Melody Serperior vs Garuga Ise, standard match

Now the tide had turned around, at least Ise was sure that she could put Melody down for good. She had yet to met a girl that had gotten up quickly after getting hit by her running elbow, and quite a few had to be stretchered out of the arena in her younger days.

Strange enough, her elbow had missed. Pretty surprising as she had been sure that the head of Melody had been there right along. And now she had not only missed but Melody hung around her head while she was dropped head first on the mat! Driven by her own movement, she bounced up from the floor and made a 180° degree spin so that she was lying on the back.

The impact of Melody's Leaf Blade cutter was so powerful, the much taller senior officer ended up bouncing off and turning on her back in midair. To all who were watching that match, it was clear that Ise was not getting up from that.

All that remained was the pin, which Melody was more than happy to do. Pushing herself on top of Ise with her arms and legs, she hooked the officer's leg, as the ref dropped to her knees and counted the pinfall...

That had hit the big cop pretty hard, anyone had been able to see that and a groan had first gone through the room and had been replaced by a loud cheer. Now there was not the question if Melody could put her down but if the police leutnant could kick out. From the point of view of Ise, things did not look too well. In fact they did not look at all because she had been stunned pretty bad and was now lying relatively motionless on the floor while the referee could go down on her knees and count to ONE!

"ONE!"

Despite a large cheer from the crowd as her finishing Leaf Blade Cutter was hit, all that Melody's ears were focused on was the ref's count. Ise was not moving after the move was hit, Melody made sure to push as much of her weight as possible onto the officer's shoulders...despite everything, Melody did not believe there was any way the officer could kick out...but that assessment did prove to be wrong at one time. And Melody's mind was questioning whether her opponent tonight might repeat it...

"TWO!"

Ise indeed usually had a few tricks up on her sleeves and maybe on other parts of her body. Many of her diehard fans always anticipated that she could and would weasel her way out of a situation or simply power out when she was younger. But if you were closer, you could probably see that the lights were severely dimmed this time. It did not especially pay off when you did not regularly compete, and maybe it would cause her to wrestle a little bit more in the future again.

But this would certainly not be today as the referee counted a final time to a THREE!

"THREE!"

DING DING DING!

Melody sighed in relief as the pinfall, as well as the match, came to an end, highlighted by the ringing of the bell and the cheers throughout the arena, as the Senior Officer was defeated, and Melody was victorious.

She slowly stood up off of Ise, referee grabbing her arm, and raising it into the air in victory, with the announcer proclaiming in both Japanese and English the winner of the match.

Wearing a massive smile on her face, Melody bowed to the crowd the moment ref let go of her arm, approaching the turnbuckle and posing in victory, to further cheers from this fans for the outstanding performance from both competitors!

Once she was done, she approached her defeated opponent, outstretching her hand to help the officer up to her feet: "You alright there?"

It was pretty quickly over when you had thought how the match had been a back and forth, but that was one of the greater joys of wrestling if you were not the one that had been planted on the mat with a surprising cutter like this. The fans seemed to also have not expected it so that they had been a little bit slow to cheer after the final fall had been counted, but then it was a pretty good cheer.

Slowly getting up with the help of her now former opponent, Ise would grin and shake the hand of the other girl.
"That was pretty good. Good match, I guess you will make it here quite well."

"Thank you very much, officer!", Melody replied, grinning from ear to ear for the praise she received from Ise.

As one final showcase of sportswomanship, and in gratitude of the great match, Melody lifted Ise's arm into the air for a solid five seconds. She would bow to the officer, and then the crowd, before rolling out of the ring, allowing tonight's show to continue...
