Serious talks in a dark alley...

Natalia glared at Taylor for a handful of tense seconds. She was certainly not in the mood to deal with the blue-haired girl who surely had been sneaking behind her waiting for an opportunity to mess with her again.

...no..., Natalia thought. As much as she would had liked blaming Taylor for losing her only friend she knew she coudln't. She held her head with one hand as if it hurt a lot and closed her eyes taking another deep breath. She couldn't go around in life thinking everybody was plotting against her. Althought Natalia had grown up in a world were everybody was scheming; playing mind games and intrigues, and trying to manipulate the others, she knew the 'real' world wasn't like that. It couldn't be.

Taylor wasn't the schaming sort. This wasn't a complicated plan to make her miserable. They weren't plotting against her. Neither was Adrian. She couldn't think like that...or she was going to end like Adrian...again.

Natalia suddenly bursted into laughter, laughing mainly at herself. If she wanted to stay sane, she had to learn to trust people, she told herself. The Dream reached for her bike's keys inside a pocket of her jacket and threw them at Taylor. "Try not to kill yourself...that bike isn't for little kids... I'm going to get some food..." she said as she started to walk back to the diner.

Taylor caught the keys. "Does it come with training wheels?" She asked, as Natalia passed. "You're not getting this back, by the way."

She lingered a moment, contemplating the feeling she had, the gratification she felt from whatever had just happened. Natalia was still the enemy, it's not like she was trying to be her friend or anything. They'd be beating the hell out of each other in just a couple weeks. But... it felt right. Maybe this was more like how it should be with people.

She erased the faint smile from her face and pulled open the door to the diner to rejoin the eccentric crowd.
