Yvette didn’t care if she got hit. Bring it on. She could take whatever Lorenza threw at her and still fight her. That was exactly what happened. Lorenza traded blow for blow. Yvette would groan as each punch hit her sides. But Lorenza got as good as she deserved. The uppercut was good to watch though, watching poor Lorenza get hit. It was such a nice feeling. That girl was going down. Sadly Lorenza didn’t fall back, she did stumble though to the side. Yvette would go in regardless, getting ready to throw her own punch. From nowhere Lorenza would fight back with a nasty hook to the jaw.

The punch would echo. The thud it made sounded like it was echoing all around. But the force was deadly, the intent was lethal. Yvette would yell from the lunch, her forward momentum being stopped in its tracks. Yvette was naturally inclining towards gaming a step back. But the punch dictated what happened. Upon impact she took a step back as her face went to the side. The impact was strong enough to force the mouth guard out of her mouth again. It seemed that her mouth guard hadn’t been fitted well. But on the plus side while the ref wasted time getting it she could vent her mouth off at Lorenza again.

Bitch"That all you got, one hook? You wait, in a minute I am coming after you, you are dead. Dead bitch!”

It felt good to vent. That anger released out of her system. The ref would finally put the mouth piece back in but it was alright. She got her fix. Lorenza wanted Yvette well now it’s time to frustrate her. When the ref kick-started the fight, Yvette back peddled, mimicking the tactic from the last round, expecting Lorenza to come at her full pelt. If it worked, Lorenza would be charging at her and as she got closer and angrier, Yvette would dance to the side and prep her fist, throwing a right hook into her gut once she was out of the way. This felt good. This felt euphoric. Yvette had finally found her prime.

Lorenza was staggered, but she refused to let her smug little blonde opponent have the satisfaction of coming out of that exchange the winner! Yvette thought that she could stand toe to toe with a former world champion? With one punch, Lorenza would give her another lesson on just how out of her league she was! The punch hit Yvette's face with a satisfying, fleshy smack. It hit her so hard that it knocked her mouthguard out. While the referee picked it up, cleaned it, and put it back into Yvette's mouth, the blonde had a few seconds to start spitting insults at Lorenza again.

The Mexican boxer would growl, but ultimately, rather than getting angry in response, she would smirk and lift a glove to her face, rubbing it back and forth in one spot just beneath her eye, imitating the wiping of tears. Even with her mouthguard in place, the sound that she made to accompany the motion of her hand would be clearly recognizable to her young opponent. "Waaaahhh! Waaaahh!"

If Yvette was going to act like a little brat tonight, then Lorenza would treat her as such. Looking at the younger boxer, Lorenza could scarcely believe that someone her age was even eligible to step into the professional ring.

When the referee restarted the fight, Lorenza would move forward quickly, with Yvette backpedaling away from her just fast enough to stay out of Lorenza's striking distance. Lorenza would follow her at a fast pace, trying not to get ahead of herself in the process. Yvette was obviously looking for an opening, and, when she stepped to the side and tried to hook a punch into Lorenza's gut, Lorenza would step into it, robbing it of some of its momentum and putting her much closer to Yvette than she had been. She still grunted on impact, but the punch would not slow her down, as she would now try to throw her fist quickly forward, looking to nail Yvette in the chin!

A lot of people in the crowd were most likely questioning Yvette’s current ring etiquette. They would say she was being a kid or was being unsporting in what she was doing, but in reality she was venting that bratish attitude of hers she had developed over the past 10 years or so. The same attitude that her parents could not control. The venting was good for her. It was a heatsink letting all its heat out in one go. It called Yvette down and refocused her on the task at hand. Making her more determined than ever to win. Sadly, Lorenzas response to Yvette just caused that anger to build back up, audible growls coming from Yvette once her mouth guard was back in. So much for venting and keeping calm. As the match started again, Lorenza acted just like Yvette had hoped. Backpeddling away while Lorenza gave chase. She walked right into Yvette’s punch as she weaved to the side, just like Yvette had planned.

