Sibyl Ragnild (D) VS. Sister Lucia

Sibyl was currently focusing on getting back to an even position in this match so she could show that she was the better wrestler of the two women. Right now, that should mean playing slower and not getting drawn into her opponent's much faster pace.

Lucia dashed away before Sibyl got her feet but it was hard to believe she did not want to press this advantage. Sibyl started getting to her feet with that in mind, keeping everything important protected to mitigate incoming damage that Sibyl was sure Lucia was hoping to bring. As if on que, as soon as Sibyl got onto one knee the blonde nun had flown back in to try and land some additional attack.

Sibyl had no intentions to make it this easy for Lucia; the difficulty of a match against a speedy opponent was just rearing its ugly head for Sibyl. If she could just get a grip on the nun, Sibyl had every confidence she could take full control of this match; but that was easier said than done at the moment. The problem was that Sibyl did not want to play defense until the perfect moment arrived: she wanted to take control of the match right now. Sibyl had to decide whether she wanted to let Lucia stay in the control seat for this match or if she wanted to take big risks to turn the match around.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained Sibyl decided.

Sibyl would take that risk as Lucia came flying back in towards her: instead of trying to block the move and hope that she could just tank the strike, she would try to use the momentum as Lucia stepped down onto her knee to lean forward so she could warp her arms around Lucia's standing leg, trying to finally get a solid hold on her opponent and hopefully bring her down to the mat! If Sibyl's timing was not good, she had just sacrificed her chance to block the strike and would be likely to get slammed down on the mat hard herself.

The match was only just beginning and Lucia was already starting to feel the holy spirit, a righteous energy surging through her as her feet raced across the ring. It had been a good while since she had the chance to cut loose like this. Her first match against those Harlot hoots had been a decent way to slide back into things, but it was a mere refresher course, a way to whet her appetite and get the gears moving again. Today, she was starting to feel more of her full form, a hint of the woman she had been before, only bolstered by her fervor.

It was a wave of strength, a boldness that she brought with her every step, moving to Sibyl’s knee, launching up, and-

”Hm!”

In her haste, she had assumed Sibyl was sufficiently worn down, that she would be easy prey. This turned out not to be the case at all, as the woman snatched her out of the air with surprising ease and brought her to the floor, hammering her into the mat. Far from the most enviable position, and one she needed to find her way out of.

Thankfully, she was not without her own means of defense - namely, her two legs, which were still in a decent position. Though she was on the bottom, she could still bring them around Sibyl’s head and clamped down, squeezing with a tight scissorhold to try and take her breath away.

Sibyl had to resist letting out a whistle as she finally heard that satisfying noise of a body hitting the mat, and hard. God, that feeling would never get old. Especially against people like Lucia, Sibyl could not pretend that she did not get immense joy from watching them ragdoll in her hands after running their mouths. Usually from here, while their heads were spinning Sibyl had an infinite amount of options to play with her adversary. However from her current position, Sibyl did not have the leverage for the slam to rock Lucia's world the way she wanted to and the nun had no intentions of playing possum.

Sibyl should have expected it in hindsight, her opponent had been all offense right from the word "go" so of course Lucia was going to try and turn this around!

"There we-Guh!" As Sibyl leaned to move her hands up to hold Lucia by the waist she saw a flash of movement and all of sudden there was pressure on all sides of her head as the blonde locked her legs around Sibyl! Sibyl groaned in annoyance even as she felt her breath escaping, this is why quicker fighters were so difficult; you couldn't take the time to savor anything! Sibyl would take both hands off of Lucia's waist and use one to try and pry her opponent's legs apart and the other try and push herself up to as close to a standing position as she could. Sibyl did not want to be pulled down to the mat with Lucia still wrapped around her like this; plus if she could successfully get a little more breathing room, slamming Lucia into the mat headfirst this time sounded nice!
