Akiko Takamiya vs Melody Serperior - No Disqualifications match

After successfully getting the chair, Akiko swung it and landed a hard hit on Melody's chest.

The impact forced Melody back to a sitted position, open for further offense from the redhead.

Blasting Melody back down, Akiko stood over her as she raised the chair, with a slight hint of guilt on her face as she swung down, intending to bash her foe over the head.

With the stinging (and burning) pain in her chest, Melody grew afraid as Akiko was coming closer with the chair in her hand, with a bit of sadness showing on her face

Melody understood why when the champion swung the chair upwards, preparing to hit her head in with a chair.

"DON'T!"

She tried to roll to the side and stand upright, her right leg be damned. If she stood up in time and Akiko went for another hit with the chair, Melody would pivot around her right leg (as painful as that would be) and try and superkick the chair into redhead's face with her left.

In the brief moment of hesitation before the redhead swung, Melody dove out of the way and left Akiko's attack to hit nothing but air. "Shit...!" cursing her conscience for acting up now of all times, the fiery-haired girl quickly attempted to recover and bring the chair swinging around again for another attack.

Or she would have, had her green-haired foe not thrown a hard kick out of nowhere, slamming into the chair and causing it to bash Akiko right in the face. Taking the brunt of the hit right on the nose, she was instantly knocked into a daze, causing her to release the chair, right before falling backwards and landing flat on her back. Sprawled out across the hard arena floor, the fiery-haired girl laid there helpless and wide open for what her opponent had planned next.

"GODFUCKIN..."

Melody screamed as all her weight came on her bad leg during the superkick. It was, seemingly, worth it, as Akiko was hit by the chair, face first.

Panting, Melody hobbled to the champion and tried to get the redhead to her feet by her fiery hair

"Alright (pant), let's start wrapping it up (pant), shall we?

Gritting her teeth through pain in her leg, she would try and lead Akiko to the ring and would try to roll her into the ring.

Taking a quick moment, Melody realized that, despite every part of the body hurting (even the ones she really wouldn't like to talk about), she was actually going to pin one of the champions, one of the most important people in the whole company!

Getting into the ring, she would try and pin still laying Akiko, hopefully for a 3 count.

Groggy and exhausted, Akiko was easily dragged along and tossed into the ring, her head still spinning from getting smacked with the chair. Struggling to regain her senses, the fiery-haired girl just groaned as she was pushed down onto her back, while Melody pinned her down.

"ONE!"

Ref's hand came down for the one count. It didn't seem like Akiko would kick out.

"Did.... I really do it?", was the thought that was going through her head as ref's hand came down for 2. The redhead seemed to be out. It actually felt to her that she did it.

"TWO!"

Akiko's daze seemed to clear up just enough for her to realize her situation, right as the ref's hand came down for the second count. The ref's hand was already about to swing down for the third and final time, but a sudden spike of adrenaline hit Akiko's body. Gathering as much strength as she could, she reached her arm up into the air, lifting her shoulder off the mat to break the pin, a mere moment before the ref's hand slapped the mat.

"THRE----NO!", ref counted, as crowd went wild for the kick out

Just as Akiko pulled her shoulder up, Melody jolted from the champion in surprise. With a shocked look on her face she looked at the redhead and the ref. Dragging herself towards the ropes, she pulled herself to a standing position and hobbled to the ref.

"Two?!"

"Yes"

"Are you sure? Really felt like 3 to me"

"It was 2. Sorry but the match goes on."

Deciding not to be a jerk for pressing the matter too much, Melody looked at her downed opponent. Akiko didn't seem like mustering any offence at this point. It seemed to Melody that one good hit is all it would take to keep the Tag Champ down at this point.

She looked at the nearest corner to her position, and then to her hurt leg. If she could hit her finisher, it will all be over, she would win. The problem was her right leg. She wasn't sure whether she could tolerate the pain from running on both legs. However, she was so close to winning, to pinning a champion in this company. She could tolerate 1 minute of pain on her leg if it meant doing that.

As such, she hobbled towards the corner, awaiting for champion to get her head off the ground.

"Get up. Get up! GET UP!

Though she narrowly escaped defeat, Akiko's situation hadn't improved much. Her head was still pounding, making it hard for her to focus as she rolled over onto her belly. Thankfully Melody had tried to argue with the referee, giving her at least a few seconds to catch her breath and try to think of what to do.

Judging from the shouting at her, the green-haired girl was waiting a short distance away, likely readying a running attack as soon as she tried to get up. The fiery-haired girl couldn't really fathom what her foe had in mind, considering her injured leg, but there was only one way to find out. Placing her palms against the mat, Akiko started to push herself upwards, readying herself for whatever Melody was going to throw at her.
