Tension World Title Match: Reira Kirishima (C) Vs. Clyde Gastin (W/Eliza Harenwood) - (Complete)

Mercy was starting to get excited as she watched Clyde hit his big move. As the crowd popped up around her, she wanted to stand up but when Eliza stood, she could feel her balance give away so she remained seated. Mercy then winced as Eliza screamed but she decided to give her support as the crowd cheered along the count.

"Gooooo Clyde!" She chirped, lifting her hand to her lips to help push her quieter voice through the raucous crowd.

"THREEE!!!"

The bell rang and the packed Kyoto crowd of Thousands roared and leaped to their feet in deafening applause. Clyde's eyes shot widen open as he heard the cries of the fans, Eliza, and Mercy! His theme song suddenly began to blast over the arena speakers and he'd blink through, blurry and bloodied vision as he began to slowly push himself up to his knees to sit beside Reira.

He heard the bell and his music was playing, but it didn't feel real. He couldn't fathom that he actually managed to pull it off and win until the referee came with the Tension World Title and presented it to the bloodied cowboy who looked on in disbelief before a smile slowly twitched upon his lips as he took the title in his hands and buried his bloodied and now tearful face against the big gold belt, clinging tightly to it.

<"Here is your winner and the New...... AFW Tension World Champion...... CLLLYYYYDEE GAAASSSTIIIN!!!>

Hearing his victory announced alongside the roar of the crowd, Clyde shut his eyes tightly and gritted his teeth. This wasn't a dream. He was awake and this moment was very real. He did it.

After all the hell he had been through with General Manager Melissa Sellers, Her Thorns, Allison Watson and King, finally Clyde made something good happen. He managed to become the World Champion of AFW Tension. Finally, he was something great.

Slowly Clyde began to rise to his feet with the aid of the Ref at his side who would grasp his free wrist and raise his hand in the air while Clyde, with the other, raised The World Title high above his drooping head, panting tired and furiously as blood ran down the side of his battered face. Behind him, the flash of thousands of cameras encompassed around him while he looked down at the stands at Mercy and Eliza, showing them the title.

The AFWTron zoomed in on his bloodied face with the title hanging close to his cheek, he turned his head and until the corner of his eye faced the camera where he'd simply gaze at it before emitting a tired but smug grin as his tongue slid out the corner of his mouth, licking at the blood at the corner of his lips, nodding repeatedly at the camera.

Finally, he did it.

Mercy's eyes lit up when the three count hit, but when the crowd erupted and she herself tried to stand up, she found herself with her eyes closed. She leaned against Eliza briefly before She shook her head and tried to blink away the persistent headache.

Mercy then turned and faced Eliza, squeezing the girl's shoulder for a moment. "Tell Clyde I'm sorry." She tried to yell through the cheer of the crowd. She could barely hear herself, she didn't know if Eliza could hear her.

Mercy then began to leave her seat, shuffling past the noisy crowd but stopped and looked back at Clyde and then Eliza. She opened her mouth to speak and then stopped, letting her head droop a bit as she pressed one hand to it and shuffled her way through the crowd and up the stairs where she could get some peace and quiet and then go to the infirmary.

While Clyde celebrated, Reira, now an ex-champ, just another loser like all the people she had mocked and claimed were loser's she had beaten, was being carted out on a stretcher by medical staff, completely unconscious, her body limp.

After carting her out, the medical team looked to Clyde, asking if he wanted help.

Clyde was battered and bloodied but nothing could stop him from basking in the glory of the most important victory of his career and life. As pyro exploded at the top of the arena where confetti began to rain down, Clyde held up the title for all to see and the wrestler that was now their champion. Watching as the medical team carted Reira away. The Japanese crowd was still a more respectful one than the American lot and despite how vile Reira was, they gave her a round of applause. Even Clyde gave his extremely strong opponent a small bow as she was removed.

Everything in this moment felt perfect but something, or rather someone, was missing... He turned around just in time to be caught by Eliza, who had been part his support for the entire match. He smiled brightly at her as she jumped in celebration as the confetti rained over them.

"Eliza!!! I did it!!!" He exclaimed excitedly before suddenly lunging into her to give her a big hug, trying to lift her off the mat, but the cowboy was far too tired and worn out to do it, so he let her down from the few inches he lifted her.

"...Did you... *huff*... Just call me, 'baby'?" He triedly asked with a wry, teasing grin before laughing it off and smiling pleasantly at Eliza, trailing his hand to her shoulder.

"Really... Eliza... Thank ya. Thank ya fer' supportin' me and bein' in my corner....I.... *Huff*... I don't think I coudla done this without ya." He said as he gave her another hug before pulling away.

"Now... W-Where's.... Whe....Where's Mercy? She alright?" Asked the exhausted and bloodied cowboy as he tried to peak over Eliza's shoulder and spot Mercy.

Clyde was all smiles as he saw Eliza, the joy on her face, the embrace of someone warm and familiar... But when he saw that look on Eliza's face before she gave him the news, Clyde's face sort of drooped.

"She... left?" He muttered before looking to Eliza with clear worry on his face and wide eyes "Is she hurt!?? Is she...?" He paused and closed his eyes, wishing Eliza had gone with her instead. But he couldn't be mad at her.

And Mercy didn't need to be sorry.

"I'll... I'll be fine!" He said through a wince, his mind more fixated on that stubborn pinkette who went through the busy crowd! She could have easily asked Eliza to take her backstage to a Doctor instantly! He tried to spot her but amongst the roaring crowd, he had no chance. Clyde cussed under his breath.

The cowboy gave one last arm raise of the title his tired arm, before he rolled out of the ring and waited for Eliza to tag along so the two could make their exit,  slowly but surely dragging his feet up the ring ramp.

Everything was going to be better now and with a tear steaming down his bloodied face, Clyde left the arena a champion, finally earning what he suffered so long to achieve.

He was somebody now.
