Something Has To Give! Akane Saito vs. Lauren Fredericks

Lauren was still gasping for breath, her back throbbing horribly as she staggered up and had her hands held high by the referee. The crowd gave her a mixed reaction. Some were impressed with an old rookie trying to make her mark while some threw shade her way for being older, flabby, out of shape and not having the sexy appearance they were largely accustomed to. Lauren shook her head and waved a dismissive hand at the haters while embracing those who seemed to be her fans.

After a moment she lumbered over to Akane and offered to help her up. "Hey... y-you really pack a nasty punch..." She said, still catching her breath.

At the sound of the bell she still hadn't moved. Even as Lauren climbed off of her body and air slowly returned to her lungs she remained mostly motionless. The sound of the crowd hadn't reached her, and even Lauren addressing her directly had gotten a response. The referee knelt down beside her, giving her a quick once over. Breathing, still had a steady pulse… she just seemed to have passed out. It could have been from pain, but the more likely scenario was just not getting enough air in those final moments. Lauren had done quite the number on her. Now didn't seem like the best of times to drum up conversation with her, understandably so.

When Akane was still laying there Lauren just backed off figuring she needed time to recover. Lauren was a very big lady so she may have squashed the air out of her. She stepped away and nodded to the crowd as she stepped through the ropes and began to make her way up the ramp towards the locker room. Akane may have looked like she went down easily but Lauren felt as though it wasn't the case. When she was able to hit back Lauren felt it, and knew Akane could hit well above her weight class.
