Melody Serperior vs Garuga Ise, standard match

After quite a bit of time, Ise had once again signed on for a match.

While she was waiting behind the curtain, the ring announcer was already about to do his job.
"Ladies and gentleman. Your next contender, weighing in at 160 pound and standing 6´1 foot tall, comes to you from TOKYO, JAPAN! PLEASE WELCOME THE COP FROM THE TOP, POLICE LIEUTNANT GARUGA ISE! "
As she had expected, Ise got the cheap clap for praising the hometown and a good solid reaction in general. As regular police officer and despite being more a tweener than a face lately, Ise still had quite a following as a rare family friendly wrestler in AFW, and many puro fans also spoke admirably of her performances too for being an old school type wrestler.

Theme
The good old theme song she used for years blared through the speakers, bathing the entrance area with a red glowing light and the howling of police sirens when she stepped out and made a power-projecting walk to the ring, swinging a police baton with the greatest of ease and a very confident smile on the face, occasionally branching out to shake hands with fans or pose with a special one who had a sign rooting for her. Basically, she played her clean police role like the seasoned veteran she was.

She wore two heavy police boots, a long brown trouser with a black belt to hold it in place, a blue Ike vest with free arms, white gloves and a massive archer cord over the shoulder. She also wore a state trooper bike helmet and sunglasses, but the later went as a souvenir to her special fan. A rather new piece of her attire was a medal for good conduct, a round shaped police medal, and some elbow and knee protectors with a siren on them.

Swinging the baton around one last time, she would salute and bow into every corner for her fans and the other people in the arena.

Melody sat in the locker room, getting ready for another match. She was still down on her luck, since she really had only a couple wins and a whole lot more losses behind her in her short career. Worst of all was her latest loss to Orochi, as she not only lost the match, but was KO'd by her opponent as well. It wasn't easy to maintain an optimistic view in the face of her failures.

Still, as she was dressed in her ring attire, and once she heard a crewmember knocking on the door, letting her know that it was 3 minutes to her entrance, she was piped up, and ready to finally get more wins to her record.

Before she exit the room, however, she took one last look on her opponent's profile she was sent over the weekend. Although facing a semi retired wrestler wasn't anything out of the ordinary in wrestling, Melody went slightly wide-eyed when she learned that her opponent was an active police officer. One that seemed to have a few bad rumours about her. Still, Melody wasn't the one to believe a lot of things about anyone, though with the track record of her opponents having bad rumours about them and them using shady tactics in matches, Melody knew she had to be on alert during the match. She also knew that she shouldn't underestimate her opponent just because she wasn't competing actively anymore.

Within a few moments, she burst out on to the entrance ramp to cheers from the crowd...and a few boos. Although she felt a bit down about that, she did remember that Ise was a Tokyo native, so it was somewhat natural that some would boo Melody in support of the city native.

The ring announcer's voice sounded on the PA: "And her opponent, weighing in at 57 kg and standing in at 5'9 feet tall, from London, England, MELODY SERPERIOR!"


Melody gave high-fives to the fans in the front row, did a loop around the ring, before finally coming in, taking one last bow as her theme faded out.

She would approach the middle of the ring, with her hand outstretched for a handshake as a show of respect to her opponent: "Hello! I hope we'll have a great match!"

While her opponent had made an entrance, Ise had given the ring gear she did not need to a stage hand that had been waiting beside the ring for his job to actually happen. Then she had stretched a little and relaxed in the corner until the entrance of the other girl was over.

When her opponent finally stood in the middle of the ring and offered her handshake, Ise would hulk forward until she was face to face with her opponent. Snorting through both nostrils, she looked like she was legit pissed.

Until a big smile flashed over her face while she shook the offered hand.
"Hello Miss Serperior. I was actually looking forward to the match."

Melody went wide-eyed in surprise as she saw the expression on Ise's face. For a second, she assumed that the offer of a handshake somehow offended the woman. Within a blink of an eye, however. her face shifted to a simple, big, pleasant smile on her face as the police officer simply accepted the handshake.

As Melody would release Ise's hand, still slightly confused over her earlier expression, she would go towards her corner, awaiting the ring of the bell to signal the start of the match.

A look of confusion, that was exactly what Ise had expected but not necessarily hoped to see. Her opponent was still relatively new in the AFW, and psychology was a rather big part of being good or believable in the ring.

Stepping around the ring while moving her elbow and kneepads in the right position again. Not that she was necessarily dissatisfied with their positions, but she wanted to use the time to look at the obvious capabilities of the other girl. Obviously good material for a wrestler.
"Well, I am ready when you are."
She declared, waiting for the bell to ring so that she could shoot forward with a crushing shoulder block.

Melody and Ise made their final preparations for the match, as Melody would take off her jacket, shirt and sleeves to reveal her usual ring attire (green sports bra, racer pants, and green shoes), and nod to what Ise said, showing that she is ready.

As the bell would ring, Ise would rush at her with an incredible speed, ramming her shoulder into Melody's stomach! As a result of the move, Melody doubled down in pain. However, the green-ette did not go down that easily, and as Ise was still close enough to her, she would try and retaliate with a stiff knee to the officer's stomach!

After the bell had rung, Ise considered every move to be legal. If her opponent had already mentally entered the match or not was not really something she took much thought into then. And best of all, it served a purpose. First of all, it showed Ise that her opponent was no slouch as she was able to retaliate quickly with a knee into her stomach.

"OUF!"
Air escaped her lungs as she was hit, causing her to back down and grab a rope for support and to break out of the first exchange.
"Time!"
She called out, although a little smile was in the corner of her mouth.

As Melody managed to land her knee, she would try to step towards Ise, to try to follow up from her attack. However, once Ise called for time, and ref shouted for a break, Melody realized that the police officer managed to reach the ropes.

Sighing, Melody raised her hands, and stepped back away, eager for Ise to step out to continue the match.

"So, you´re a rules abiding girl and let a woman past her prime get a break. Really nice of you."
Ise let out while she either theatrically held her hip as if she had severe pain there or waved off the referee when she asked if she could continue, still she would finally letting go of the rope with a big smile and adjust her kneepads again, ready to enter a lock up this time.

Although she would usually not make the beginning of a match so slow, she was indeed a little unaccustomed to actually wrestle. and then she wanted also to see the wood her opponent was made off.

After Ise commented on Melody following the rules, Melody nodded, although half expecting the officer to jump at her. Melody stood prepared, but her opponent didn't do that. Quite the opposite, Ise simply stepped out of the ropes preparing for a lock up. A few theories were popping in green-ette's head about Ise's actions and comments. Was she trying to figure out the best way to defeat her?

She couldn't give said theory a lot of thought, as she once again locked up with Ise. She tried to lead her opponent away from the ropes, stepping back to make that happen by taking 2 steps back, allowing Ise to push her back.

Once they were far enough away, Melody attempted to grab Ise's head into a headlock. With her poor ability with holds, the green-ette wouldn't leave the officer in it for long, as she would run and jump into the air, trying to drive her opponent's head into the mat with a bulldog!
