Responsibilities:

Eros, also known as The Warden, is seemingly responsible for entertaining Gaia’s immense audience at the FnF’s Announcers Table! Whether that be through commentary of the tournaments unique and terrifyingly powerful competitors, or simply conducting interviews and constructing skits with the up and coming talent the world of FnF brings to the viewers! Her charm, charisma, and flamboyant nature makes her an easy person to listen to which has lent itself well over the past few months of announcing.

But, behind close doors and hidden away from the public The Warden holds a position that fits her title much better. Security at the FnF facilities has to be top notch and consistently monitored. Not all competitors are fair or kind, and it is her staff that go about ensuring no preventable harm can come to audience members watching the spectacle. She supervises the comings and goings of each competitor in secret, looking for anything that could lead to a dangerous situation down the line as well as ensuring all match stipulations are fulfilled. Her staff have even been known to lock up considerably dangerous competitors. Borderline Monsters lay behind her brick walls and locked cells, with herself caring around the keys, just waiting to be told to unleash them for a fight.

Appearance:

The Warden is a thin, nimble young looking woman with sharp eyes and a soft smile. Her messy white hair is often hidden away by a wide brim black hat that she wears frequently, with her wardrobe consisting of a black suit, tie, and white skirt. Her clothes allow her inhuman features to slip through, with two small ears protruding from the brim of her hat, and a long black tail slipping out of her skirt. While they can be difficult to spot, she has other feline features such as elongated canines, thin pupils, and bright yellow colored eyes.


Personality:

On the Announcers Table, Eros is an incredibly energetic personality filled to the brim with excitement and wonder about every battle she will get to witness that night. Like a fan, she seems to have interest in every competitor that steps into the ring and has a backlog of fun facts and knowledge about either one of the fighters or at least the combat history behind them. She can be a bit overbearing, but can often get the crowd into the events unfolding in the arena. Perhaps it is due to her natural showmanship and flair she so often brings to the table.

But when the cameras are off and the audience goes home, that showmanship takes a turn. Rather than the sweet and charming announcer, Eros becomes a teasingly cold, somewhat cruel taskmaster that takes advantage of the power granted by her position in security. Whether it's bending the rules to suit her own needs or spying on the people she claims to admire, Eros does it all in the name of “safety” and falls asleep at night thinking what she does is just. Even if that means imprisoning and locking away some of the more troublesome competitors. So long as the fights stay entertaining and the audience doesn’t get hurt, The Warden is apathetic towards the people who actually go into the arena and fight.

Past/History:

Like all Bakenekos, Eros started her life as an average everyday kitten. Born in an alleyway right under a dumpster in a dingy world she can’t remember. The only thing Eros can remember from before was that food was always scarce and kindness was even scarcer. Everyday was a struggle in her previous world where it seemed anything and everything could go wrong all at once. When everyday was a struggle, a war just to find a warm place to sleep and a scrap of food to eat...well, she couldn’t have lasted long.

The first thing she could remember...really remember after being reborn was just how hungry she was. Her new form, her body was different from the one she had before. This one was bigger, stronger, and had the vocal cords to help her speak her true intentions. She could remember how much easier it was to obtain food! Swiping a whole loaf of bread before sprinting down the streets and escaping over the gates, through buildings, and even through people's homes. It was harder for her to hide and her appetite was larger, but for the first time ever, she did not sleep with a growling stomach every night.

The specifics of her early days in Gaia are all a blur, with one day churned and stained with the previous day's antics and washed away by the next. The only day that really stood out amongst the others was the day she was caught.

It was a stupid mistake. She took a right when it should have been a left and without knowing it ran right into the local security guild. She had already eaten half the loaf of stolen bread before she even realized where she was and that only came because they slapped some binding cuffs on her. She had no money, no family, and no home. It would have been easy to simply toss her into a cell and forget her. But that isn’t what actually happened.

