Navi Florges vs. Blossom Fields - Grin and Bear It

What? It did smell nice. Some people just didn’t know how to take a complement, Blossom figured.

It was just a small thought. You know. Something to occupy her time as she was looking up at the light.

She didn’t stay down there for long, at least. Before Blossom could get too comfortable, Navi reached down and plucked her off the floor, lifting her by the head, only to hoist her up and drop her straight down. Right onto her back, right to the canvas.

None to pleasant, and Blossom’s cries of pain definitely echoed that, emanating from the ring as she bounced off the impact. Stinging, aching, she couldn’t do much more than lay there as the pain ran its course, wondering what her opponent would do next.

With Navi viciously planting her opponent into the canvas, the blonde would believe it was time to end the match. Grabbing at the brunette's arm, she would yank her up to her feet and launch her towards the ropes, awaiting her to rebound so that she could push her up into the air, and drive her back into the ground for a vicious Pop-Up Powerbomb!

Blossom would have loved nothing more than to stay down and rest for a few moments, get her equilibrium back. Navi was a pretty relentless opponent, always keeping her on the move, and it didn’t help that she seemed oddly driven - not the meanest opponent she’d ever faced, but definitely one of the most aggressive. Blossom could deal with this, she was confident on that, but only after she caught her breath.

Navi wasn’t letting that happen, though. Only a moment passed before the blonde had her up and on her feet. With hard shove, she was sent running towards the ropes at full speed.

She had no clue what this was a setup for, and she didn’t want to know. Instead of bouncing off the ropes after she turned around, Blossom wrapped her arms over the top and gripped them hard, stopping all of her momentum at once. She stayed there, leaning back and huffing. She wasn't sure what the next step would be, but she wasn’t thinking that far ahead.

Navi paid close attention to Blossom, waiting for her brunette rival to rebound the ropes and get closer, for her to execute her finisher for the win!

...except there was a slight problem of the leotard wearing wrestler stopping her momentum dead in her tracks, managing to grab at the ropes in order to cancel the rebound!

Navi quietly swore under her breath, angrily stomping towards Blossom with the only thought on her mind to yank her out of there, with no thought of the possibility that Blossom could have something in mind in terms of offense...

Phew. That worked. Close one.

Blossom shook her head, trying to get a hold on the situation. Navi had been setting up for something big there, no question, and it was definitely something she wanted no part of. Which meant that it would behoove her to start maneuvering this match to a conclusion. Fast.

Blossom took a deep breath as Navi storm forward, leaned back, then bounced off the ropes for an extra boost of speed as she charged forward. Dipping down, she threw her entire body hard into her opponent’s midsection, looking to nail her with a solid spear and take her to the mat.

With Navi's single minded aim in mind, she didn't have a care in the world that Blossom might come straight out of the ropes at her, and attempt an offensive manuever that might lead to her demise shortly thereafter...

...which is exactly what her brunette foe had in mind as she came out of the ropes, using them as a slight boost in speed. With her own momentum, she would rush straight at Navi, ducking down as she nailed her shoulder straight into the loudmouthed blonde's stomach for a vicious Spear!

"GUUUUAAAAAAGH!!!"

Not helping the matters for Navi was that her own physical momentum only aided Blossom's move, as she dropped down onto the canvas in pain, cringing and coughing as she hugged her hurt stomach...

Being small had a lot of disadvantages, but it wasn’t all bad. In Blossom’s experience, you just had to work hard to figure out ways to make it work for you, to make negatives into positives. A big one? She was solid, she was small, and that meant she could turn her body into a human bullet with ease, and get some really devastating results out of it all. As Navi would agree with.

The blow landed, and Blossom rolled away from her opponent, getting back up to a knee as soon as she could. The last thing she wanted to do was give a woman like this room to breathe, to let her seize the advantage. She’d already shown she could run away with this match if she had the chances, and Blossom wasn’t about to let that slip up again.

”Okay, let’s just…” She reached down and got a tight hold of Navi’s head, giving it a good squeeze as she worked a headlock, wrenching her neck from side to side. She had plans, but she wanted to make sure this woman was good and pliant first, leaving little to chance.

With Navi herself relatively small compared to most ladies at AFW, she could somewhat share her rival's sentiment...though in her instance, she chose to focus on getting strong enough to lift bigger foes, rather than on momentum based offense.

And at the minute, she felt the result of what could be when a smaller wrestler gets enough momentum - a spear of a similar caliber of a bigger opponent, leaving her just as much in pain and without air like a bigger spear would.

Blossom would be quick on her feet to capitalize on the move, seizing Navi's head into a headlock, Navi uncomfortable groaning in the hold, unable to escape it in her current state...

Okay, headlock secure. First part down.

Blossom glanced behind her, then took a step back, getting Navi into just the right position for what would come next. The match had taken a toll on her, even if it hadn’t been the longest, and the last thing she wanted to do was botch this up. It would be better to keep this far away from the ropes, too, especially since she was of a mind to end this with a submission hold if brute force didn’t work.

”Up you go!”

Blossom jerked back hard, kick her legs forward, and attempted to lift Navi up and over, hoping to drop her flat on her back with a hard snap suplex, planting her back down for a hard crash on the canvas.

Still winded from the earlier Spear, Navi was easily put into position Blossom wanted, the blonde's back facing the middle of the ring...

From there, Blossom would lift Navi upwards with ease, and within a millisecond, Navi would be back on the ground, the momentum of her brief flight rushing into her spine as she crashed onto the mat with a Snap Suplex!

"GRAAAAGH!", she screamed, gritting her teeth!
