Like a walk in the park

" I enjoy watching people squirm and give a rather hopeless expression when they underestimate me and then are unable to even touch me! "

Shanari's eyes widen slightly as she tried to lift Sarah off her legs, growling lowly up at her.

" So, Sarah.. Here we are again.. You underestimating me as always... Maybe you need more pursuasion? Is that it? Should I beat the crap out of you, make you scream? You got two choices, Sarah.. Take my offer or I'll make sure you'll be the one landing in the hospital for days. "

Sarah gasped and spluttered, desperately clutching at Shanari's wrists to try and get them off. She could barely breath at all when Shanari lifted her clean of the ground. She couldn't understand what was happening. Sarah had never had so much trouble when dealing with Shanari, she always thought of it as a game. These thoughts combined with her recent streak of losses gave Sarah no confidence to even fight back. Sarah couldn't breath, let alone speak as she hung in the air, unable to answer Shanari.

Shanari kept Sarah off the ground for those few precious moments, glaring up at her with a wicked grin.

" I could end it right now for you Sarah, permanently erase your carreer from the AFW..And prove to you that no one gives a shit about you. "

Her eyelids slowly closed completely, easing on Sarah's throat and slowly moved the girl back down onto her feet and released her throat, mumbling over to her.

" But then I would be lieing about loving you, wouldn't I? "

Sarah fell onto her hands and knees as soon as she was released, coughing and hacking as she tried to get her breath back. She hatedbeing in such a position before Shanari but she didn't have time to worry about that. She was still having trouble mustering up the strength to speak again.

" You want to be that strong Queen of Brawl again, the tough chick no one can beat? The leader of the Era of Hell? You'll need me and you know it. "

Shanari took her seat back onto the bench, glaring out at the pond again and not at Sarah this time.

Sarah generally started breathing normally again, still on her hands and knees, seemingly ignored by Shanari. Sure, Sarah wold like to have that old spark again, the one that made her into the fearsome and invincible Queen of Brawl. But she kept telling herself she didn't need anyone's help to do it. She never did.

"Go....fuck yourself," she said, still short of breath.

Shanari would glare down at Sarah now and moved down to kneel infront of Sarah, cupping her by the chin to glare at her, her other hand bringing up to her hood and remove it, whispering soothingly to Sarah.

" Then.. This is the last time we'll meet.. I'd like to see you be your old self again but.. "

She'd stand back up and shook her head.

" Once I take a hold of Cerbera's jewel, your dream would probably be true, I will no longer know you. "

With that Shanari turned to walk over to the pond to pat one of the swans.

" So, Sarah. I guess this is goodbye. "

Sarah grit her teeth when Shanari took hold of her chin, not bothering to say anything to the Russian. That smug look on her face infuriated her to no end. And the way she spoke in riddles also pissed her off.

When he started to walk away Sarah didn't move from her position on the ground. His fists clenched into the grass, angry with Shanari, angry with herself, and furious with all that had happened. "You always were a quitter," she rasped. "A pathetic little girl crying for help...."

" Whatever makes you sleep better, Sarah. "

Shanari stood back up, pulling the hood over herself and couldn't help but chuckle as she slowly walked away from her.

" Maybe someday you'll understand what you lost, hmm? Farewell, Sarah. "

Sarah didn't respond to Shanari this time, allowing her to walk away unharmed. She was in no condition to fight the Russian tonight. Beaten down physically and emotionally, Sarah remained on all fours. She then buried her face ibto the grass, and screamed loud and painfully.