Yvette was feeling good right now, but Lorenza was about to try and spoil it with bed own punch, but just to Yvette’s smugness she had predicted it, that was why she moved to the side of Lorenza, the punch hitting nothing but air. Yvette had more foresight than most people gave her credit for. She was actually a half decent boxer. A sane boxer in Yvetttes situation would retreat. Take steps back and try their best to pepper the former world champion from afar. But in Yvette’s mind Lorenza had declared war, and Yvette planned on giving it to her. They were close to her corner, and with enough punching persuasion, maybe Lorenza could be goaded into going in there. So rather than retreat, Yvette went forward into the battle. She would get in close again, invading Lorenzas personal space and making sure that she felt uncomfortable. When she was close she would pepper Lorenzas midsection with two hooks each from either hand. The lower wasn’t relevant, nor was the location, as long as they hit and applied pressure on Lorenza. The main reason. She launched the punches was to set her up for something bigger. If they hit and she maintained her closeness, Yvette would try firing a right snap uppercut to her chest hoping to wind her enough that a consecutive left snap uppercut to the jaw would send her towards the corner. And movement from Lorenza was going to be mirrored by Yvette, making sure she kept that closeness at all times.

Lorenza's mocking of Yvette obviously had an effect on the blonde, and Lorenza derived no small satisfaction from that, watching as her opponent's face turned a little redder and she growled into her newly reinstalled mouthguard. It didn't really occur to Lorenza that her opponent's constant mouthing off may have been a result of an upbringing very much like her own, and that venting verbally was one way in which she relieved some of those less constructive urges when they cropped up. She might have felt a touch guilty about how hard she was laying into the young rookie were that the case.

Yvette's punch to her gut stung, but Lorenza retaliated almost immediately with a hard hook aimed right at her little blonde opponent's chin. Yvette, however, would show off a little of what might have been a truly promising boxing intellect, as she ducked to the side and let Lorenza's punch just slide up her flank, doing no damage save for maybe the tiniest of leather-on-skin skids. Yvette would not take the sensible path and retreat right then. Instead, she stepped forward and began swinging away, trying to nail the Mexican legend repeatedly in the tummy!

Lorenza would groan as she felt the first two punches land cleanly, but she would not let the next two, coming from the other side, meet with similar success. While Yvette pounded on her torso, she sensed an attack to the head coming, and so she would not try to avoid her foe's next two punches completely, but would instead keep her guard up and step slightly to the side and even closer to Yvette, their bodies almost pressing together as Lorenza stared hard into her opponent's eyes. She expected an attack to her head next, but Yvette threw her a curveball: she would instead throw a quick right uppercut right into Lorenza's chest! That was certainly a surprise, and Lorenza coughed a couple of times as she felt her chest stinging from the impact.

That was when the uppercut to her chin came. Lorenza, seeing it as it began its rise, knew she had to avoid it, but could not do it in any way that was graceful. Obviously, Yvette wanted to push her into the corner. If this uppercut landed, Lorenza very well might end up right there. There was no way to avoid the punch without giving up ground, either. But a small retreat was better than a huge knockdown. She would have to give up some to avoid the risk of losing everything. And so, Lorenza would hop back several steps, letting that uppercut whiff through the air, just grazing her cheek, moving back towards the corner with her gloves up in front of her face defensively.

Lorenza Saldano Vs Yvette King - Standard Boxing - Page 5 Empty Re: Lorenza Saldano Vs Yvette King - Standard Boxing

Yvette was not a bad boxer. She had begun to realise that many people watching this very match, might question her ability to box. It was only because she was fighting against a former world champion did it actually look like she was green. In reality she had been in plenty of Professional boxing matches (And some rather non-professional ones) and had done quite well in them, gaining herself a decent record, that while not outstanding showed she possessed skill. Lorenza was however showing that Yvette was good, but not quite good enough to compete at this level of boxing. Yvette's recent actions though seemed to disprove that slightly. While she had not exactly turned the match around, or made Lorenza bleed to death, Yvette had established herself and hopefully snagged a few points away from Lorenza, putting her in a somewhat better position to try and take the round.

While Yvette been good, Lorenza was better, even he she was taking hits. Lorenza did have a lot more stamina in the tank though, so these hits, while nasty and hurtful, wouldn't impact her level of boxing the way that Lorenza's hits against Yvette had done previously. And just to take a sweetness off the combo, Lorenza had avoided her uppercut and not gone into the corner. Granted she had taken a few valuable steps back, but it hadn't been the secret result Yvette had hoped for. She would take what she could get though. Incremental progress was still progress at the end of the day. Lorenza was only a good long step away from the corner and it was time for Yvette to seal the deal and end this bitch for the round.

