The Serpent's first strike - Liana Wilson Vs Veronica Gannon

Liana began to move out of the corner and more towards the center of the ring to meet up with Veronica, her fists raised for a guard in case her opponent had any ideas, Liana was sticking to her street fighting roots, that style and those moves were rotted into her body over the years, while the wrestling moves were thing she thought out how and when to use them, her punches and kicks were all natural, like a base instinct.

Liana began to circle Veronica a bit, moving around a little to try and find a blind spot or something, Before she justed moved in, motioning as if she was about to send up a knee to Veronica's side, but then leg leg was raised half way of the ground, Liana slammed her foot down into the ground instead and came in with a powerful left hook aimed at Veronica's face instead.

Veronica was still regaining her composure when Liana came at her again throwing out that knee, but she was still alert to think about what she was doing. looks too short... the Brit thought What is she...shit! the merc realized what she was up to as she saw the serpent's shoulders move, quickly throwing up arms in front of her face to block the blow. Even if it did knock her back with the sheer force behind it... "fuck..." she growled.

Lina looked on as she managed to push the girl back, she had seriously underestimated The Serpent if she thought that just blocking a punch would give her some relief, Liana quickly stepped forth to Veronica to throw a quick and strong punch aimed at the girls chest, no matter if she had her guard up or not, because this move was just to make Veronica focus on her fist and not her leg.

As Liana would quickly after throwing her punch try and shot up a powerful kick to the girls side.

As Veronica was battered back, blocking the punch but the kick sailing painfully into her side, she briefly wondered how she was getting her ass kicked. She was one of the most feared women in the world, on more wanted lists than anyone else and yet this little girl was kicking her ass. "Dammit!" She growled, throwing off her jacket at Liana, looking for a distraction before she could get to work.

Liana was doing good, pushing back her taller opponent, street fighting was Liana's way of life, there was no doubt that she was great at fighting, wrestling was just a way of battle, for Liana, but street fighting was her life, that was how she grew up, that was how she got strong, and in a street fight, you have to be merciless.

Of course, one good way of stopping a street fighter was by blocking her sight and her disrupting her concentration, as Veronica's jacket came flying at her, Liana's instincts quickly kicked in and she jumped back and to the right, to get some distant and to get a clear view of Veronica.

Liana was focused on the jacket, even if she did dodge it. It gave Veronica the window she needed to charge at the Serpent and try to take her down to the mat. She might be kicking her ass standing up, but when a rain of punches comes from above... that's a lot harder to deal with as the British brawler tried to mount Liana so she could get some offense in.

Not that she'd ever admit that this was getting under her skin.

Liana got to distracted by the jacket, that she barley noticed when Veronica moved in and tackled her down to the ground, "Ugn!" Liana let out as Veronica took the top position, all she could do was raise her hands to guard herself from the girls blows.

This would not to for Liana, while she could fight just as well down on the ground as standing she was not in the favorable position here, and that would cost her greatly.

Veronica had the advantage, even if Liana had thrown up a guard. Grabbing one of them and twisting so she could get an opening to slam her fist into the serpent's face. She had to press this lead now, she was running out of clothes to use as a distraction.

Liana hissed as Veronica grabbed her arm and twisted it, before that fist came crashing into her face, Liana's face, she shook her head, and and gritted her teeth, "Fuck you!!" Liana shouted out as she could try and grab onto Veronica by her troth and squeeze on it hard, before trying to pull her onto her side to free herself from underneath the girl.

Veronica's eyes went wide as Liana seemed to try and deny her any form of offense, trying to rock the larger Brit off while choking her. But she'd been grasped by the throat before and the Serpent had no guard. Perfect time to smash a few hard punches into her unguarded face while using her size advantage to stay on top.
