Ciara's Debut: Veteran vs Veteran (for psychopatrick88)

Ciara grinned a little as Rose complemented a bit on her fighting style, no matter how indirect or stoic it was. "Yeah, lucky for you, Rose," she joked as she put her own hands up in a guarding stance and circled her opponent, "My opponents in the field usually don't have enough time to dwell on how annoying it is."

She would try and dart in to feint a curving left, then suddenly shift her weight and fire off a strong straight right aimed to hit Rose solidly in the chest.

Rose snorted at Ciara's statement while she keeps her fists raised up as well. Her experienced eyes didn't leave her opponent for a second as she circled her. She waited for her to attack staring the SpecOp down.

"That's because I'm not your ordinary opponent!" She said as she darted in, and would try to slam a right fist for her nose while taking the strong right in the chest. "Ghn!!" She grunts as she takes the punch, but she was certain her punch would connect as well, and hopefully disorient the SpecOp after that fierce blow.

"Damn right!" Ciara declared as the two girls threw their blows at the same time. "Aangh!" Her head snapped back from the punch even as her own fist struck home, but she planted her feet and thrust a knee forward to try and take Rose in the stomach. Her vision spun a little and her equilibrium was off, however, so her counter was sloppier than she intended.

Rose refused to back down after taking the blow to her side, and would try to come back with an elbow strike to her cheek, as she's taking the blow from the knee. It nails her in the gut, but not dead on, so it didn't knock the wind out of her, but that didn't mean it didn't sting like hell. She still refused to back down, and would try to follow up the elbow strike with a headbutt of her own. "You're going DOWN!" She shouts as she throws her headbutt.

Ciara took the elbow to the side of her face and rolled with the blow, exhaling in pain with a low hiss, but she felt a surge of satisfaction as her knee struck Rose around the abs somewhere. Her small victory quickly faded as Rose launched her follow-up, but the soldier girl tucked in her chin and lowered her head so that her opponent's headbutt would crash against the toughest part of her skull: her forehead.

She grunted as Rose's forehead slammed into hers, but she countered quickly and decisively. Whipping her left arm around so that her elbow rested on Rose's shoulder, Ciara latched onto the back of Rose's head and kept the bounty hunter's forehead tightly pressed against hers. Then she thrust her right arm forward so the muscle of her forearm would drive forcefully into the other girl's throat. Trying to maintain the momentum that this counterattack would cause if successful, Ciara would then drive forward in this position, trying to keep Rose off-balance and focused on her air passage, aiming to drive her opponent all the way into the ropes.

"Grh!!" She groans as Ciara tucks her head in, and stagged back, clutching her own heard. Before she knew what was going on next, she felt herself being pulled back in, and then gagged as she took a forearm to the throat, and as she was pushed backwards, she ended up losing her balance, and fell flat on her ass from being pushed back, falling just in front of the turnbuckle. "Damn it!" She shouts angrily as she falls.

Ciara had been deeply focused on driving Rose into the corner, and the military girl was too locked up with her opponent to disengage in time. Her grip was still firmly centered around Rose's neck, and before she could do anything about it, her own hold had yanked her off balance. Ciara yelped as she fell forward with Rose, her body slamming on top of the other girl as they hit the mat together.

She quickly tucked her chin to the side and into Rose's right shoulder so their skulls wouldn't collide painfully, but the air escaped forcefully from her lungs with the unexpected impact against her body. Ciara tried to act quickly afterwards and rolled to the left, aiming to put some distance in between her and Rose so neither combatant would resort to groundfighting this early on in the sparring bout.

Rose wasn't expecting Ciara to fall with her, grunting as their bodies collided once they were on the ground. She shook her head, and tried to grab her just as she rolled to the left, barely missing her.

Her lungs were starting to burn now, and her body was getting sore. While this was supposed to be a spar, she wasn't about to ask to quit. It would show weakness. She would make Ciara call it quits first. She started to stand up slowly, keeping her eyes on Ciara the whole time.

Ciara moved away in the nick of time, but now her momentum was taken away by her slip-up. Her body was getting sore and her lungs a bit strained, but the soldier wasn't about to stop now. Raising both of her fists in a lowered boxing guard to protect her face with her arms and her chest and stomach with her elbows, she advanced cautiously, a step at a time.

Then her lips compressed into a firm line and her eyes changed from a searching look to a flat glare, the only warning Rose would get.

Ciara burst into motion, feinting to the left, the right, and then plowing straight forward, all in the space of a second. The raven-haired fighter threw her forearm forward to smash Rose in the jaw, then firing her left palm forward to hammer into her stomach. Then hopefully the rest of her weight would follow and hurl Rose into the corner where Ciara could work her magic.

Rose shook her head, and stood fully up to her feet, watching Ciara as she stood back up as well. Her fists were also up like a boxer's stance. She waited as she moved in closer, and closer. As she saw her expression change, she braced herself.

She watched her darting left, and then right. She'd try to preempt Ciara's attack with a fierce hook to the cheek, but if that missed, she'd end up getting the full combo, feeling Ciara's forearm crack into her jaw, then would be forced to bend over from the ferocity of Ciara's palm, causing her to choke out saliva while stumbling back into her corner.

The ex bounty hunter was really getting softened up now, choking out a bit of blood after taking that palm, and spat it to the side after she was knocked back into the corner.