Yvette knew that trying to attack now had risks. Lorenza volunteered those retreating steps. Her guard was up and she was ready. Going in haphazardly here would just result in a painful lesson of Yvette walking right into Lorenza's counter attack. So as Lorenza fell back, Yvette's guard was up too, like a shield to absorb punches. Hunching down slightly, that was exactly what Yvette would so, use her guard as a shield, covering most of the front of her face and torso. It was slightly awkward, but it looked effective. It seemed as if nothing was going to stop her though. Charging at her Yvette would keep the guard up so if Lorenza attacked her the guard would absorb it. Getting closer and closer Yvette would charge right into Lorenza's guard, trying to push her back into the corner. Whether or not it works or not, Yvette would throw jabs into the womans side, while trying to press her body as hard as she could against Lorenza, trying to keep the pressure up and trying to make it harder for Lorenza to fight back. Her heart was racing, it was getting closer and closer, getting to the point where Yvette could even establish dominance.

Yvette was certainly doing a good job. She was doing a great job, in fact, for someone whom had only just broken into the ranks of professional boxing. Even if Lorenza felt as though she was giving the young blonde opportunities that she should not have been, she had to admit that Yvette was putting up quite a fight thanks to her own merits, as well as any small miscues Lorenza might have made. If the blonde wasn't annoying Lorenza so much with her talk, Lorenza might have started taking a liking to her by this time.

Lorenza had not started off this round in the best possible manner. She scored a glancing blow or two, but that combination of Yvette's had forced her to fall back towards the corner, and now the blonde was coming at her again, obviously intent on backing the former world champion all the way into the corner and going to town on her. If Yvette could trap Lorenza, then no amount of champion-level skill on the part of the Mexican could compensate for that terrible position. She would lose the round, badly, and would even be at risk of being knocked down or knocked out. A boxer trapped in the corner invariably found themselves hard-pressed to keep up the fight.

So Lorenza was going to make sure that she wasn't backed into the corner. She stopped backing up and would move herself forward, into the advancing Yvette. The two women, trying to push each other in opposite directions, collided in a flurry of gloved fists.

It was not a wild brawl. They both had their guards up in front of their faces, bending forward slightly to try to protect themselves from the other. Their punches were carefully considered, and targeted each other's sides, primarily, from ther upper ribs down to their hips. As they pushed into each other, Lorenza would keep one glove up, protecting herself, at all times, while the other she would weild as a weapon, swinging that gloved right hand hard into Yvette's torso several times to try to force her back. At the same time, Lorenza's own flank was taking a pounding, with Yvette adding several bruises to Lorenza's body, eliciting a few grunts and even a groan or two from the Mexican boxer as she felt her side tenderized.

But she would not move back. She planted her feet on the canvas and would respond to every punch with a near-identical one, hammering away at Yvette to try to force her to back up, rather than allowing her to continue her advance any further!

The minute remaining in the round may prove to be a long one.

Despite Yvette's best attempt Lorenza refused to back down. She had hoped that the display of power and domination that Yvette had managed to summon this round would convince Lorenza to just take to her beating and let Yvette win. But it was not to be. Lorenza met her in the middle, their bodies mashing together as the two angered women mashed together. Yvette would start throwing her punches, but Lorenza was on ti as well, every punch she threw, she got one nasty one right back at her. Everytime she took a hit she would groan and grunt. Lorenza was starting to wear Yvette down again. Yvette didn't want to fall back though. So she needed to come up with a plan. And after taking a forth punch, Yvette made her move.

Yvette noticed Lorenza's guard, he could see that she was using a one arm guard. Yvette would use her right arm to push the guarding arm out of the way, giving Yvette, hopefully a perfect strike. Yvette Shot her leading left arm upwards, trying to hit Lorenza in the chin with blinding uppercut, hoping to catch the former world champion off guard. If the punch worked, and Lorenza stumbled back Yvette would be on her, every step Lorenza took back, Yvette would throw a jab to the face, keeping her reeling and reeling into the corner.

It was a long shot, but if by a divine miracle she managed to get Lorenza into the corner Yvette would start throwing a barrage of punches at the former world champion. The crowd didn't like it though. Most of them were fans of Lorenza and their tone changed when Yvette took control. Half of them were cheering for Lorenza to recover and fight back, the other half were booing Yvette. Yvette hated crowds. They could give you such a boost when they were on your side but when they were against you, it made everything seem like a bigger challenge. And right now the challenge was big enough without the crowd trying to make her feel worse.

