning for gettin the spotlight back at herself...

And frankly, she was having tremendous success with it. Despite all the pain it caused her, Patrice had to admit that the improvised springboard Moonsault was definitely a magnificient masterpiece of showmanship indeed, and she could hear that the crowds did not disagree with her at all. But that only meant that she should herself make double the effort, once she'd be recovered and gotten back up again!

Apparently, Katori was eager to aid her with the second part. The blonde's recovery on the other hand did not seem to be high on her agenda, as the blue-haired girl pulled the French Actress up a tad too early for the blonde's taste... But that was OK. Patrice could have just delivered a strike to her midsection, right?

But before she knew it, Katori had already locked her in an immobilizing hold! Fighting back was not an option anymore, and Patrice could not know for certain what her blue-haired opponent was up to. And she was sure to build up the tension, before finally she started lifting the blonde up for the suplex! There was nothing the French girl could have done to stop it, and her back slammed promptly to the mat, sending it even further into aching! The French girl needed to catch a break now, and she hoped to achieve it by rolling away from her opponent towards the ropes...

Katori was on fire right now, and it felt good for her! Having taken back the advantage and momentum of the match, and she wanted to keep it that way for the time being. Having showed off a fancy improved Springboard Moonsult to keep her opponent down, followed by forcing her up and throwing her with a Double Underhook Suplex, the young angel was on a roll! As the adrenaline kept flowing in her system while laying on her front after pulling off the suplex, Katori started to push herself up to her feet.

While she did so, she sees Patrice roll away from her to get distance from the Mighty Successor and use the ropes for help. All Katori can do right now was smirk in amusement, as she started to push herself back up from being on all fours, she decided to be a little bit generous this time.

If the French bombshell babe hasn't made an effort to stand up, at least from the all fours position, Katori will walk over to Patrice and grab her under her arms to force her up to her feet. Then with a grip on the woman, the blunette will twist herself as she drag her over to the nearest corner then twist herself to 'throw' Patrice into the corner for her to lean against as Katori backs away from her, letting the audience contemplate on what the Mighty Successor has in mind for her opponent.

But with the amount of force she used for that tactic, it would hardly hurt Patrice, but the impact of being shoved into the turnbuckle would still be present for her to experience.

Patrice was rolling away from her opponent, and finally reached the ropes. Glancing over at Katori's direction, the blonde noticed that the blunette was not in hot pursuit. Not yet anyway... That allowed her to get a brief moment of recovery. One that Patrice direly needed, despite the fact that this match was still quite young.

The French girl had to admit a couple of things though. Katori was clearly demonstrating why her place was in this type of event. The Mighty Successor was skilled, extremely skilled to be accurate, tactically smart, courageous and fan favorite. PPVs such as Summer Splash were definitely her home turf. And Patrice on the other hand? Well, she had to admit that despite her good start, she still had a lot to prove in this kind of event.

And proving her worth should have started now. There was no time to waste anymore. Especially as Katori had now begun making her way towards her...

Taking support from the ropes, Patrice was in turn making her way up. She wasn't sure what the blunette was up to - clearly she wasn't coming at her with great speed. So there was no reason to prepare for anything specific...and she wouldn't even had had the time to, before Katori began dragging her towards a corner. And before the French blonde knew it, the Mighty Successor had thrown her against the turnbuckle!

So, what was Katori up to now? The impact against the turnbuckle hadn't been nice, but far from devastating. The blunette obviously had to have some further plans. What they exactly were, was anyone's guess. However, Patrice was laid out in the corner there, and had to prepare somehow. Assuming that Katori would be soon coming straight at her, the blonde prepared to take support of the ropes, jump up and kick the charging opponent with both feet!

Out of nowhere, Katori had done something slightly unusual. She had actually decided to allow Patrice to have a moment of recovery in the corner after doing a successful string of moves to keep herself in the lead in the match. Some are thinking that maybe Katori is being too generous, others thinking she had something up her sleeve, it was hard to say what was going on in the Wrestle Angel's head. But one thing is for sure, the Mighty Successor hasn't dropped her grin.

After a few extra seconds of waiting and letting Patrice catch a breather, Katori starts to walk over to her opponent, wanting to grab her and pull of another move. But maybe she let the actress rest up a bit too much? While the Mighty Successor wasn't really in a hurry, Patrice thought she was.

She reacted in a way that assumed Katori was going in for the kill at rapid speed when it was only a somewhat calm stroll, with Patrice jumping up and shooting both her feet at the angel which lands hard on her chest! "Ugh..! Oof!" Katori let out after taking that Dropkick like move, having been knocked off her feet and landing on her butt in a sitting position.
