SS22 Friction World Championship - Alaina Sanders (c) vs Julia Rogers

Alaina felt Julia kick out and while it wasn't surprising she had deep down hoped that this would have worked! The amazon wanted to change gears, but also keep things slower. Julia was down on the mat and Alaina wanted to keep the cowgirl right there. Alaina sat Julia up and moved to a sitting position behind her wrapping her legs around Julia's torso to squeeze with a body scissor as hard as she could!

That was only half of it, as she pulled Julia's head back and wrapped her arm around the front of Julia's throat as she put in a chokehold to complete the dragon sleeper and continue sapping Julia!

As impressive as it always was watching Alaina toss people around the ring with her powerful arms, Julia knew all too well the Amazon's legs were every bit as dangerous. It wasn't that long ago that the champ had submitted her in a spar with a reverse headscissor. Nice as the view had been, the cowgirl very clearly remembered the intense pain those thighs had inflicted, and how hopelessly futile her escape attempts then had been.

Because of that, panic flashed through her masked features as Alaina's legs came clamping around her midsection, quickly replaced by an expression of pure agony reflecting just what she felt when those legs began pouring on the squeeze. Instinctively her hands went to push down on Alaina's thighs, but when she leaned back it inadvertently put her right in position for Alaina to apply the dragon sleeper and complete her combo hold!

The cowgirl's legs kicked and thrashed while her hands pulled uselessly at the champ's forearm. This hold was dangerous enough that many women in this league had put it to use as a consistent and reliable finisher, and a woman as strong as Alaina applying it only made it that much stronger! Julia was rapidly running out of both air and time as she struggled furiously.

Alaina felt Julia struggle, so she tensed her own arms and legs more! Alaina was giving it her all, leaning back and letting out a loud war cry of a scream as she was giving this hold everything trying to crush the life out of Julia to make her submit! Sure her modified jungle shooter variant of the sharpshooter was her best submission hold but the dragon sleeper was a very close second.....

Alaina was all in on this hold, keeping Julia trapped and hoping that this was it!

Julia’s struggles were amounting to absolutely nothing. The legs and arms coiled around her like a python were far too strong for her to even budge, and there in the dead center of the ring they were much to far for the ropes to be a realistic option. Even if that distance were halved, it was unlikely Julia would’ve been strong enough to drag them both close enough to reach out and touch them.

Then, as if the situation wasn’t dire enough, Alaina suddenly cranked back and upped the unbearable pressure even more! Julia’s lips opened to scream in agony, but all that escaped was pitiful wheeze strained and muffled by the force constricting her neck. She couldn’t breathe. A tingling sensation filled the tips of her fingers and toes, and flashing spots started to form in her vision. And as the cowgirl inches closer and closer to dreamland, one hand weakly rose, as if it might start tapping any moment.

…But then that same hand balled into a fist, and Julia slammed the elbow of that arm down into Alaina’s side as hard as she could! Again and again she desperately repeated this, hoping to force the Amazon to ease or release the grip on her sleeper just a little. If she could manage that, Julia would thrust her hands back against Alaina’s shoulders while pushing up with her legs to make a perfect bridge! She’d have to endure the crushing pain of the body scissor a bit longer, but if this worked she’d force the champ’s shoulders to the mat for a surprise pin attempt!

Alaina grit her teeth fighting through the pain as Julia was striking away at her! The amazon was so focused on weathering that storm and keeping the hold locked in that she didn't realize the shift in their position.

"ONE!"

Alaina's eyes opened wide as she was now being pinned! She wasn't going to get a submission or KO out of Julia before the count hit three so right before the two count Alaina let go of the hold shoving Julia away and onto the mat to get to her feet. Julia was still down so Alaina ran to the ropes and tried again to pull off a springboard move, this time as she hit the middle rope she spun around and extended her legs looking to come crashing down on Julia with a leg drop!

Julia let out a gasping breath, followed by a brief coughing fit as she was sent rolling away from Alaina. She might not have scored the pin, but her resourceful tactic had earned her freedom from that torturous hold, and that's what mattered.

Coming to a stop on her back, she happened to be facing the ropes Alaina ran toward. Still recovering her breath, the cowgirl probably wouldn't have been able to do much about what was coming if she noticed any later. But recognizing the danger this soon, she immediately grunted aloud while shoving herself into a roll, moving herself out of harm's way and leaving Alaina nothing but the canvas to slam her leg onto!

Alaina came crashing down... on the canvas! Julia rolled out of the way leaving Alaina for a rough landing on the canvas that leather howling and stumbling up to her feet her hand rubbing her tailbone as well as the back of her thighs! The amazon was stunned and staggered after her miscue giving Julia a chance to counter attack and rebuild her momentum.

Saved for the moment, Julia heard a steady, rhythmic clap rising in the crowd. They all saw the same opening, a chance for the cowgirl to turn the tables and put herself back in control! But it wasn't as easy as just springing up and flying off the ropes right away. She needed to buy herself a bit of time first.

Fortunately, the Amazon's failed leg drop offered a bit of inspiration. Pulling herself up off the mat with a groan, Julia made her way to her stumbling foe. Quickly she went to grab the boot of her bad leg and tuck it under her arm, before then dropping down while rapidly spinning her body, intending to twist the leg with a sudden and painful dragon screw!

Alaina was pulled up and hopping on one leg shaking her head as she reached her arms forward in front of her. She didn't know what was coming and even if she did she was powerless to stop it! The amazon spun and was flung her leg twisting as she groaned in pain upon her landing on the mat leaving Alaina grabbing at the leg while rolling about on the mat. Things were not looking good as Julia was opening the door to another explosive run!

Following her successful dragon screw, Julia quickly rolled to the side and picked herself up, watching Alaina writhe on the mat. Tempting as to try to press the immediate advantage, she had something else in mind and was going to stick with it. The cowgirl adjusted her positioning, lining herself up to be facing the Amazon as she began getting up. And once the champ was back up to a knee, Julia would then dash forward and leap, stepping one boot onto her foe's upturned knee while sending the other leg toward Alaina's head in an attempt to pay tribute to the legendary Megumi Mutoh with a Shining Wizard!
