Masane Tajiri's rebirth

A single light flickers in a dark room. A figure could be made out, standing her back to the camera, standing on some mats that look worn out from wear and tear. The room started to brighten a bit, showing the place was a wreck. A shattered mirror in the back, against wooden wall panneling, a chin up bar that was hanging from a single support, weights scattered everywhere, a punching bag with the stuffing falling out of it, and a wing chun dummy with a large majority of the arms broken off. There was also the figures of a few people laying on the ground in various rooms of the area, all looking out cold.


"I was one of the first fighters to debut here at the AFW." Spoke a familiar voice. "I've had my fair share of victories, and defeats. It's something that's to be expected of any fighting league. I cannot expect to win them all. The best you can do is learn what you can from your defeats, and move on. But there is one woman. One woman who's victory torments me every waking moment, even after I had left the league. A woman with no virtues, no sense of decency, no mercy, and no remorse for the unspeakable things she does, and yet, there has been no karmic retribution for the despicable things she has done. And now I hear she even holds the Friction World Title?"

The camera suddenly snaps to her fist, wrapped in tape, and stained from blood. Her fist tightens, and blood drips off her knuckles.

"I was a fool. Virtues and morals do not win you the match. It's about who is willing to inflict more pain. Who is willing to take it a step farther."

The camera cuts to the back of Masane's head, and slowly tilts down, showing her bare back, with a large red phoenix tattooed on it. It then snaps to a full body view of her back, her brown hair cascaded over her shoulders, her white loose pants faded to a grey.

"No more mercy. No more ridiculous matches. No more distractions." She declares boldly, and then turns her head to look at the camera.

"Sarah Gatt. With every ounce of my being, I swear I will return the pain and humiliation you have caused me tenfold!!" She shouts, her bold blue eyes having a fire to them that was unlike her usual friendly disposure. The camera then fades to black.
