Hi... and a question

Well, actually, I have been posting here for several months, but I never bothered to introduce myself properly. Please forgive me, I am a chronic lurker at heart - but there was some top-quality writing skill on display here and I couldn't not get invloved. So hello.

Anyway, I still have a newbie question: what's with the ***AFW News*** thread in Promo? I mean, it's obviously long-dead, but was there no interest in having an ongoing summary of stuff that's happening? The little match reports look like a cool way of keeping track of events, and helping to decide which completed matches you want to read. You could even role-play an 'editor' girl as an alternative power figure to the comissioner or what have you.

It's very time consuming to go through and try and read through all the posts and see what's going on. Also, asking members to submit information doesn't always work either. We've tried that before. Also we've been pretty busy with other things around here as well.

It probably should be updated so it's at least a little more topical though. Thank's for letting us know, we'll try and see what we can do about it.

Okay thanks, I figured it would be too time consuming to read through everything (I certainly wouldn't volunteer to). For the record I would happily submit my own match reports/news items, but if there's not a wide take-up then I guess it wouldn't work.

I thought it would be quite helpful in conjunction with the new Friction rankings system, helping to add more cohesion and make it feel like a proper "championship". Maybe its less relevant for sex wars' skirmnishes, I dunno.