The two boxers met each other body to body, and immediately began to throw their leather-covered fists at those toned, beautiful bodies, trying to break each other down completely. They both landed several hard shots to the other's body, primarily to their chests and their abdomens, but neither one of them was going to give the other any ground in an even exchange such as this, and continuing it was not going to prove anything for either of them. But Lorenza, though she was thinking about how to force Yvette back, was a little more confident in this exchange than her opponent, since she knew that she was much tougher than the young, sweet little blonde and could take more punishment. If their punches were equal, then Lorenza would win any even exchange.

Yvette wanted to change things. She had lost the first two rounds, and been knocked down, and she was about to make her bid to win the third. She brought her own guarding arm forward and pushed on Lorenza's, opening up a small avenue which her left fist would slip right through along. Lorenza was suddenly rocked by a powerful uppercut smashing into her chin, snapping her head upwards as her eyes widened. A few in the crowd gasped audibly as the former champion began to stumble backwards, her eyes wide. Yvette followed, and her first jab smacked a stunned Lorenza right in her face. Every other jab was either absorbed or dodged, but the damage was done, as Lorenza was pushed to within a step of being pressed against the turnbuckle.

There were still thirty seconds left in the round as Yvette began to rain punches down upon Lorenza, trying to pin her down with a barrage of devastating blows. Lorenza could not stand here and simply survive for thirty more seconds. She had to fight back. Gritting her teeth, the Mexican powerhouse would do something she didn't like to do. She would throw her body forward and try to wrap her arms around Yvette, hoping that a clinch would disrupt her opponent's momentum and throw off her rhythm. The referee would separate them almost immediately. But maybe she could clear her head and think some.

As the flurry of the punches carried on, Yvette could start feeling the bite of those body jabs of Lorenza's. Each punch was starting to chip away at her limited energy pool. Yvette was more than aware that this even exchange would end up in her defeat. It was why she was expending all her energy to try and tip it in her favour. The uppercut was the start of it, and the crowd knew that the second that uppercut hit, that things were going to change. Lorenza went back and finally, after three rounds of waiting, Yvette was going to up her game and give Lorenza a taste of her medicine. Former world champion or not, being trapped in the corner was hell, and you paid the price for it. She also managed to get a large amount of satisfaction from landing that punch to the face afterwards. It seemed like she was going to pull this off, Lorenza one small step away from the turnbuckle, one more punch should have done it. There wasn't much time left in the round however so she was going to have to make this one snappy.

Raising her fist to go in for the killing blow, Lorenza had a change of plan, lunging forward to wrap her arms around her and pull her into a clinch. Inside, Yvette was angry, anger building up as the Ref separated them and forced Yvette back to the centre of the ring, giving Lorenza just enough time to escape the corner and dance around the ring again. Her opportunity had been shut out and the crowd were mixed in their reaction to the stunt. The break up had also the effect of wasting time. With only 15 seconds left when the Ref carried the fight on. It was hardly worth Yvette risking the attack. SO instead she raised her guard and took a step back. Hoping that she could waste a bit of time and hope that she would win the round simply on points from getting Lorenza in the corner. But she had doubts she would win as Lorenza had put on a usual impressive display.

Lorenza hated having to clinch with her opponent, her bruised body grinding up against the equally hurt body of Yvette as the two of them struggled for position in the waning seconds of the third round. Yvette had Lorenza in the corner, and Lorenza's legs were starting to feel a little weak from the constant barrage of punches that she was suffering, even as she managed to deflect or dodge a considerable number of them. Maybe, when she felt herself tipping forward slightly, leaning into the blows, it was the best that she could do to just clinch with her opponent for that one brief moment and earn her freedom. Of course, it doomed her chances of winning this round. While she had been confident about the other two being scored in her favor, this one, clearly, was a win for Yvette.

Forgetting that pathetic display she had just put on, Lorenza would take a quick step out of the corner and into open space, shaking out her legs and loosening herself back up after being forced to take that brutal pounding from her opponent. At least she had not been knocked down. With only fifteen seconds left in the round, Lorenza did not think that she could bring this round back to even, but she might as well try. Putting her gloves up, Lorenza would move forward towards Yvette as the seconds ticked away. With ten left on the clock, Lorenza would fire a quick combination, a left jab and then a hard right hook, aiming high for Yvette's face, hoping to push her back and maybe create an opening.