Proficient Sergeant Haruk Zuul, a dullahan that had spent some years in the security guild, ended up taking a liking towards her. It was not difficult to convince his superiors that she would be in better care at his estate rather than rotting in a cell tank. In just a few weeks, she had gone from living in nothing but the streets to apparently having a home with a bed, three squared meals, and a teacher willing to help. Of course, she tried to escape many many times. She didn’t trust the dullahan, nor anyone who gave out kindness for free. But being in a security guild members home meant that escape was nearly impossible if they did not want you to. And so, she stayed. Haruk gave her the name Eros, the first she had ever received before, and began to raise her in a type of student/teacher relationship.

The two spent many years together, Eros’s body growing almost as fast as her mind as Haruk taught her everything he could. As a member of the security guild, justice, fairness, and due process were extremely important teachings in the household. Eros absorbed it all and more, digging into the dullahan’s library and reading about the laws of the land as well as stories about the various heroes in the world of Gaia. It wasn’t all that long into adulthood that Gaia asked to be entered into the security guild as a novice, which she was accepted into. Haruk had been transferred over as a consultant to a private company that promoted fights and entertainment, leaving Eros with no conflict of interests as she worked hard to raise her rank in the guild. Day and night, she studied and worked hard until her body ached and her brain would shut down from lack of sleep. It took her years, but she finally achieved another level in rank all the way from “Novice Cadet” to “Proficient Sergeant” just like Haruk was when they first met. Of course, Haruk had already long become an Expert rank in the security guild and decided to transfer away from the private sector. That left a rather big hole to fill, but no one wanted to take such a position. The fighting company was old, and most of its fighters in a sort of semi-retirement. It was a poor position to be placed in, due to the amount of work that would have to be pumped in. But the heads of the guilds had already made their decision.

Deciding to test her mettle, the Guild allowed her to take Haruk’s place as a security consultant and staff member of the FnF fighting tournament. She would be put under a lot of pressure, with goals of reviving the once dead entertainment revenue as well as helping to secure and attract new talent. She would be monitored by her superiors at the Security guild, and have to play nice with the heads in charge of the tournament. It was a far cry from the classrooms and patrols she had grown used to in her days, but a task she accepted without hesitation. This was finally an opportunity to enforce order in a world that seemed to be lined with random chaos.

It’s in my nature- As a Yokai, Eros has a subconscious desire to cause trouble for others. Whether it be through teasing, dropping hints about locker room rumors during an interview, or stoking a rivalry between two fighters intentionally by probing for a reaction! She justifies it as Entertainment.

Serve the people- Eros’s main concern is for the audience and the viewers of the FnF rather than its fighters. While she will certainly help them, if a brutal match is making headway in viewership or audience reaction, then she may be a bit slow in her response time. However it is worth noting that no deaths or serious injuries have occurred under her watch.[/b]

Not black and white, but Grey.- Eros genuinely doesn’t see anything she does as wrong. Her spying, lockup, and stereotyping of competitors is all to ensure things around the company stay safe and standing. She doesn’t enjoy being pessimistic, and hides her sneaky tactics and concerns to the point of being nonexistent! Few really know what goes on behind that mind of hers, and whether she has a noble goal executed immorally or a simple misuse of power is made unclear by her.

Felis: A young enigma thrown into Eros's employ, Felis is a new up-and-comer that the mighty Overseer wants constant eyes on. With the strange ability to stop time on her side, the young Warden In Training is constantly pulling pranks on her fellow staff, with Eros herself being the only one immune to such antics. With the Head Warden already plenty busy, Felis might be the only person who can consistently throw a wrench into her plans!

Wild: Wild is a fiercely loyal Warden working directly under Eros herself. If ever Eros needs something important done, Wild is the Warden that won't let her down! The Head Warden shows some clear favoritism towards Wild, allowing her to slack off work or get away with petty offenses. The two appear to be very close, with Wild more then willing to go the extra mile for Eros and in return, Eros being there for Wild whenever the Tiger is in need of assistance. While the two appear to be friends, many staff members doubt Eros's intentions and harbor jealousy over Wild's high status. As such, most staff isolate the Tiger Woman even when she is on patrol...leaving Eros to be her main contact in the world of Gaia.
