The Luck Of The Irish?

"I am up for whatever, the more the better!" Peggy cheerfully said as she ran into the locker room, acting like an excited child on their birthday.

"You heard the lady." Alaina said with a shrug as she herself went to change.

Peggy came running out in her wrestling attire: A one piece green swimsuit, green boots, gold kneepads and gold elbow pads. She was practically jumping in place, waiting with Julia as Alaina came out. Alaina was wearing a dark blue sports bra, dark blue briefs, black kneepads and black boots for practice. Peggy nodded as Alaina walked out. "Ya really are a big girl. Too bad the bigger ya are the harder ya get slammed down when ya step in there with me." Peggy said with a wink, pointing to herself with her thumb.

Alaina chuckled and smiled at Peggy. "Pegs sure doesn't lack for confidence does she Julia?" Alaina said as she put her arm around her tag partner. "Julia you pick: Lifting or ring stuff first?" Alaina added as she looked Peggy over.

Julia headed on into the arena with Peggy and Alaina, then on to the gym while Peggy and Alaina changed. She didn’t have to wait long, as Peggy came running right out only a couple minutes later, with Alaina following suit not long after.

“You can say that again.” Julia replied with a chuckle when Alaina mentioned the Irish girl’s confidence. Then when the task of deciding how to kick this off fell to her, the cowgirl tapped a finger on her chin while thinking for a moment. “Hmm... Well, sparring’s more fun, so lets start with that.” she answered, giving Alaina a pat on the back while heading over to the empty ring.

The cowgirl hopped up onto the apron and grabbed hold of the top rope, then used it to hurl herself up and over the rope, before landing perfectly on her feet in the ring. “Mind if I start things out with her, Alaina?” Julia called out the Amazon while removing her coat and shirt, which she hang up on one of the steel ringposts, leaving her in a bra, jeans and her cowgirl boots. A tad awkward for wrestling attire, but it would work.

Alaina stepped back and sat in a chair. "She is all yours Julia baby!" Alaina said as she sat and cleared her throat. "Making her way to the ring from Ireland, standing at 5'6'' weighing in at about 145ish pounds.... the rookie phenom, the lady slamming wonder, Peggy! Oh... and Julia is here too." Alaina called out as faux announcement, winking at Julia.

Peggy held her arms high and smiled. She knew these two were great to watch in the ring.... she never expected them to be so.... open? Fun? Normal? Something like that. She waited for Julia get get ready, and let out a bit of a cat call whistle as Julia took her shirt off. "Good thing the boys aren't here, they'd be fallin' for ya and trippin' over their own feet!" Peggy said.

The ding ding of the ringbell sounded, and Peggy moved at Julia, hoping to lock up in a grapple! While she was fast, surprisingly so, she knew she wasn't able to keep up with Julia. Peggy had to keep things on the slower side....

Julia stuck her tongue out at Alaina in response to the faux announcement before turning her attention back to the Irish girl in the ring with her. “Heh. Well they’d be goin’ home disappointed. This cowgirl’s already taken.” she replied while stretching her legs a bit. The jeans didn’t give her as much flexibility as she normally would’ve had, but she could still move well enough.

The blonde then put her hands up and crouched a bit as the bell rang. And when Peggy came in for the lockup, Julia was a bit surprised by the girl’s speed, and how aggressive this opening move was. She got her arms up and engaged the lockup, but didn’t have any momentum to use to push Peggy back. Julia quickly felt her feet taking backward steps toward the ropes. And though she wasn’t about to treat this spar as if it were an important match, she wasn’t about to let herself get pushed around so easily by this rookie either.

As she came close to the ropes, Julia redirected their path by turning her body. The backward steps continued, but they were now leading them both away from the ropes and back toward the center of the ring. Once she was sure she was out of danger of being backed all the way into the ropes, Julia quickly tried to sling an arm around Peggy’s head and neck to transition into a side headlock.

Peggy was encouraged as things initially went her way, but Julia was a very smart opponent. "Ngh!" Peggy grunted as she found herself trapped in a side headlock in the center of the ring! Well, all good things must come to an end...

Peggy reached up and grabbed at Julia's left wrist, pulling it away and twisting her torso as much as she could at the same time! "Too bad the kid from Ireland can grapple my dear!" Peggy said as she tried to keep moving, keeping hold of Julias left arm and getting behind the cowgirl to place her in a hammerlock! Nothing crazy, but if anything it did send the message that Peggy wasn't going to succumb to anything that would work against your average ho-hum wrestler from a smaller promotion.

Alaina watched and clapped, smiling a little bit. "Julia I like what I see so far, ya think Junko would want to get her hands on Pegs?"

Julia didn’t have the headlock applied long at all before Peggy slipped right out of it, twisting the cowgirl’s arm behind her back in a hammerlock at the same time. And the Irish girl’s comment brought a small grin to the blonde’s lips. “Heh. Wouldn’t have expected any less.”

Then when she heard Alaina’s comment about Junko, Julia couldn’t help but laugh a bit. “Yeah, probably in more ways than one.” she replied half-jokingly. But then it was time to put the jokes aside and get focused on the spar again. Peggy had done well to get the quick reversal off as cleanly as she had. But Julia had plenty of options here. Nothing to get too worried over.

Deciding on the option that would best utilize her speed, Julia dropped down and twisted her body, while positioning one leg in front of both of Peggy’s while bringing the other to push the girl’s limbs from behind. If it worked, she’d have the new gal taking a forward tumble with a drop toe hold of sorts.

Peggy eyes widened as she found herself falling straight down at the mat! "Omph!" Peggy quickly rolled to her side to get up, hopefully further away from Julia. As Peggy rose to her feet she gave the mat a slap of frustration. "Damn it... you guys are a lot better n' the ladies I fought back home in my little rinky promotion in semi-rural Ireland aren't ya?" Peggy knew Julia was fast indeed.... but it was time to show her that a curvy lass could move too!

Peggy ran right at Julia as if she were going to shoulder block the woman but at the last second Peggy wanted to make the slightest of contact and spin around to the back of the cowgirl! Once Julia turned around Peggy would have a nice little dropkick ready, aimed directly at Julia's chest!

Julia quickly hopped up after tripping Peggy down to the mat, ready to go again. Peggy was quick to follow suit, and the cowgirl braced herself for what initially seemed like a fairly obvious counterstrike from the Irish gal. She planted her feet and tensed up, just waiting for the shoulder block to come in. And it did...sort of. But it was only a slight touch, leaving the blonde confused for a split second while Peggy spun around her. Julia quickly turned to see what the redhead was up to, only for a pair of boots to smack right into her chest!

“Ugh!” Julia grunted as she fell back. As soon as she hit the mat she rolled right back up to her feet, grinning and nodding to Peggy. “Clever! Didn’t see that one comin’.” she said, clapping her hands a couple times. Then once again, she’d crouch down and start circling Peggy for a few seconds before lunging in for another lockup attempt. Clearly Peggy was a crafty one. Even if this was just a fun little spar, it was apparent Julia was going to have to turn things up a notch.

"Thanks!" Peggy said with a smile, waiting for Julia's next action. She was expecting something flashy and fast. Instead, the cowgirl moved in quickly for a lockup! Peggy was caught off guard and stumbled back a bit, trying to regain her footing against Julia!

"Argh, damn!" Peggy cursed as she tried to maneuver herself and keep Julia in the center of the ring... which she was finding hard to do as she stumbled back!

This time Julia had the momentum and the leverage, allowing her to drive the stronger girl back momentarily. But Peggy wasn’t making it easy, and kept fighting against the cowgirl’s efforts. Once they were just close enough to the ropes behind the redhead though, Julia launched right into her next move.

Keeping her arms locked up with Peggy’s, the cowgirl changed the direction of her steps to start turning them around, bringing Julia toward the ropes instead. And as she did, the blonde jumped up and pushed off the top rope with her feet, sending her spinning through the air while still locked up with the Irishwoman. While suspended, Julia shifted an arm to hook under one of Peggy’s, then allowed gravity to bring her down while twisting her body to the side, aiming to take her foe down with an extremely fancy looking arm drag.
